I just started uploading videos to my TH-cam page about a month ago. The quality isn't so good. I think it's because Iike any task I am new and learning, I'm starting to get comfortable with doing it and I'm now learning how to edit my own videos and I know my video content will improve over time. The one thing that I commend you on is I didn't understand how hard it is to take that first step until I actually did that first step. Putting yourself out there is a huge thing to do. It's getting out of your comfort zone and learning something new. A lot of people don't understand that in life we learn many things when we fail because we adapt and keep going and learn more and more. Thank you for this video It is helping me learn how to improve myself.

For me personally I found you with the apartment tour video, the reason I subscribe is because the view from the apartment and the desk by the window. I just really like that kind of setup.

I have just started content creation on Instagram but even then this video was kinda helpful (especially since I plan to create content for YT later on too). Finally, I like how your videos look effortless, fun, and conversational with some funny moments.
I love the channel because of your funny personality and how you are on camera. It feels like it's the real you 🍻 🥂. Those tips are great, take you very much. The boost given by Graham was lucky move, which doesn’t take away the quality of your videos. I’ve been creating content for a few years, but still didn’t have that, even though people like the value I deliver. In the end, I do it because I love it.
Congrats on the milestone, Taylor! I honestly forget which video was the first one I saw because I went back and watched a few others from before I subscribed after the fact, but it was sometime around the beginning of 2022, so I'm pretty squarely in the "early Phase 4" timeframe. Probably one of the consulting vids, because I remember commenting about considering that path myself (still trying to find the right path, tbh). I felt it was my duty as a fellow Quaker (albeit 10 years ahead of you) to subscribe and support your channel, but your content was interesting too. I'd say the fact that you do reply to so many comments is one of the best parts of your content because it really helps generate a sticky connection, making us as your viewers feel more like your friends, rather than just consumers of your content. As for future content suggestions, maybe some more experiential reviews of NYC attractions and restaurants? It may be your home now, but you can still probably get away with going to see some of the touristy sights that us natives never do. I know whenever I come into NYC from Westchester, I'm at a loss for suggesting places to meet up with friends for lunch/dinner/drinks, so I usually just suggest the same handful of spots or leave it up to them. I don't have an Instagram, but I guess maybe you can add me on LinkedIn? hahaha (...Although that actually might be helpful, since I'm still looking for a new job and having more LinkedIn connections is helpful in such endeavors) Should be easy to find; if you search my name in combination with Penn as my school, I'm the only one. If you wanna meet up and chat, that'd be cool. 🗽

Congrats! I'm going into my senior year of high school and I'm trying to apply to business schools like Wharton and others. I hope that once I'm in college, I'm as put together as you are. It seems like you have done a lot of planning and branching out within your life even at a young age. It's really interesting to see that it is possible to actually do what you love. A lot of people make it seem to be very negative, saying things like you're gonna be working a job you hate or they're gonna work you to the bone forever. But it seems if you have the right mindset you can actually do something you love. I have no aspirations for youtube, (don't mind my dumb kid videos), but I am excited to see what the future beholds me in terms of educational and professional areas.
Hey! Sometimes life cannot be planned. It’s good to have a goal in life and direction you want to go to, but sometimes you cannot predict where you’ll end up! The best universities won’t determine your future, just do your best and you’ll succeed. I didn’t study at an Ivy League and got my Bsc in. My favorite part of this and other videos of yours is the little outtake at the end! I think why I come back to your videos is because of the fact that you could be a really stuffy snob (talking about finance and living in New York) but you're very relatable. I think you're underselling just how good your videos are. I can really see the thinking behind how the videos are made, specifically how you really lean on your strengths and add specific quirks on delivery/editing/shots. I also run a couple of channels, and watching your videos is very educational (not just what you say, but how you're doing the videos). It's pretty much why I subscribed.

I can't remember how exactly the algorithm stork dropped one of your videos onto my doorstep (probably the NYC vlog) but I initially kept watching because my tenant, who is also a good friend, went to Wharton and then went on to work in finance / consulting so I told her about your channel. Apologies in advance for the long comment but what I like most about your content is that the beginning of your youtube journey is very similar to mine (minus the Graham Stephan appearance and ivy league smarts 😆). I literally binge watched your entire channel and it's inspired and encouraged me that it's possible to grow a community and be successful on the platform. I'd love to see more of the behind the scenes of your creative process. No criticism, everything you put out is 🔥🔥. I seldom leave comments on videos but your content has had a way of evoking emotion, in me at least, where I have to thank you for taking the time to provide value to your audience. I know it's so time consuming to come up with video ideas, script, film, EDIT..., and upload so I truly appreciate the time you've dedicated to your craft. I started my channel mainly discussing the topic of reselling on Amazon and found some success but am now in the phase of pivoting to things I am more passionate about to see what may also grow my channel. Taylor! Love the video, and can relate to the position your channel was in during Phase 2 (right after gaining many new subscribers "inorganically"). My channel had something eerily similar happen! I made a viral LinkedIn post and it funneled ~5K sub to us over night. And I'm still on that journey to figure out how to best add value and retain + grow that audience! But as usual, great video. At first glance, I would've assumed I actually wouldn't have enjoyed your content too too much. Mainly because I already know about consulting and am normally not the one to watch vlog-type stuff. However, I think you strike a unique balance of valuable information, down-to-earth-ness, humor, and vloggy-ness that makes your content quite engaging! Plus, your editing is very impressive. I've tried taking many notes on it myself to adapt to my own videos. Here are some things I'd think about if I were you: ---To continue: including your humor, using editing as a way to introduce your personality and liveliness, adding tidbits of your personal life (b-roll with friends, shots from home in LA and NYC) ---New stuff to think about: talking about more existential topics (what motivates you, how have you grown since college, etc.), content around how you actually learned to make and edit YT videos, how you (will) manage work and YT Best of luck going forward! Congrats on the 100k! If there's any regret here is that is not discovering this channel any earlier to belong to the OG squad. This channel is really refreshing because you seem to be having fun most of the time. I get that there most likely stressful things in the consulting role and big city person life, but you don't seem to have ranted about it so far, and always took up the difficulty change as a challenge (apartment hunting, some client/project consulting examples, etc, etc). That. Is. Refreshing. I mean, you can also see this with your video thesis "always provide value", because you always have something to learn. And if you have something to learn, you always have something to share. I love that there's a healthy balance of privacy and sharing in on your videos because the things you share are also things that almost anyone, anywhere, with access to internet, can also learn. They're not just exclusively about you. I also love the rhythmic themes on the videos you post. They seem to cycle through work/money, lifestyle vlogs, travel. What brought me to you was actually the part about living in NYC and especially in your apartment and what has kept me here has been your personality. I'm gonna be honest.. I didn't like your videos about consulting, because it felt too far from what I'd like to do and same with "youtubering." Buuut still I like how inteligent you are and also very down to earth. So now I enjoy more your "every day life" videos and maybe travel vlogs. I think I keep watching because I'm from the NYC area and I enjoy the city! Also, you seem authentic in your presentation and I find the lifestyle you choose to lead pretty awesome! I liked the videos on consulting because I can see myself going into consulting for software development process and automation in the future (if writing software gets boring down the line). I just started uploading videos to my TH-cam page about a month ago. The quality isn't so good. I think it's because Iike any task I am new and learning, I'm starting to get comfortable with doing it and I'm now learning how to edit my own videos and I know my video content will improve over time. The one thing that I commend you on is I didn't understand how hard it is to take that first step until I actually did that first step. Putting yourself out there is a huge thing to do. It's getting out of your comfort zone and learning something new. A lot of people don't understand that in life we learn many things when we fail because we adapt and keep going and learn more and more. Thank you for this video It is helping me learn how to improve myself.

I have just started content creation on Instagram but even then this video was kinda helpful (especially since I plan to create content for YT later on too). Finally, I like how your videos look effortless, fun, and conversational with some funny moments.
I love the channel because of your funny personality and how you are on camera. It feels like it's the real you 🍻 🥂. And because not every video is about personal finance or finance in general because the videos I like the most are the travel one's, the vlogs and the personal finances not in any particular order.

Those tips are great, take you very much. The boost given by Graham was lucky move, which doesn’t take away the quality of your videos. I’ve been creating content for a few years, but still didn’t have that, even though people like the value I deliver. In the end, I do it because I love it.
Congrats on the milestone, Taylor! I honestly forget which video was the first one I saw because I went back and watched a few others from before I subscribed after the fact, but it was sometime around the beginning of 2022, so I'm pretty squarely in the "early Phase 4" timeframe. Probably one of the consulting vids, because I remember commenting about considering that path myself (still trying to find the right path, tbh).
I felt it was my duty as a fellow Quaker (albeit 10 years ahead of you) to subscribe and support your channel, but your content was interesting too. I'd say the fact that you do reply to so many comments is one of the best parts of your content because it really helps generate a sticky connection, making us as your viewers feel more like your friends, rather than just consumers of your content.
As for future content suggestions, maybe some more experiential reviews of NYC attractions and restaurants? It may be your home now, but you can still probably get away with going to see some of the touristy sights that us natives never do. I know whenever I come into NYC from Westchester, I'm at a loss for suggesting places to meet up with friends for lunch/dinner/drinks, so I usually just suggest the same handful of spots or leave it up to them.
I don't have an Instagram, but I guess maybe you can add me on LinkedIn? hahaha (...Although that actually might be helpful, since I'm still looking for a new job and having more LinkedIn connections is helpful in such endeavors) Should be easy to find; if you search my name in combination with Penn as my school, I'm the only one. Congrats! I'm going into my senior year of high school and I'm trying to apply to business schools like Wharton and others. I hope that once I'm in college, I'm as put together as you are. It seems like you have done a lot of planning and branching out within your life even at a young age. It's really interesting to see that it is possible to actually do what you love. A lot of people make it seem to be very negative, saying things like you're gonna be working a job you hate or they're gonna work you to the bone forever. But it seems if you have the right mindset you can actually do something you love. I have no aspirations for youtube, (don't mind my dumb kid videos), but I am excited to see what the future beholds me in terms of educational and professional areas.
Hey! Sometimes life cannot be planned. It’s good to have a goal in life and direction you want to go to, but sometimes you cannot predict where you’ll end up! The best universities won’t determine your future, just do your best and you’ll succeed. I didn’t study at an Ivy League and got my Bsc in. Econ and MSc in Finance and still made it to the biggest consultancy firm in the world! If you have any questions ever, feel free to reach out!
My favorite part of this and other videos of yours is the little outtake at the end! I think why I come back to your videos is because of the fact that you could be a really stuffy snob (talking about finance and living in New York) but you're very relatable. I think you're underselling just how good your videos are. I can really see the thinking behind how the videos are made, specifically how you really lean on your strengths and add specific quirks on delivery/editing/shots. I can't remember how exactly the algorithm stork dropped one of your videos onto my doorstep (probably the NYC vlog) but I initially kept watching because my tenant, who is also a good friend, went to Wharton and then went on to work in finance / consulting so I told her about your channel. Apologies in advance for the long comment but what I like most about your content is that the beginning of your youtube journey is very similar to mine (minus the Graham Stephan appearance and ivy league smarts 😆). I literally binge watched your entire channel and it's inspired and encouraged me that it's possible to grow a community and be successful on the platform. I'd love to see more of the behind the scenes of your creative process. No criticism, everything you put out is 🔥🔥. I seldom leave comments on videos but your content has had a way of evoking emotion, in me at least, where I have to thank you for taking the time to provide value to your audience. I know it's so time consuming to come up with video ideas, script, film, EDIT..., and upload so I truly appreciate the time you've dedicated to your craft. I started my channel mainly discussing the topic of reselling on Amazon and found some success but am now in the phase of pivoting to things I am more passionate about to see what may also grow my channel. Taylor! Love the video, and can relate to the position your channel was in during Phase 2 (right after gaining many new subscribers "inorganically"). My channel had something eerily similar happen! I made a viral LinkedIn post and it funneled ~5K sub to us over night. And I'm still on that journey to figure out how to best add value and retain + grow that audience!
But as usual, great video. At first glance, I would've assumed I actually wouldn't have enjoyed your content too too much. Mainly because I already know about consulting and am normally not the one to watch vlog-type stuff. However, I think you strike a unique balance of valuable information, down-to-earth-ness, humor, and vloggy-ness that makes your content quite engaging! Plus, your editing is very impressive. I've tried taking many notes on it myself to adapt to my own videos.
Here are some things I'd think about if I were you:
---To continue: including your humor, using editing as a way to introduce your personality and liveliness, adding tidbits of your personal life (b-roll with friends, shots from home in LA and NYC)
---New stuff to think about: talking about more existential topics (what motivates you, how have you grown since college, etc.), content around how you actually learned to make and edit YT videos, how you (will) manage work and YT

This channel is really refreshing because you seem to be having fun most of the time. I get that there most likely stressful things in the consulting role and big city person life, but you don't seem to have ranted about it so far, and always took up the difficulty change as a challenge (apartment hunting, some client/project consulting examples, etc, etc). That. Is. Refreshing.
I mean, you can also see this with your video thesis "always provide value", because you always have something to learn. And if you have something to learn, you always have something to share. I love that there's a healthy balance of privacy and sharing in on your videos because the things you share are also things that almost anyone, anywhere, with access to internet, can also learn. They're not just exclusively about you.
I also love the rhythmic themes on the videos you post. They seem to cycle through work/money, lifestyle vlogs, travel. Make it seem relatable and multi-faceted. It's not your just your typical TH-cam channel that talks about one thing and that thing only. Also, the semi-deadpan humour/personality adds a touch of quirk to the videos that just makes them so Taylor Bell.

What brought me to you was actually the part about living in NYC and especially in your apartment and what has kept me here has been your personality. I'm gonna be honest.. I didn't like your videos about consulting, because it felt too far from what I'd like to do and same with "youtubering." Buuut still I like how inteligent you are and also very down to earth. So now I enjoy more your "every day life" videos and maybe travel vlogs. I think in the beginning people come for the content but then they stay mostly for the personality (becoming kind of a fan).
