Good advice! I honestly wouldn't have thought to actually touch the curb during my road test, only angle the tires, because it's been drilled into my head not to hit the curb. Gotta remind myself intentional touch and unintentional hit are not the same thing.

You mentioned that on downhill with or without curb put the forward gear in manual transmission But as far I know also according to ICBC guidelines put the reverse gear for downhill parking in manual.

How do you know whether to turn it steering wheel all the way to the left or all the way to the right? Is up hill no matter which way I'm going it's always the same the left on uphill parking no matter the side without a curb? Like say he says to do a up hill park with a curb but your in a culdesac you do it then you turn around the culdesac then you on the opposite side of the rode an he tells you to do another uphill park would you still turn the steering wheel all the way to the left still? Then same question for down hill park with a curb in a culdesac asks you to do to both ways?

So down hill on a half curb are you putting your front tire up on the curb cause most likely your on a sidewalk or are you setting the tire so it's in the grove of the half curb cause your video goes back to part where you show no half curb an i find that miss leading?
Hey, I'm wondering because this happened in the first test I failed. What if during this parking uphill with a curb, the instructor has me do this on a flat road to simulate an uphill park (because there was no hill close to my DMV) Do I still have to get the back of the tires pushing against the curb? Also, second question, Is it safe to also use an emergency brake when uphill parking? I Heard I'm supposed to do that from a parent but I'm not sure it would be wise to do in a test.
Hi Dude Bruh - if the driving examiner is getting you to simulate the uphill parking on the flat, put the transmission into reverse and ease back. And yes, use the parking brake EVERY time you park the vehicle. That way it'll be where you left it when you come back to fetch your vehicle. Quick question, I am having an issue where when I'm turning I keep going into the lane that isn't closest to me for example I will be waiting to turn and looking to see whether there's two or three lanes coming up and I end up turning into the wrong one. I live in California and there isn't always lines in the road showing you where exactly to go. Do you have any tips that can help me with this?

hello sir, in fact today i was on a relatively flat road but my driving instructor told me it was an uphill but for me it was straight. My driving instructor seems to want to scold me, he is very angry, I don't know how to judge up and down on relatively flat roads with curves?
I've a question about downhill parking. If I need to back-up from a very steep downhill, the car doesn't go back when I put it in R gear. The gravity takes it forward. How can I make it go back?

This helped me so much! I just did my test today and they said I was the only one who touched the tires to the curb for downhill parking.

A common term that makes it easy to remember that parking uphill you turn the wheel away from the curb. :)
