Large groups like these actually get divided into 3 subgroups. Named green, yellow and orange. The green group is the slowest one and has a speed from around 20 to 25 kph. Yellow group drives at 25 to around 28. And the orange one drives faster. This is also the starting order and keeps it fun for everyone. Most of the time the groups do have a pacer at the front and the back of them. Loosely and not really that formally organized. In the group I am driving I usually am the pacer at the back of the fastest group. I try to relay info about the speed and gaps in the group to the pacer at the front using radios. So the speed I am driving is around 28 to something like 35. Peaking at 40 kph sometimes. Different tours organize a little bit different and create similar group structures, but naming them differently. When you take part in these tours it is a very good idea to bring some kind of navigation with you. So that when something happens and you get separated for some reason, you can catch up with the rest 👍
