- @mnveloguy visited germany for the start of his journey over the alps to the Gardasee and back.
I picked him up right after work in Aichach from the dealer called HoVelo and we rode together to Odelzhausen. Facing a massiv thunderstorm while we were riding. After we waited out the thunderstorm @mnveloguy rode to his hotel in Fürstenfeldbruck near Munich and I did head back home.
First time I tried this with english commentary.

You're welcome. Those lights are just perfect. I don't see any issues with them you can see them really really good and there's no chance of being not seen on the road. Have fun with your Urban. The saying anticipation is the greatest joy is not right when it comes to Velomobiles. You'll be stoked as soon as you ride it. Yours will even have the carbonfibre swing arm and mast
I've had to adjust my hot-spot lights; they were shining on the back of my head. Man, was that a PITA to get done.
@@Legborghini72 seems like going uphill and changing your position therefore is affecting how the light shines onto the back or your head. Especially in Ben's case in the vid
Your videos are getting better and better. Very interesting. And the quality is amazingly good. It's a pity that the sound gets a bit worse at minute 11. I can no longer understand your conversation. And I'm amazed at the good visibility of the indicators and the brake light
Thank you very much. Yeah somehow the sound is messed up at some parts but it's getting better to the end again 😊 the conversation was about the weather and how good the Bülk rides in crosswind

Thank you. Really appreciate your comment. Well a lot further wasnt gonna happen as the thunderstorm was so hard and I'm not sure what would happen if a lightning would hit me 😅
But rain didn't stop. Heading back was more like swimming 😜
What software are you using for video editing? It looks like it might be Insta360 Studio? Was your velo with a hood much faster than the Bülk Urban?
Normally I'm using Shotcut which is free to use and served my purposes quite well. You're right this time I used Insta360Studio ... it's more complicated. I'll stick to shotcut
I was faster as I have "hosen" on and the hood. But it's a hard comparison. I'm a bit stronger rider than Ben and he had just had a long flight to recover from. I experienced a 5 kph faster speed at 50kph when I'm using my hood versus riding without.
The DFXL and urban should be very similar in performance. The biggest difference would be in high speed handling. The DFXL without wheel pants isn’t the best in wind and high speeds. The urban does much better in this area.
@@mnveloguy yeah your right except I think you meant "without wheel pants"
And you're totally right I mainly use the wheel pants because of the handling. Crosswinds are a pinta with the DF without wheel pants. I had moments where I was dislocated by nearly one meter
