You saved me today. I actually started crying when my kiddo said the seatbelt was stuck. We were having one of those days and we were already late for school. I rearranged seats and watched this video in a parking lot at the store-thank you for making this video!
Some heroes wear capes. Others post videos about how to fix twisted seatbelts. This works! Can't thank you enough! Saved me lots of time -- and probably money, too.
@@NgN711 Actually these same thing happened about 5 years ago and had to take to the dealership and get a loner car 🚗 They ended up not charging me…said it was under warranty…for all we know the mechanic was back there with a nail file 😂🤣😂
YOU ARE ANSWERED PRAYER!!!! I have to take my grand babies to church in 2 hours and the seatbelt got stuck!! There was nooooooo way I could go without being able to properly secure the car seat…Thank you sooooooo much ❤️❤️ God Bless you for sharing 🙏🏾
After watching video after video of different guys ''showing'' how to fix this problem, each one practically dismantling the car to do it, I was feeling discouraged that it was a job I could attempt......... and then I found your nail file post !!!!! Haaaaa oh it did work beautifully and I didn't have a nail file but instead used a small rounded metal spatula, and in literally a minute voila !!! Good as new, with nary a screw removed. When I came back in the house my hubby asked if I wanted him to try to go out and try to fix it for me,,, I said ''It's done!" I showed him YOUR video and he said that is great!!! Sometimes people (aka men) try to overthink and make things complicated, your simple solution rocks !!! /thank you !
Your genius appear genius. I took a butter knife, and it took me less than one minute to get it untangled and all the videos I watched, is the easiest and the fastest. Thank you thank you thank you.
I'm a LYFT driver and a passenger messed up my belt identical as yours. I tried your method and with some pulling, tuging, and twisitng, it worked it about 1 minute!!! Thank you very much for this method, you saved me some $$$. Jim
I was trying this, but mine was really stuck in the corner. I prayed and I figured it was easier to push it all back in, and viola it worked. Thank you so much for this video. This was exactly my issue. Your title is perfect for finding this solution! God bless you.
Excellent share!! You just saved me a TON of headache! Searching through all the videos about removing the retractor and permanently altering the device by grinding or whatever… I saw your thumbnail that looked exactly like my belt. Clicked it. Watched it. Grabbed a butter knife. Stuck the handle in there and in less than 30 seconds, my belt was fixed!! Thank you so much!! Cheers to you!
Thank you so much! I’ve only had my car for a few months and my kids did this to the seatbelt in the back! I have a brand new car and I was thinking now I have to get a repair already! This has possibly saved me lots of money that I can now use for Christmas shopping! God bless you for sharing!
Had the same problem however this didn't work by itself. I searched for my car make and model "how to remove interior trim" and found _another_ video which showed me how to pull off the plastic bit covering where the belt was twisted. By pulling some back through I was able to get the tension of the back end of the belt which was stopping me from untwisting it, and then your method worked for me. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
that trim just snaps in place with every car I know of, but a lotta times you also have the rubber weather stripping in the way too. it's actually only a few minutes to remove and replace that stuff. even the plastic piece at the bottom only takes seconds to remove. less than a 5 minute job with the worst case scenario.
You just solved a problem I've been having for months. Thank you. Now I have to figure out how to get the seatbelt to retract again. It's been fully extended and won't retract. TH-cam has everything! Thank you
This is the best thing! My mind went to a dark, expensive place when the seatbelt got stuck. But using your trick - got it fixed in two minutes! Thank you!
Just watched the video and fortunately I had a filer in car pulled over and just fixed my seatbelt I a minute. Was stuck for months. Thank you for this video.
Sis! You are amazing! My daughter literally just got the seat belt stuck before we left church service tonight. Had to use my car key instead of the nail file, but worked just the same. Thank you for thinking of all of us by posting this!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! We had this exact problem and needed to get our car inspected. I watched several other videos that were no applicable and did not work. This worked perfectly. God bless you!
My seatbelt folded up like this in the buckle this past weekend, and my efforts to fix it made it worse. Thanks for showing us how you did it! Any other blunt, flat object would also probably work.
Girl you are my hero, for the seat belt stuck on my m4 Geesh I was panicking ! And thank good for you I was able to do it w a eyebrow blade on the handle side . Thank you so much 👍👍👍👍
That's so awesome. The other day, I used the piece of seatbelt that buckles. Lol. The list of items to use keeps growing. I'm glad this video was helpful.
Mines is on the bottom, so upside down from your's but same concept, mines is older too n not so slippery, but I have confidence after your video!!! Thank you for sharing and not keeping your trick to yourself ❤
Thanks for the help! Was having this issue with my car and after a minute of messing around thought “theres no way someone else hasnt had this exact problem and posted a vid on it”
Thank you very much, I was able to fix after watching your video. I used a similar kind of tool like the nail file, It was stuck for a long time. Recently one of my relative met with an incident, he is safe and good. But seat belt would have been better and it could save lives.
Brilliant! Thanks so much. Let me add, that my car is a three row Ford Explorer. The tangle was in the middle row. I was unable to get the proper angle from the middle row, so I tried from the back (folded down the seats in 2nd and 3rd row). It gave me a much easier and better angle, and I was able to release it in seconds.
This was fantastic!!! THANK YOU!!! I bet it would have cost me a ton of money to take to the dealership to deal with this issue. Solved in probably a minute.
Thanks for this helpful video, it was the passenger side ,I didn’t have a nail file handy ,so I used a metal teaspoon handle ,had to wiggle it for quite a few minutes like in the video ,then folded bit sort of moved across then I moved it back and wiggled it bit more and now it’s fixed.
@@NgN711 In the end, I successfully combined two techniques-one from your video and another one. By pulling the strap back and forth while making adjustments along the way, it worked out the best. It only took about 60 seconds in the end, and I was honestly surprised myself! 😊
