- Struggling with balance in your handstand? Are you trying to hold it longer but you constantly fall out of it?
In this video, we are covering 1 single exercise to improve coordination, balance, and shoulder strength to improve our ability to hold our handstand longer. This exercise is also great if you are working towards the straddle handstand press or the pike press. Work on 6-10r for 3-5x twice a week and enjoy the benefits!

Thank you for this video!! Uh do you perhaps have a tip on how to strengthen the lats? Background: of course I know different exercises for the lats like different rows or lat pull downs, but I still can’t do a single pull up without assistance of an elastic. I try to jump and hold a pull up and than slowly (excentric) going down. My teacher says I have to engage my lats, but that is difficult. I always feel it in my fore arms or biceps… or maybe I am too old to learn this? (46)

This is so helpful. Thank you. Good advice. There’s so much advice out there. Some of them are too scary. I’m already hovering off the wall for a few seconds before coming down. I can learn to come down with control, this will help me when I have to hold a free standing handstand

Already have enough balance, currently focusing on the press to handstand using negatives exercise, not enough strength of the shoulders making it so hard and long term goal but never give up, your videos are so helpull thanks a lot.

Idea: You could do a short on weighted calisthenics using small children. I regularly do sets of push ups with my 25lb 2yr old riding or pull ups with him hanging onto my knees and he loves it
