Background: of course I know different exercises for the lats like different rows or lat pull downs, but I still can’t do a single pull up without assistance of an elastic. I try to jump and hold a pull up and than slowly (excentric) going down. My teacher says I have to engage my lats, but that is difficult. I always feel it in my fore arms or biceps… or maybe I am too old to learn this? (46)

Already have enough balance, currently focusing on the press to handstand using negatives exercise, not enough strength of the shoulders making it so hard and long term goal but never give up, your videos are so helpull thanks a lot.

Idea: You could do a short on weighted calisthenics using small children. I regularly do sets of push ups with my 25lb 2yr old riding or pull ups with him hanging onto my knees and he loves it
guys if you want some tips, we'll here is it! step 1 : do some warm ups step 2 : get well prepared and do a frog position ( ⚠️NO WET HANDS⚠️ ) and balance yourself step 3 : do a beginner handstand ( straight hand and body but bend your legs ) step 4 : do a handstand ( ⚠️GET A SUPPORTER⚠️ like walls or someone you believe ) . step 5 : do it with yourself and try to balance your hand ( try not to fall) "how to get a stronger hand?" eat proteins and balanced food thank me later!!❤
From my experience the lack of balance. Is not just only due to position adaptation. It is also lack of elevation strength shoulder flexion for some people like me
