- On Sep 4, 2014, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved a new immunotherapy drug to treat advanced melanoma, signaling a paradigm shift in the way the deadly skin cancer is treated.

I begin keytruda next week. I'm the first and only patient with Fanconi Anemia, and I'll be used as a trial for others with my rare blood disorder. I also have diabetes.
I'm extremely undernourished at the moment due to trouble swallowing and feeling pretty weak. So I am a bit scared.
But it's the last and only medicinal line of attack left, as I am in latest stages.

Stage 4 cancer, now in remission. I get keytruda once every 3 weeks. Only takes a half hour through IV port.
Stay hopeful! I thought I was a gonner. I'm doing great.

DarkWingZEROX Hello! My father is doing absolutely amazing! Keytruda has truly been a blessing for us. He had tumors all over his lungs and body and in less than 3 months there was no tumors visible! He goes every 6 weeks for treatment instead of 3 because he’s reacting so well to it. He feels amazing and he’s able to do the things he loves again and can finally breathe. He is able to take keytruda for about 2 years and hopefully the cancer will stay away. Thank you for asking!:)

The doctor told us to go for Keytruda treatment after my Mother had good results with chemotherapy. But we are uncertain because of the side effects along with the cost.
But I'm really glad that it worked for your Father which gives us hope! :D
DarkWingZEROX we were also iffy about trying keytruda because the side effects as well. But my dad has been lucky not to get bad side effects. The only side effects he has really gotten is the day after his treatment he gets tired but keytruda has caused him to break into some rashes. But I would say go for it! If it works it’s truly a miracle drug because they weren’t expecting my dad to live another two months and now he is possibly looking at surviving! I wish your family luck and prayers for your mom!

I'm very glad this lady is/was doing much better, apparently due to Keytruda. Unfortunately, not everyone is so lucky. Side effects have killed some people.
Or taken away their organ function. No biggie!

I don’t believe that any person can/should put an end date on a person’ life. Maybe that’s a best guess, but miracles do still occur even today. 🙏
Don't listen to them. They told me something similar, and I'm doing great! Stage 4 in remission.
After 5 treatments of Keytruda for my bf stage 3 lung cancer he decided to stop treatment for now because the side effects were a bit too much 😔
