Thank you so much for such a clear explanation on how to remove the cover and disconnect the wires. This is by far the best explanation I’ve found and helped me fix my fridge by myself. Mine actually popped out - it was a lot of plastic connectors and had to be popped out a side at a time.
This video was really helpful. Our fridge dispenser tube wasn’t aligned well and I used this video to figure out how to remove the front panel and all I had to do was to realign the tube back in the dispenser hole and it’s working perfectly!! It took me about 10 minutes.
This helped a lot. I changed the water dispenser socket for the filter, the pump in the back and had tried defrosting multiple ways. I couldn’t figure out how to get to the line in the freezer door and once I watched this, ripped the whole line out, got rid of the chunk of ice in it, fished the line back down the door (had to cut on end with a point to make it through the hole, boom, water again. Thanks again! Learned alot with this whole adventure haha. Full fridge disassemble your fix a dang frozen dispenser hose in the end
Thank you for this video. It’s been the most helpful one I found so far. I turn the heat down as low as I could in the house so that the pipes wouldn’t freeze but also the heat wouldn’t be running constantly while I was on vacation. It took a day or two even after I had gotten back before the ice had built up in the line or a chunk of ice became dislodged and obstructed the waterline completely. I thought maybe my solenoid had gone bad but then I found this video. I said let’s start with a simple thing first. I pulled the line out and sure enough it was frozen up close to the nozzle. I took some string trimmer string and push the ice out and I had to feed the line back in backwards because of the sharp arc that was where it used to curve into the nozzle would not feed back through. So I just flipped it over and bang. Thank you
Thank you so much for this video. I fixed the water dispenser just following your directions. In my case, it was only the valve, it was out of place after the pressure generated when I changed the water filter.
@@TryThisDIYFix I literally just had this same exact problem and just fixed it after finding this video! I had found others using other models, but was happy to find yours to see how to get my particular panel out of the way. Thank you for this! Always happy to have a simple fix.

Thanks for the video. Was able to locate where the line egressed from the fridge part of my Frigidaire to prove it had to be a blocked/frozen line to dispenser. From there I just squirted very hot water up the nose of the dispenser and iced cubes flowed out and voila!
While moving my refrigerator the water line became dislodged causing the water to spill onto the floor. Thanks, I was able to repair it, although my outer cover panel was extremely tight. Thanks again.

Hi! Loved this video. Do you think you can do one explaining the three tubes on the back of the fridge? I can't blow air through one but am not sure if that's why mine isn't dispensing water
Video was good. How do we change the other water line from back of fridge where the water comes in from the water source, to the connecting point of front of fridge line?
Our refrigerator has small white pieces coming out of the water hole. Is it possible that this is part of the old plastic tube coming off? I have put a new water filter in and nothing changed
Hmmm. Can you tell what these pieces are? It could be from your water, filter or pipes. I would try and determine what these pieces are and go from there. Let me know what you find.
Nice video. Saw another which was just as good. So, my question is, how long does your dispenser take to fill a 12 oz glass to about an inch from the top? My KitchenAid (2001) takes about 45.47 seconds. Your water flow looks slow like mine but I am curios if its the same. I think it is too slow. I've done filter changes but it has always been slow. Drives me crazy. Try filling the pitcher with water after you've changed the filter. OMG... like listening to your hair grow! I don't know what to do about it!
One thing you could do is change the size of the water line. Mine isn’t too bad, it would probably take 30 seconds to fill up a cup. But you could try changing the line to a larger gauge and that might help speed up the process.
How do I remove the INTERNAL water dispenser (model: GRFG2353AF) to access the water line? Can I just pull the water line from the right top door hinge? Thank you!
I have tried this but my fridge (DSS25KSTE SS) the water line is a pvc spout. No real way to replace the line without replacing the fridge door which they don’t sell anymore. Any suggestions?
Is all the line pvc or just the end? You could get a connector and then use the line I have in the video. Connect the pvc to the line after it comes from the box.
The issue I've been having lately is I press a cup against the lever to run the pump and draw water, but after letting off the pump the water flow keeps dribbling out afterward to where the catch tray fills up after a few refills of the cup and then spills out onto the floor.
@@TryThisDIYFix no, the old one came out but the new one hits something near either end. i keep trying the slight pull back then push techniques but no avail 😕

I’m trying to trouble shoot my refrigerator water dispenser. It appears to be spraying water out the side of the door when dispensing water only. Not when dispensing ice or when the ice maker is refilling. Is the water line vulnerable to breaks inside the door? Or should I loom for something wrong from the water filter? I haven’t found a schematic drawing of the fridges interior works yet.
