Got this from my dad, i remember watching my grandmother use it for quilting for years, im sure shed be happy that se inspired me to be using her machine all these years later. She probably never thought shed see the day because all her kids were boys and their kids were boys too.
I have the exact same machine, I am going to sewing class to figure it out to see how it works! I am a hands on learner! I learn a lot faster when someone shows me what to do! You do have a great video on learning the do & don’t thanks!
Hey Lizzie thank you for your video on the Husqvarna viking number one plus. My mom had this machine which I inherited when she passed this past January. I'm learning to use it and found your video very helpful. Im having the same issue you had with the pumpkin not coming out properly. I am just cassette L trying to sew a teddy bear and it skipped a spot on it. Did you ever figure out what the issue was with the pumpkin?
Hi Linda!! No I haven’t figured out why it’s not sewing correctly. I really need to take it in and have it serviced as it now sews so tight that it ruffles the fabric. It’s probably a tension issue, but I will do another pumpkin to show exactly what it’s doing.
I have this very machine. Since 1999. Not one problem except cassettes are cracked. This machine has sewed for me, 3 children, 7 grandchildren. I’ve well got my monies worth from this machine and the cassettes are no longer being made,so I’m afraid I’m gonna need to replace it. I’m looking on eBay, etc for replacement cassettes, but not very hopeful, as everyone’s cassettes are also cracked.
This is a wonderful machine and sews great. And I love all the features! But because of the age of this machine, sorry to say, everyone’s cassettes are cracked, including mine. Yes, Christopher Nejman does have a TH-cam video on repairing cracked cassettes
My sister has been sewing for years. I seen a local Seller put this machine up for 700 dollars(barely Used)330th Anniversary edition. What do the machines run new??
To me, $700 is a steep price to pay. Usually eBay the prices are top dollar. If you check on Facebook marketplace, you can find these machines from $50 up to around $700 or more. I believe I saw one listed for $1000, it had all the accessories with it. The thing is, you can’t use the software unless you have a windows XP, windows 7 or 8 or below. So most of the high end prices are based off of software and accessories like the card reader which are useless, unless you have an older pc that has an older version of windows installed. You can buy the designs on the cards with the cassettes and they work perfectly fine…
Michael this type of machine is vintage. I’ve seen people listing these as high as $2000, which in my opinion is ridiculous! Even with all the extras, in my opinion isn’t worth no more than around $100 - $500 at most. And don’t get me started on the cassettes, they can be literally outrageous in price!!!
