Thank you so much for this video. I have owned my 1+ since I bought it new and I was so worried that I might not be able to continue using it with the cracks. Your method works so well!!!! I look forward to many more years of sewing with this machine! Thanks again!

I just repaired 2 cassettes with this process and it works beautifully. Thankfully the other cassettes are still fine for now. Thanks!

This is a wonderful solution. I too have tried everywhere to get a Cassette A with no luck. Thanks to you I've saved mine without further worry. It was so easy to do. I wish I'd done this when I bought the machine 30 years ago. Thank you for making this video.

Have had my Viking for probably 30 yrs. Love it! Tried every where to find a replacement for "A" cassette, no luck. Thanks, Chris, Wonderful idea!

Good tip. I've had my 1+ since I bought it brand new. I have all the cassettes you can get including all the embroidery cassettes. Best machine ever! I only have 1 with cracks and was slightly despondent because I've always prided myself on keeping this machine in 1+ condition, lol. Anyway Thanks...

Thank you for this tip. I was given my mother in law’s husqvarna Viking #1 many years after she passed away and I have been very worried about the cards. I have been looking for a way to keep the cards from breaking even more. I love the machine and can’t believe how well a 28 year old machine works.

I have a cracked A cassette and I have not been able to replace it. Thank you so very much for your suggestion for the repair. It is an old but great machine!

Thanks for the tip. I bought mine brand new to sew for my girls back in the 90’s and It sews wonderfully, but the cassettes have cracked. It is my backup machine when my new Viking with all the bells and whistles has to go to the shop.

Fantastic solution! Found that 11-1/2 x 6 cm of vinyl is a perfect fit. Also had an embroidery card that was stuck to the face of the cassette in the storage case. After using the vinyl to repair the cassette, I put the scrap paper backing between the card and the cassette to keep that from happening again. Thanks for the tip.

I have loved my 1+ for many many years. Bought it brand new with all cassettes and feet. It has been like an old friend to me since the early 1990's. I have always been able to go to the sewing room, turn it on and sew to my hearts desire. Unfortunately, the other day I went in to repair some jeans, turned it on and did not hear the sound I always hear on start up. The display lit up but there was nothing on the display. My heart is broken because I know that it would cost way more to try to get it repaired than it is even worth anymore. Best sewing machine I have ever owned and I made so many gifts and memorials with it. Now I am at a loss how to replace it. I don't even know where to begin to look for a machine that I will love like I have loved my Viking Husqvarna 1+.

Can anyone let me know if this machine is able to do personalized embroidery and if so can you share the information or link to a video. Im new with the machine and cant find the significance of the cartridge discs and their absolute purpose.

Many old cassette had a crack. I got my first from goodwill I just need a foot control. Also I have1 Pfaff 1475CD like this without use a card. It's impossible to found and expensive cassette and card with this Viking #1 300.
