I cannot thank you enough for uploading these videos. I just inherited this machine from my Grandmother - in- law. It was her mother-in-laws. Bless them both, they kept everything that came with it, but that's a lot of reading. I wanted to get this machine in use ASAP and these videos really helped. I look forward to reading the manual too.

Thank you so much. I am gifting this machine to a friend and I do not have a manual. She can watch this and be on her way.

Thank you for posting this! I bought this machine years ago used when it was like 5 years old and took a class how to use it and received the owners handbook and VHS tape and wondered how I could get it on dvd since I don’t have a vhs machine any longer. I bought it to start learning quilting and used for awhile but It’s been collecting dust and I’ve been thinking of starting it up again now that kids are grown and more time. So happy you posted this so I can rewatch and learn again. THANK YOU.

Wow! Been staring at Mums machine that I inherited, in abject fear! Not at all like the old “Elna.” To find this video is a gift! Well done, great instructions, you took my fear away, and i am off “a sewing!” Thankyou!

Wunderbaren Dank, dass Sie dies Video eingestellt haben. Es hat mir sehr geholfen mit meiner so lange nicht genutzten Maschine wieder neu zu starten!

I just purchased this sewing machine used on sale today at Jo-Ann Fabrics. I will definitely read the manual, but this video is soo informative. I can’t wait to start sewing.

JoAnn Fabrics sells used sewing machines? Isn't this sewing machine decades old?

Does anyone know in which year this machine came out?? I still have mine and still working beautifully and would not part with it but was not given the info when it was manufactured.

I was just given this machine that used to belong to my husband's late grandmother. I'm so grateful and excited to have a machine that has been in the family and has so many options that I can experiment with. Is there any way I could purchase the fabric packet so I could follow along with the steps in the owners manual?

Does anyone have a link to the actual manual? My preference is to have the physical manual, see what accessories I’m missing or might need and the quick answers. I’ve seen that the #1 plus manual around, is it the same exact one, just not with the embroidery capabilities? Or separate and a bit different?

I bought this machine years ago because it has sideways sewing capability. I used it a lot. Now we have moved and my snap in cassettes are lost. Any suggestion as to where I can get good replacements? I've seen them on e bay but they're in bad condition

Does anybody knows if I can get an Embroidery Unit for Modell #1100. I bought this used machine in a Goodwill and I'm in love with it even though I have 9 other ones including Embroidery and Serger. Thank you so much to someone to reply. 🤩 I live in Central Florida.

Does anyone know how to adjust the presser foot height? I inherited a machine with no presser foots, and the one I ordered didn't even touch the fabric. Any advice? thanks!

Thank you so much for posting this. I recently bought this sewing machine secondhand and it sews perfect but then when I removed the presser foot to attach a different one, for some reason the presser foot will not go back on. I had to abandon it because I have a number of old sewing machine. Can you help me please because I don't understand why I can't put the presser foot back on. Thank you in advance.c

I had an issue like that. If you mean the presser foot wouldn't snap back onto the plastic ankle? I fiddled with it for a while until I finally got it reattached. The little flat piece of metal wasn't letting the foot snap back in. I clean it thoroughly because lint had gotten in there.

@@reetareeta6556 Awesome! I have two #1+'s and a #1. These are fantastic machines. I've got an SE, Epic, and a Topaz 30. I really prefer the #1 and #1+ because I think they are nicer to sew on. Some models of Vikings are just too convoluted. I dont like the Epic for embroidery because its so confusing to navigate. The #1+ does beautiful designs, simply.

@@chevydude658 I love the vintage Bernina sewing machine personally. This is still alien to me. I have gone back to the Bernina. I have quite a few. I have husqvarna Viking 21e and 19 vintage sewing machines. Sewing machines are my obsession.

    How old is the 1100?

Viking machines are not best with heavier fabric.
