Pokémon sticks to a theme, a concept and some physical form that grows and changes to represent that which offers for some good transitions where as Digimon has more freedom with what they do since they have a core aspect and then build the Digimon based on that which offers for more unique transitions

While I don't think every new evolution needs to become a dual-type, I do like Zebralitz, the change in color is very smart-looking and it's not over-designed. I am surprised when you were explaining the name you only mentioned 'Zebra' and 'Blitz', but combining the two also adds the word 'Brawl' right there in the center, with brawls being rowdy fights, perfect for an aggressive Fighting-type.

I'm personally not a fan of all the future forms just being robot skins of older mons. I know that they were going for a sci-fi feel, which would be cool, but there were other troupes they could have pulled from, like aliens (imagine if older mons were made into UB-like abominations), speculative evolution (watch The Future is Wild to get what I'm talking about), or even dystopian environmental messages (we could have had something like Water/Ghost future Delibird based on the Ghost of Christmas Future as a subtle nod to global warming and melting polar ice caps.) Basically, I wished that there was more variety with the future forms. Robots are neat, but please give other things too.
@@Jw87563 So Pawmo is something I literally admitted myself and you don't like future forms because they're cyborgs and not because they're speculative forms or even worse, like Ultra Beasts because they already exist in this universe. The thing is, while it'd be quite interesting, they went for cyborgs because one, it'd be easier and second, because they're going for a theme. Most of the past forms are dinosaurs in some way or tribal while a lot of the future form is robotic looking. They're supposed to not look normal, that's the point.
I like the idea of Indubidee, but something that could work in concept would be the butler who’s actually the shadow head of whatever organization their employer is supposedly the head of. Using psychic-type mind control to reflect this.
It really baffles me that GAME FREAK gave the long-awaited Electric/Fighting combination... to a Pikaclone line that barely changes its appearance and a Robot Hariyama. Like, the latter I'm cool with, but a puny Pikaclone? Nah, mate. Zeraora is literally all about the punching, yet they just made it a plain Electric-type... that is so dumb. Hell, I would've rather it have a pre-evolution so it would be Alola's Lucario.

@@lazyladytired Fair enough...Not everyone is gonna like every design. But I personally don't find it that much of a letdown...At least Pawmi to Pawmot, that is. Pawmo is just entirely worthless and nothing would be lost by his loss. And it not looking much like a skilled fighter makes it a bit more interesting compared to the glut of skilled fighter designs that Fighting types usually have (I know exceptions exist like Great Tusk, but again, rare). And Pawmot does have a good concept behind it, even if it's really buried in there, being a combat medic that likes to defibrillate things.
My only critique is I feel like Indubidee should have had male/female attributes since the original Pokémon is evolved from did as well. Maybe the male version's 'lamb chomps' connecting over the mouth and looking more like a mustache for the male version, and the female version's purple diamond on their stomach being over their 'coat' to look more like an apron?

Honestly I am more inclined to give a Zebstrika evo the Electric/Fire typing since that typing only is used by Rotom Heat form but Electric/Fighting is a goated typing regardless and it always feels insane to me that the typing didn't exist before gen 9
I would love for Mightyena and Arbok to get evolutions, but I've given up hope that GF would give Pokémon like them any attention. I also noticed that the Indeedee evolution has the markings of the male and female near its eyes.
They randomly dip back into former gens for new regional forms and evolutions so I'm sure someday they'll get revisited just look at Weezing and Zigzagoon

Indubidee looks great but honestly I thought it looked more like a head butler who takes command of the Indeedees that turns out to be also a combat butler, & it also looks like it’s based on a badger which kind of fits with the miser archetype
I would be happy if Indeedee got that evolution, so I could give my Indeedee an eviolite, not so my Indeedee could lose it's normal typing, that would be competitively catastrophic.

The actual worst are Ice/Bug or Ice/Rock actually but that doesn't make that type combination any better, hell it'd be better off being a monotype. Just because something makes sense, that doesn't mean that they should intentionally make a Pokémon worse because of it.

Good Eviolite users have to be both decently bulky beforehand and have a decent supporting movepool, not all of which all Pokémon have. And also, bad typings don't automatically make a bad Pokémon, no doubt. But it certainly doesn't help in making a good one either. Tyranitar is good inspite of its type, not because of it. And of course, because of the ability Sand Stream increasing its SpD a lot which would've otherwise been mediocre. Even then though, Pokémon like Tyranitar is losing ground fast because of the simple fact that is power creep. Good Fighting type moves, less need of Sand, it not being a good Tera user compared to its cohorts among other reasons made it even less popular than it should ever be.
I’m especially a fan of Aquatun Its got alot of believable aquatic creature features that make it feel like a nice jump from Appletun as a convergent form

Quagsire has a pretty low one and yet it's still used a lot in competitive because of how the stats are lain and because of its abilities, especially Unaware. Wobuffet has a really high HP and low defenses, perfect to take advantage of Counter and Mirror Coat. That's why it doesn't need much to begin with.
I definitely thought your Indeedee evolution would go into the “the butler did it” murder mystery books ala Agatha Christie (also British so a good Galar fit)
Indubidee is a concept that you either didn't fully thing through, or put too much thought into (maybe both). The servant going into a master of the house doesn't work because for one thing Indeedee work as servants because they strive on positive emotions other people and act as servants to others as part of a kind of symbiotic relationship to soak up those good vibes that their work produces. From what you described this evolution and why you gave it the dark type does not mesh with what it evolves from. Though what I think is a bigger offender is how you only made a design for the male type, and based on how the eye marks have the colors of both genders, it implies that there's going to be no difference between the two and even the female ones are going to have that beard face. A better evolution of Indeedee would be that can evoke the feel of a head maid/butler of a large mansion I get the logic of Umbrowl's design, but he looks too sinister. Not all dark types have to look evil or threating, and those red eye pattern on it's chest is too much.
I do hope that they tell us where the new region and school are The first one looks like Johto but it would be weird that they turned the whole Balear islands into a School
I have to admit when the game first came out. I was going to purchase it period then things went sideways and I knew they were gonna be pushing DLC. I play Pogo so i now have poke that i want to play with
Of course they're gonna go with DLC nowadays. Third versions are immensely outdated nowadays and this is way more convenient. Why would they stop after doing it for one generation?
@@-Down-D-Stairs- But you'd've to abandon your old team and play through the same game all over again for minor changes. There's a reason a lot of folks intentionally waited a year or so, specifically to play the third versions, even though they're usually the ones lower in terms of sales. The Pokémon Company realized this and made DLCs because of it. It helps their bottom line, keeps the main games relevant and is nice for the consumer too, to some extent.
Excellent ideas dude. I would love for Golduck to finally have one, he's my all time favorite Pokemon, yet neither Golduck nor Psyduck ever got anything, Evolution, Regional Form, Mega Evolution, you name it, I REALLY want just SOMETHING for it to happen

The evolution I think you created is amazing because it's a physical type attacker when you think about how strong a zebras legs are. They can break a lions jaw. Wild charge as it's strongest physical move sucks though.
Your noctosl would need to be a branched evo. The Noctowl line learns a lot of psychic attacks so psychic makes more sense to gain. I feel if it gained anythinf different it would need a branched evo as a counterpart
Yeah, these would be nice little upgrades. But I guess these (at least the last two) could almost be Megas in a sense. I like the idea of more modulable designs in one way or another, or forms the Pokemon can take.
Love some of these designs, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to be going back all the way to gen 1 and start adding in new evolutionary stages to all the single stage evolution lines, I’m more in favor of having certain Pokémon evolve into new regional forms
Indubdee - Nah... change it's type is a little underwhelming, the male has hair up and famale down, wny not make this has the 2 ways almost like 4 horns hair? Zebralitz - Cool, but is bigger zebstrika anyway, almost look like a Mega Umbrowl - Sick design, I like it a lot!
I would call it zeblitz. I would do cloctowl ( clock + owl ) a flying and psychic type, we know it has psychic powers. We know that blitzle and zebtrika are returning in the indigo disk.
I wish Zebralitz didn't look just like Glastrier with black and brown added. It seemed like there was too uncanny a resemblance there. Cool concept though.
I wish they still made new megas, z moves and gigantimax forms, even if they were something only available in game and none of the previous forms were available

Ariados should get an evolution because it has such low stats. I can also see some really good potential for it.
I'd think other bugs like Ledian or Kricketune would need it more, especially Ledian. But Ariados isn't a bad idea, at least.

Jynx new evolution
Indubidee is a concept that you either didn't fully thing through, or put too much thought into (maybe both). The servant going into a master of the house doesn't work because for one thing Indeedee work as servants because they strive on positive emotions other people and act as servants to others as part of a kind of symbiotic relationship to soak up those good vibes that their work produces. From what you described this evolution and why you gave it the dark type does not mesh with what it evolves from. Though what I think is a bigger offender is how you only made a design for the male type, and based on how the eye marks have the colors of both genders, it implies that there's going to be no difference between the two and even the female ones are going to have that beard face. A better evolution of Indeedee would be that can evoke the feel of a head maid/butler of a large mansion
I get the logic of Umbrowl's design, but he looks too sinister. Not all dark types have to look evil or threating, and those red eye pattern on it's chest is too much.

I have to admit when the game first came out. I was going to purchase it period then things went sideways and I knew they were gonna be pushing DLC.

Of course they're gonna go with DLC nowadays. Third versions are immensely outdated nowadays and this is way more convenient. Why would they stop after doing it for one generation?
I kinda prefer a 3rd version bc with dlc the content is still split between 2 as opposed to 1 definitive edition
@@-Down-D-Stairs- But you'd've to abandon your old team and play through the same game all over again for minor changes. There's a reason a lot of folks intentionally waited a year or so, specifically to play the third versions, even though they're usually the ones lower in terms of sales. The Pokémon Company realized this and made DLCs because of it. It helps their bottom line, keeps the main games relevant and is nice for the consumer too, to some extent.
Excellent ideas dude. I would love for Golduck to finally have one, he's my all time favorite Pokemon, yet neither Golduck nor Psyduck ever got anything, Evolution, Regional Form, Mega Evolution, you name it, I REALLY want just SOMETHING for it to happen

Perhaps Indubidee could have two forms, a male form and a female form. The female form could be based on Miss Havisham form Great Expectations, another novel written by Charles Dickens.
Zebralitz add a “w” to make it zebrawlitz making the name more fitting f the fighting type addition.
i feel like fire types need a bit more representation in the games so would have given an evolution to rapidash
Love Indubidee's name and inspirations, hate the appearance though. There has to be a better way to execute this design. Umbrowl looks really cool.

The evolution I think you created is amazing because it's a physical type attacker when you think about how strong a zebras legs are. They can break a lions jaw. Wild charge as it's strongest physical move sucks though.

Your noctosl would need to be a branched evo. The Noctowl line learns a lot of psychic attacks so psychic makes more sense to gain. I feel if it gained anythinf different it would need a branched evo as a counterpart
Zebralitz seemed too on the nose for me for a name but I do like it. I was trying to think of an alternative and what I came up with was Zibrawlee
Yeah, these would be nice little upgrades. But I guess these (at least the last two) could almost be Megas in a sense. I like the idea of more modulable designs in one way or another, or forms the Pokemon can take.
Umbrowl makes sense because in the anime Hoothoot was used to deal with the ghost pokemon

Love some of these designs, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to be going back all the way to gen 1 and start adding in new evolutionary stages to all the single stage evolution lines, I’m more in favor of having certain Pokémon evolve into new regional forms

Indubdee - Nah... change it's type is a little underwhelming, the male has hair up and famale down, wny not make this has the 2 ways almost like 4 horns hair?

I'm not going to lie I always thought when I first saw indedee I thought it was a different type of espurr evolution but I was wrong
I would call it zeblitz. I would do cloctowl ( clock + owl ) a flying and psychic type, we know it has psychic powers. We know that blitzle and zebtrika are returning in the indigo disk.
