Unlike the Babylonian Talmudic Jews who have penetrated Zionism, some of whom call the Virgin a whore who had Christ illegitimately by a Roman legionary, Pantera, and who openly spit at people professing to be Christians in the streets. Not to mention supporting the genocide of Palestinians.

And to Mr Shokat Adam's credit, he answered many of them quite openly. I'm sorry you are getting some nasty treatment for trying to do your job.
Looks like a lot sour grapes in the comments because Amani wasn’t given a 100% positive view in probably the most divisive constituencies during the election. It’s not a journalists job to make one side good despite PoliticsJoe having a pro gaza bias. Good work Ed and ignore the partisan haters in the comments. 👍

I think there are a few issues intersecting here. I think in the first instance we need to recognise that Adam has not only claimed no knowledge but fairly robustly criticised those who did it. He seemed genuinely uncomfortable to me that someone might have done this deliberately in his name, in the absence of further evidence that's a fair response for me. I think in the second instance, there's an issue of how we treat independent campaigns in terms of the standards we hold them to compared to established political parties. I'm not sure how an MP from a more established party might have had similar allegations put to them, but I feel like there would be less tendency to apportion individual responsibility compared to how it was being put to Adam here. Lastly, I think the point needs making that if we want a political system where decorum is considered a value worth preserving, we need to not be complicit in war crimes as a nation. And more generally, if we want the peaceful political détente that has characterised post-war British politics (something that is, in general, quite uncommon in history and across the world), then people's material needs must be better addressed by the system than they are currently. We can't expect people to stay civil in a system that (they feel, rightly or wrongly) is slowly killing them, any first order reading of history shows that to be naïve in the extreme. I don't think anything about the video was unreasonable or unfair to anyone involved, and the editorialising to make clear the wider context that this is happening in is something that enhances the quality.
Genuine question: why do journalists and politicians act like Gaza is the sole target of Israel? Is it because Hamas only exists in Gaza, so it's easier to mischaracterise Israel's intentions as being simply anti-hamas rather than full on genocidal? They've been bombing the West Bank and Lebanon as well as being at the root of the genocides in Sudan and Congo.
So how is this 'One issue' MP doing for dealing with the issues that are being sent to him by his Leicester people??? It will not be about Gaza but local personal issues.
What a waste of 12 minutes. Poor reporting by the channel, there really was nothing of any substance. Politics is ugly, we saw Starmer and Ashworth throw the Bangladeshi community under the bus to appeal to the fringes. This all looks and sounds like sour grapes by the failed candidates.
Absolute boot-licking from Joe, thought this was a decent channel. This kind of shite journalism has taken me by surprise on this channel. There is a very high bar when you are tacitly accusing an MP of organizing 'serious intimidation' and you've just provided nearly no evidence. Shame on you for dirty smears. Unsubscribed!
Why did he feel the need to stand, knowing there was someone, who could defeat Ashworth, running on a very similar platform. It seems counter productive. What were his platform differences?
Finding it difficult to believe Shockat Adam as an honest broker in this video. He seems as slippery as Ashworth. Osman Admani on the other hand seems sincere. Maybe it's just personalities. Anyhow why blur people in the street with megaphones. One assumes they have no expectation of privacy.
There may be questions around independents standing against Labour on a single issue in what was previously a safe seat. Clearly passionate supporters on an emotional issue. Ashworth had displayed. scant concern for the wishes of the electorate . Comes across as a whiner who had no issue with candidates elsewhere denied permission to stand despite massive support and previous excellent record but thought himself entitled to win. But the research in the video was thin. Lots of unsubstantiated claims. I’m afraid it smacked more of muck raking than good investigative reporting. Needed way more material to have made this allegation viable. A question worth addressing but poor execution. Disappointed with Politics Joe here.
The most charitable reading of your use of 'Gaza independent MP' is that it is a spectacular error of judgment from a usually decent media outlet that unfortunately sounds racist, because well., it sounds extraordinarily racist. I would retract and apologise because hits to your credibility like this stick around for YEARS
To say that “there were a group of people prepared to use any means necessary to help him win” is a bit of a leap. It seems to me that Mr Adam addressed it reasonably. There’s no evidence of violence or intimidation in either case.

@@googlesucks6029ashworth, is that you? Let's clean this up. He's entirely competent because he only had one job. The only competency he needed was to stand, win and teach labour a lesson for straddling the Washington consensus against the wants of the constituency. That's it, isn't it? Did anyone vote for him ever think he could accomplish anything other than that one task? So, when you think about it, he's been 100% successful in delivering what the constituency voted him in for. Asked a question based on some assumptions, got the input of all those involved and published their words on the matter. I'm sure there was a hustings event for prospective MPs for this particular ward, Mr Admani went, but wasn't invited to the front, who does he blame for that.
You're a very observant person, its true I was stopped from participating. Why? Its obvious, there must be a connection between You Elect (those who hosted the Hustings) and S Adam and or his agenda. If You Elect allowed me to participate, my intentions of putting Leicester issues first whilst giving voice against the Genocide, whilst being a Muslim candidate and having much experience in local matters through my legal work. All of that spelled danger for SA. My Leicester plan endangered their plans. Unofficially, I was informed that You Elect organisers are related to Shckat Adam. (I have no evidence on this) Secondly, more importantly, You Elect had an agenda that involved promoting Shckat Adam. And SA true to form rode the bias You Elect's support.

Unsubscribed!
really poor, thought better of you guys
Ashworth yuk snake oil wants a tv show
I dont' know this Shockat Adam character.
He sounds so incredibly sleazy, though. I wouldn't buy a used car from him.
@@parametr a pair of glasses? (He’s a optician)
Why did he feel the need to stand, knowing there was someone, who could defeat Ashworth, running on a very similar platform. It seems counter productive. What were his platform differences?
because we live in a democracy and he is entitled to stand if he wants to
@@robertlowe2622 true but why was he standing. I think its a reasonable question.

Bye then
The most charitable reading of your use of 'Gaza independent MP' is that it is a spectacular error of judgment from a usually decent media outlet that unfortunately sounds racist, because well., it sounds extraordinarily racist. I would retract and apologise because hits to your credibility like this stick around for YEARS
Ashworth deserved to lose - he insulted his electorate
To say that “there were a group of people prepared to use any means necessary to help him win” is a bit of a leap. It seems to me that Mr Adam addressed it reasonably. There’s no evidence of violence or intimidation in either case.
Politics Joe.. I thought your channel was a decent alternative to MSM..... I was wrong
music is a nice upgrade, levels are wrong though. Ducking is good but the volume when not ducked is too high and it's distracting.
Very poor Journalism, they should interview the other party candidates too, wonder what the greens, tory and reform candidates have to say about Shockat. Admani and Ashworth are two peas in pod.
Ashworth wasn't intimidated, people just asked him legit questions and he didn't know how to answer them
A bit ridiculous voting in a candidate based their stance on a war in another continent.
They're running on other issues as well. Aren't you concerned about other human beings?
@@AAHet1-n3v Yeah I'm concerned about what's happening in Gaza, but not concerned though to ruin my quality of life to vote for an incompetent candidate because they're Pro-Gaza.
You must be very thick to not understand that foreign policy affects us here as well.
Once you understand that, you can consider the next step, Jonathan. You work to rebuild trust and you can have another crack at it in 5 years.
It's not ridiculous at all. We send arms to that war, it shapes our international relations on the global stage and you could even argue it contributes to the trend of larger numbers of refugees and asylum seekers so if you had a problem with our numbers of asylum seekers like apparently many do then you could even say that would be another political reason to oppose the genocide.
Asked a question based on some assumptions, got the input of all those involved and published their words on the matter. I'm sorry anyone arguing this is a "hatchet job" or whatever else is talking out their behinds because this is straight up who what when stuff which is the basis of journalism that is what is missing from mainstream means. Totally unbiased take from it all was the leicester elections seem to be a bit heated and maybe we should all keep and eye on that kind of thing and cool it off a bit. Nout wrong with that in my opinion, but hey if you want to think Ed is now a lizard person you do you. Peace.
Hmm, I bet that ghee wouldn’t melt in Mr Adam’s mouth.
Why is braveheart talking about England??
Isn't this the same Independent MP the one who has someone close to his campaign arrested for terrorism charges after the election? It seems he had people around him who view the rule of law quite differently but it will be hard to prove what is or isn't known by this MP.
Well done for legitimate journalism on this though.
No he didn’t. That’s a disgusting smear with a clear racist undertone.
They live in a world of their own in Highfields and Evington. I’m not confident the police or the city council know half of what happens in those communities. The city lives by a lie that we’re the most integrated in the country but the fact is we live in ghettos

Bullying and intimidation has no place in politics 🚨✋️
Based on the weak accusations of people with sour grapes? Get real...
@donttrip8282 I've seen the evidence, bullying and intimidation has no place in a civilised society. The same thing happened in Birmingham too. Do you want to see the video?
@@russellmorris7526 ok, post a link
(I have no evidence on this)
Secondly, more importantly, You Elect had an agenda that involved promoting Shckat Adam. And SA true to form rode the bias You Elect's support.
Glad you’re exposing and reporting on this tyranny.

Let down for posting this Jo this is just distracting from that actual more severe issue of actual people dying in their thousands and being starved in Gaza do you really thing this exceeds that?
