For some reason I always imagine this song as being sung by a chorus of Egyptians who mourn the deaths of their firstborn (if it was from a non-existent opera about the Book of Exodus). It sounds a little like Puccini could have composed it imo
Oh man, I have mixed feelings about this song. It brings up PTSD about the trauma of watching Utena and how much the characters suffered individually and collectively.
It kind of brings up alot for me too, there was some crazy stuff going on in my life at the time, and certain situations that were really echoed in the show. It's an incredible series, but holy crap it makes me feel sick sometimes.
