So Konami gives us cards like Nibiru to counter the zany combo decks, and then starts printing engines that can completely ignore Nibiru, so now Nibiru is only useful against rogue strategies that were already having a hard time to begin with. Cool, very nice.
Another "weakness": remove their ns from the field and pray they don't have starter, hence why the solemns were popular tech and people really should prioritize removal than negation
I can't wait for Konami to ban like 7 cards to hit the archetype instead of just banning Gigantic Splight and printing a different boss monster for the deck to cope with.

NOT negating the effect.
Remember, chat. MBT only had Yamatako for ten minutes. But if anything happened to Yamatako, pretty sure he would banish all his subscriber and then himself, just like Dark Law did.
there's that samurai level 2 tuner looking guy with a straw hat that treats itself as a level 1 tuner, but it is originally level 2: nice side tech option that lets you draw a card if you use him as synchro material: and not once per turn kekw.
BTW there is an advantage to play instant fusion/ready fusion instead of etele. You can side out your gamma but also you get the double atk from gigantic slight which matters, you can then double the atk again because the original atk of gigantic slight is 3200.
Spright Elf doesn't actually lock you into twos for some reason, meaning it can be a generic extender for other decks. Not sure why it doesn't lock but that's just how they made it
One card that I feel is underrated and is extremely powerful in this deck is solemn scolding. To those who are unaware of what solemn scolding does basically it is an omni negate that can also stop summons (normal and special summons both) at the cost of 3k life and being the only set card in your backrow. The life point cost is steep, but it's a counter trap that can quite literally negate anything and it helps to fix splight's problem of hard losing to cards like dark ruler.
I feel like playing solemn judgment would just be a better option no? always live as long as you're alive while allowing you to have more then just 1 set card at end phase
Solemn scolding is better for decks that aren't going to be setting any backrow aside from like imperm. Also solemn scolding is a better card to main deck because it's good going second.
@@dicosirio6337 You send one extra deck monster to your graveyard to shuffle a monster of the same type into the deck. It's like Dark Ruler where your opponent can't activate monster effects in response. So the play is you use Trouble Sunny to spin a Link monster, then use Trouble Sunny's grave effect to mill the level 8 Evil Twins monster from your deck to non target send a card to the graveyard (like Dingirsu)
You can run a spright engine in ignister to get to your strter since ignister achichi is a level 2, and then lock yourself out completely for the rest of your turn
You mentioned their stats but aside from Gigantic's 3200 ATK (which you barely ever used in these replays) the two negating ones have pretty high defence stats, making them pretty hard to remove by battle before you commit to your combos. These monsters are much stronger than all the Level-2s before them.

The day Cat Shark becomes part of a TIER 0 deck is the day that Yugioh will have a FUCKING TIER 0 DECK THAT USES CAT SHARK OF ALL THINGS?!
It's hard to think it's been since... PEPE that we got a Tier 0 deck again. That's insane.
If you think there haven't been tier 0 decks since pepe and that splight is one of them then you probably got the wrong definition of tier 0
@@andrejv.2834 There haven't really been any tier 0 formats since pepe though, even though I agree that splight obviously isn't tier 0
@@AirRunnersViper zoo? spyral? Even orcust had tier 0 representation for like 2 tournaments at the end of the eternal format
Zoo is still the only deck ever to have 100% representation at a ycs top cut
Lol, was completely expecting what I'm assuming to be your dad to be like "I told her this was a mistake."
My guess is the othee thing that might prevent the pie chart circle is that people weren't as aware how busted Tearlaments were on release(I assume). Then again they only really picked up as serious Splight competitors once the mill cards came out and Frog got banned. Either way this format will be something.
This is what i wanted springans to be, i.e. Actually usable. Maybe too usable. I like being the underdog.
Yes Joseph!! Join the Digimon TCG!! At least until the inevitable Spright hits on the banlist…
@MBT yu-gi-oh welcome to the digimon card game club. where everything isn't tier 0
I'm glad there are other people out there who like ninjas. I hope we get this new support soon in Duel Links.
2:23 If TCG players are better at coping, then why can't TCG players cope with Maxx C in Master Duel? Master Duel already launched 11 months ago, and they even commented on the Steam Awards that Master Duel should delete Maxx C if they will consider it a 2022 game of the year. 😮😮😮
Very great analysis, very great 😮
Please apply cold water to burn area 😂
"good luck everybody! i'm going to go play digimon." That, hits so hard
How is nobody talking about Joseph’s S tier breakfast drip in this video?!?! 🥵🥵🥵
The fact that this deck can utilize Frog engine properly makes this deck really promising, i might try it just because i love Frog.
Deck is straight up guaranteed tier 1 contender at release and it's far simpler than Tears, just prepare for the pricing maybe.
"Good luck everyone, I'm going to go play Digimon" :) We'd love to have you. Amazing video too.
I love how you played off the fact that the drink in the intro skit was almost certainly a ginger ale and in fact, not a Sprite. Lol
Again, always love rewatching these vids, cuz 0:40
Man spright is extremely easy and powerful. 10x easier than tearalament.
They made a true king of all calamaties at THREE COPIES in giant spright. Not only that but there are SO MANY ONE CARD COMBOS TO GET IT OUT. People thought Branded Despia was crazy, here comed TRUE KING PART 2
As each day passes my frogs become more and more relevant.
That "Sprite" in the opener is definitely a ginger ale.
Just a heads up for the digimon tcg, it's a really cool and cheap tcg but unfortunately while the meta will be diverse next set there is just one very uninteractive deck (grandiskuwagamon) that kinda sucks to play against.
But besides that it's worth giving a shot if you're interested
They need to hurry up with an online.
"We have come for your meta."
You can't fool me. That's not Sprite, it's Mountain Dew!
i like how the man in the intro had to cover the bottle logo with the hand bc prob they didnt have any sprite at home lmao
Me at the start of the year: Boy, Master Duel sure is fun, and I love playing with my friends. Maybe it's time I got back into Yu-Gi-Oh. I love those Branded cards, maybe I could build a shitty version of that in paper!
Me looking at this upcoming meta: never mind
Master Duel could be so much more fun if they added additional formats. Their version of events aren’t fun for most part and are just something you rush for gems and if you don’t wanna do standard ladder there isn’t much else. Shame because they have a well made base to build upon but at this pace it’ll end up being wasted.
@@omegaeraser There are Duel Rooms if you don't want to play on the ladder
@@1001011011010 not really a solution. Hassle joining random communities with hopes of having more interesting games. I'd rather have it implemented and designed by konami themselves.
@@omegaeraser Well, they just released that they're coming out with a new mode that isn't ranked. So maybe something is coming
Can someone enlighten me as to what the side deck card that requires a Trouble Sunny in the extra is?
_Artemate Slay_ from POTE (Power of the Elements)! You send Trouble Sunny to the GY to negate a Link Monster effect since it's the same type (and Sunny has a GY effect which requires an Evil Twin monster on the field or in the Deck)
EDIT: it shuffles the targeted monster into the Deck. NOT negating the effect.
its just mbt trying to trick sprite players to waste an extra deck slot
@@number-qx1kw This really looks like it doesn't need most of the ED slots that aren't Toad, Cat Shark and the Sprights.
@@YuseiTheSynchroHero Artemate Slay doesn't negate. It bounces the monster back to the extra and you can't respond to it with monster effects.
Remember when this was first revealed and they received the initial Drytron treatment. Now you can look again.
I truly believe that Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries will be a good tech card for dealing with toad both in the Spright mirror and decks like Plunder
Orochi is nice, I'm also partial to 1 pixies as well as dupe for protecting elf since you can use if from field as well.
11:00 Joseph you are a very fruity man but this was an entire orchard of apples. A whole vineyard. The fruitiest yugituber of all time.
Who in their lives said “And the Band Played On is the best floodgate in the game right now?”
Tuningware is level 1, and it has a frying pan or some shit on its head. Sorry to be that guy, but this post is very sussy.
I would say only the extra deck is sussy. But I'll make an even sussier one. I'm kinda hyped to play them.
Not gonna lie, I thought the archetype name was a combination of “sprite” and “blight” this whole time…
I’m on to you Joseph! That was clearly a Ginger Ale at the beginning! Coke doesn’t use that bottle shape! You ain’t fooling no one! 🤣
The Digimon TCG is really good, and looking even better now that YGO will turn into only Splight mirror matches
Its just sad that the game is basicly playing by yourself. This reminds me of a card game on every pc hmmmmm. Oh yes solitair.
And the Band Played On would be hilarious if it actually catches on as a counter for spright, but i doubt it
In case anyone is curious, Trouble Sunny is for Artemis Slay to send it.
I was searching for someone that coulissi explain this… So non the ne t question is: What is Artemis Slay?
