Congratulations to Novak Djokovic for winning his first career title this year in Adelaide! Truly great stuff, however I gotta say I don’t see that guy winning anymore trophies…
I belive Yunchaokete Bu might be able to grab a title, he got a extremly highest level. He had an really impressive run in china this season. Really like the chinese players.
Props to these guys. Especially guys like Struff, Giron, and Thompson who have been trying for so long. We get so spoiled by the elite that we forget to even lift a 250 trophy takes aan insane amount of discipline, athleticism, and skill.
What you're definitely (not) missing is: Petros Tsitsipas bounced the ball 34 times before serving his 1st ace of the match to outlast Novak Djokovic 6:7(9) 7:6(6) 7:6(12) in 5h12min blockbuster to win his maiden singles title in Adelaide, saving 11 match points along the way.
Struff and Thompson were the only ones I that I really thought should've had a title before this year in regards to their career paths. I expected Lehecka and Draper to win one this year, and am not surprised Shang did as well. Tabilo, Darderi, and Diaz Acosta were individually surprising but there are always a few younger guys that unexpectedly scrap their way to a 250 title. Giron and Borges have both been on the fringe long enough where they finally had a complete week at a 250. If you took away Gio's title this year I'd easily pick him as a first time winner next year, but I had no idea who he was at the time. Bonzi is a weird one. He was a bit Karatsev-y in that he had a couple month run 2-3 years ago where he was knocking off some impressive names, but never had the performance deeper in tournaments to earn the title. 2025 Predictions: Probably should by now: Machac, Botic VDZ Young and ready: Cobolli, Mensik, Michelsen Been around enough: Munar, Hanfmann, Safiullin Someone's gotta win: Navone, Davidovich Fokina Wouldn't be that surprised: Marozsan, Zhang, Tien, Rinderknech, Coria, Vukic, Ruusuvuori
Great post 👍 solid lists.... I agree and it would be nice if ADF and Botic could win a title. There's so many good players still without one but most are still very young aswell so they have plenty of time.
@@fishsticks5056 I could see him gaining crowd momentum in a French 250. Metz would be my bet because it's right after the Paris Masters and before the ATP Finals, so most of the top players take the week off, and it has a 65% history of being won by French players.
And Djokovic still can't get his 1st ATP title ... am through with this guy, there's a reason why GOAT Walton has 24GS titles 😂😂.. P.S: Tsitsipas better continue with that 2 hander and razor sharp haircut
djokovic vs tsitsipas?
wondering the same thing too
It was the 2023 final. Yes obviously djokovic won his first title in 2023.
@@nathanielbarish3763 No wasn't that Sebastian Korda he faced in the 2023 Adelaide Finals?
Funnily enough, Djokovic has never played Tsitsipas in Adelaide.
Editor unforced error 😑

Rinderknech is an underrated guess, that guy has a big serve and a big forehand, surely he can capture one 250 somewhere next year
