Rudeus not knowing that Fitts is Sylphie is such an excellent writing choice. Rifujin, the author, is atypical simply because he executes tropes more masterfully than most. Rudy really doesn't need to chase women right now, what he needs is actual friends who will be by his side, whenever he needs them most. The romance being developed with Sylphie also wouldn't be artificial-he's not trying to use her to cure his ED and he's not trying to desperately chase her like he did a few women in his life. He's just being real with a person he thinks he would never develop romantic feelings to because of that person's gender. He's just trying to be a good friend, no ulterior motives. This makes any relationship he develops with her authentic, as opposed to him just seeing her as a woman. When they were children, it was how he was able to actually interact with her without much bias, he just thought he was some dude in need of help. And now it's repeating, but in a situation where he needs it most. It's beautiful.
It is also why he didn't try that hard to make up with Sara. He remembered the fight he has with Paul and thought if Rudy has time to have relationships and losing them then he is spending too much time plahing around and not working to find his mother. It was also why he went to school instead of going right to her when he found out where she was. It was winter and he figured Roxy is there with Paul and they should be able to handle it. Even though with all his power nothing can stop him from going there the fastest way possible and just getting rid of storms along the way. He wants to do something useful so his father doesn't get mad at hik again.

The Greyrats make up some of the highest ranking nobility of Asura, with their 4 different clans. They are named after greek gods of wind, for more details on that just google Anemoi (the name of Asuran royalty). Boreas and Notos are the main ones we know about (fitting as they are the more known winds being north and south respectively, but technically Euros and Zephyrus Greyrats exist too). Luke is from the Notos side so he is a closer cousin to Rudy than Eris for example. We met his father in Episode 0 and heard about said man at the end of S1 too. Interesting fact is that Paul dropped the Notos name but kept the Greyrat when leaving his family, this makes Rudy a unique player on the political field as he an unkown variable. He isn't affiliated with any of the clans by name but still a Greyrat, add his magical prowress into the mix and suddenly he could be a key asset.
So one interesting tidbit they skipped in the anime about Elinalise's curse is that, yes she will die if she doesn't have sex regularly. BUT at one point while they are traveling before they reach the school, Rudy asks if she hates her curse or not and Elinalise basically says "No I'd be having sex with just as many men if I didn't have the curse" so don't feel too bad for her, she is still living her dream life lol
It might sounds like a blessing. But considering elf’s lifespan. It really is a curse at the worst level, since she’s unable to do anything about her habits even if she wanted to. It’s also revealed later in story regarding the misery she had to go through since she can live for really long
I maybe wrong in remembering but wasn't that fact she even enjoys her life that way is because she doesn't have any memory of her childhood. She just woke up with the curse and knew nothing else so she just enjoys life because making memories are not as important to her because they coild easily be taken away again. So she lives in the moment.
The one Zanoba referred to as "Miss Silent" is a different person to Silent Fitz, whom only a few know she's Sylphie, and even they refer to Fitz as "he". Silent, is one that Rudeus hasn't seen in school yet. Back to Fitz, the wand he uses, is a beginner's wand, not particularly distinct, even though we know the story behind the particular wand. If anything, a mage of Fitz's skill and station, would likely use something better, and using a basic wand looks out of place.

So to clarify a few things. Luke is not Eris's brother he is Pilemons son. Pilemon was Ariel's Connection/Patron/Friend in episode 0. At the end of episode 0 Luke and Pilemon both swore loyalty to Ariel. Luke and Fitz came with Ariel to protect her while she makes connections to take another shot at the throne. The academy is located in Ranoa which has no connection to the Asura Kingdom. Ranoa is it's own kingdom and part of an alliance with two other nations collectively known as the Magic Triumvirate. Fittoa was a region in the northern part of the Asura Kingdom where Rudy was born. Ranoa is like North-Central Canada and Asura is like Western U.S. geographically. The sword Sanctum where Eris is btw is at the very north-western edge of the map. Like Alaska, but only the size of a single city. I believe it's less than a week's journey from the academy.
Something that is a bit confusing about the potical stuff is that the show doesn't really explain things well. Ariel only wanted the throne after her mage died and his dying words were that she is the only one that can move things for the better. The kingdom has been in the same state since the Lapis war. And all the nobles just enjoy their fetishes and don't really fight for the throne. That is how Ariel felt as well. She thinks that no matter hee position she will always just be a lazy princess enjoying her life. And her brother planned to kill her because to many people liked her even those he was next in the to the throne. He was jealous and that was used against him because others would spread lies and rumors about her trying to take the throne.
You asked about Rudy in comparison to Cliff so I'll write down what I remember. These are his official rankings, but Rudy is difficult to judge because he actively modifies spells through silent incantation so his Rock Cannon (a typically advanced or intermediate spell) could be king or emperor class. Water Magic - Saint All other elemental magic - Advanced (since Roxy couldn't teach him more than that, I'd argue he is Saint in Earth too since it's his favourite element) Healing - Advanced or Intermediate (but requires incantation unlike Sylphie) Detox - None Barrier - None Divine - None (Also he knows Disturb Magic) In terms of official achievements Cliff ranks surprisingly close since he is advanced in all elements, and at least beginner in the three that Rudy doesn't know. Of course his silent spell casting alone makes a massive difference let alone Rudy's actual combat experience.

The more mana he uses for it the better it is, so anything he has the mana capacity for which well, he's never hit his limit in the show.

They are good friends and she cares a lot for him even though she absolutely hates his father. If it wasn't for the matching necklaces she would have never giving him a chance. Rudy is definitely a good person in her eyes. Even when she couldn't have a man for his seed she could still find comfort in Rudy late at night just sleeping next to him.

One thing to keep in mind is that in Japanese they don't have third person pronouns, so anything you see in the subs about he or she, is put in there by the translators as well as the mistakes like at the end there. All he does during this is call Fitz as Fitz, and that is because he sees her as Fitz.
While the japanese language doesn't have many pronouns, it still has ways to indicate someone's gender. Like saying "The man called Fitz" or something. That combined with Fitz's male student clothes, short hair, and use of "Boku" (masculine pronoun), led Rudeus to think without a doubt that Fitz is a guy.
I think they watched this on crunchroll. Because when I watched it somewhere else it didn't have that many mistakes in the sub. Crunchroll is terrible in translations. Also Japan has a lot of ways they speak with each other. They have a more respectful way in that they add things to the end of titles and names. Kun, San, Chan, stuff like that. Even here if you just listen to them speak Rudy called Fitz Senpai. Which the way he used it was to show respect that Fitz is an upper classmen. Like how you go to temple and you name the priest father or if you an adult and you are talking to people in temple like Brother Elijah or Sister June. Japanese adds something to everyone they speak. Which can be seen as insulting if you use the wrong ones. If you refer to someone as little kid or little sister when they are older then you it could be a way to belittle someone intentionally or unintentionally. And it is also confusing when the other person perfers it that way. Like how a teacher in anime would refer to herself as big sis or older students because either they are not married and want to be seen as young to get a suitor. Because calling them lady teacher makes them be seen as undesirable. In Spanish and English we have similar things. English speakers just use them less. Especially now when everyone is offended by the wrong pronouns. You don't call an unmarried lady or a lady with kids Miss you call them Madame or Ma'am. But if an older woman has no kids and has never married they my find that insulting but how is one to know they are not married or have kids when they look old and you just assume. Same thing with older people not liking being called Miss. You don't want to insult so you call them Miss and that still upsets them because they don't want to be seen as a kid with no respect. And Japan has these things for every occasion, young/old, female/male, with respect/without. Multiple ways of speaking depending on the situation. Whether with friends or not, you may call friend brother with people you know but you use older classmate around strangers. It is a bit confusing but they learn that at a young age. How to speak as a kid and how-to speak as an adult once you are an adult. Sorry for the rant.
It actually make sense the identities aren’t revealed since Greyrat is a wider spread noble family. Even if Paul renounced his nobility. There is no way to tell if Rudy is siding with Princess since not all Greyrats are.
The duel scene was much more dramatic in the novels. Rudy's spell smashed through the advanced-tier barrier encircling the dueling field and deeply into the sturdy magic-resistant brick wall behind Fitz. The field itself has an advance-tier healing circle on it to immediately heal all injuries sustained in the duel. It's not powerful enough to heal things like severed limbs though, You need King-tier for that. King-tier healers reside almost exclusively in Millis. Their services are incredibly expensive. Which has a monopoly on the higher tiers of barrier and divine magic.
This was a very funny way to play the relationship, without playing the relationship Silent is another special student, knows for her research, innovations and cuisine, they will explain more soon Also, Luke was annoyed at Rudeus, because he assumed Rudeus forgot about Silphy, as she never told Ariel and Luke she used to have green hair, i hope we get an episode from her point of view, so i wont say more

The opening is really pretty narrative if you analyze it. You're right. There is the blue bird (Roxy), which he follows to the school. The red bird (Eris), which flies away, and the green bird (Sylphie), which morphs into a white bird and flies to him.
"Miss Silent" Doesn't refer to Silent Fitz/Sylphie. It refers to Silent * * * * * * * (Whose last name is a spoiler). The black haired person you can see looking at a magic circle in the opening and in the end of the previous episode. Fitz/ Sylphie is not a special student. Most likely she turned down that status to be closer to Ariel.

It's just obviously the same person as I think there has been a single person in the entire run of the series with waist long jet black hair. I assumed that was who "miss silent" was because she was shown in the previous episode when they were showing all the students... Fitz & Ariel, the Doldias, and Cliff.
I personally didn't like the classroom seen or the acceptance dual. In the fight with Fitz, Rudy told the director that how can he know henis Rudy. Someone could have killed rudy for the acceptance letter of recommendation. You can also wisper incantations fastly to hide the fact you want people to believe he is chantless. So the director changes the instructor and finds Fitz. Also when Rudy scratches Fitz with the attack it was a last second decision on his part not to blow his head away because you are supposed to go all out in the dual. The School assumes that with all the seals on the walls and floors that any fight wouldn't be that powerful and healing would be fast. But Rudy destroys the wall behind Fitz and Fitz would have died had not Rudy changed his mind. He assumed the seals were strong enough. But the fact he destroyed a wall made him and everyone else realize how strong he is. And the classroom seen is also bad because it was like a checkpoint cutscene in a game. Where every new character shows up one by one to talk. The two beast ladies are supposed to be together at all times and they don't like Rudy right of the bat and show some distaste to him. Zeno when he saw Rudy went for a hug which would have killed him. So Rudy throws a stine cannon at his face and it just breaks like nothing and Zeno hugs him with some restain. Rudy at point is a bit proud of that. Because the last time they saw each other he was an animal. Cliff is also more annoying here and boast his ego and says how useless the teachers are and that he knows more then the teachers. Two things. Stop foxating on the wand. Yeah, he made it, and gave it to her. But it was directly modeled after the one roxy gave him, and the one she gave him was just a simple beginner wand that everyone gets. The wands he gave eris and ghislane looked the same too. He only was taken back out of nostalgia. It's not that the wand he gave silphy was in itself special. Or recognizable. Further. Yes, 3 years with eris tutoring, 3 years getting back from the demon continent, 1 year woth Sara and 1 year with sol. Plus travel time to renoa, a few months at least. Yeah rudius is 15 now, an adult in this world. And yeah at least 8 years since he saw silphy. Silphy is a direct attendant to the princess. She is bound to keep this secret of silent Fitz. Fitz is a political tool for the princess. And for now they don't know if rudius can be trusted. I've seen lots of people think, well she can just tell him in secret, but silphy is an employee and if she did tell him and things went south, she could be charged with treason. It's not as simple as folks think. Sure we all know rudy can keep his lips shut lol. But the princess is just figuring him out at this point.
I think the wand that Sylphie has is actually the exact one that Roxy gave him. He often let Sylphie borrow it, and he didn't have it when he was kidnapped to go with Ghislaine, probably because he didn't need it given his insane mana pool. That being said, it was just a mass-produced model, so there are many, many like it, but Roxy wasn't in a situation where she could have one custom made for him like the Boreas Greyrat's did with Aqua Heartia.
Some context! 1) Elinalise is very straight. She has no choice. The origin of the curse is spoiler area. The basic concept is this: Her body/womb is constantly aggregating mana, and cannot release it naturally, and cannot tolerate it like Rudeus or Laplace. Excess mana in this world is deadly. By constantly having relations, the mingling of male essence with her magified eggs causes the mana inside her to crystallize, which she then passes out of her body. These magic stones are the source of her great wealth. 2) Despite the curse, it is made known on the LN that even without, she would still be really promiscuous, so it’s barely an inconvenience for her, at least superficially. 3) Rudeus enters the Academy at 15. He is an adult. But he is a young adult. The Adventurer time period was several years. Elinalise legitimately wants to hunt down younger, more innocent guys. 4) Colours are a big deal. Good catch. 5) Genos did not expect Rudeus to come so quickly, and because he wasn’t absolutely sure it actually was Rudeus, that’s why the test was to take place. Additionally, Genos did not care one whit for Elinalise, and she ended up having to go through the normal entrance procedures. 6) The magic triumvirate is a grouping of three small nations which banded together and focused their attention on magic, which ultimately led them, as a group, to be considered the third most powerful polity on the central continent, despite their individual mediocrity in size and military force. They win on the world stage by being a center for all that is magic and knowledge, etc. 7) The above information is important because of the test and some detail that was shockingly left out of the adaptation. The majority of the academy as well as the high end public buildings and wealthy individuals are built out of magic resistant bricks. The Triumvirate guards the secrets to creating them very closely, and only the richest of other nations can afford to build small structures or parts of their governmental buildings out of them. This is but one of many sources of income for the Triumverate economy. 8) That said, the testing ground is basically a gym designed specifically for combat practice. The walls are reinforced magic resistant brick, and there are multiple King class healing circles in pairs across the floor and ceiling. The fact that they didn’t stress this part annoys me because of the way they also minimized the duel with Fitz. 9) A class was in session when they arrived, and Genos had to ask a teacher to let Fitz come and participate. Fitz recognized Rudy immediately and was in the middle of saying his name when he interrupts to introduce himself. So the charade began. 10) Silent Fitz is a bad, bad man. He is easily the strongest magical fighter in the school, and commands great respect. And Rudeus completely crushes his opponent. Of course he doesn’t realize Fitz is Sylphy, and truly thinks he’s up against another man, though he suspects Fitz is a year or two younger than him. 11) The duel itself was animated ok, I guess, but there are some key details they omitted. First of all, he didn’t recognize the wand. Just like he didn’t recognize Fitz. The adaptation is done in such a way as to imply he suspects something, but he’s oblivious. He just thinks that it reminds him of the one he had years ago. Second, Grand Mal, Disturb Magic is the full name of the spell he uses, which he copied from Orsted. It caught Fitz completely by surprise, as was animated. Here’s the big difference. He doesn’t manifest several rock bullets, he conjures a single one. And he aims it at Fitz’ forehead. He revs it up to roughly the same speed and power as the one that wounded Orsted, then realizes that even a King Class healing spell can’t cure an instant kill, so he adjust his aim to just wing her cheek. This bullet cuts her a bit, but then proceeds to bust through the magic defenses and then blow a hole in the wall. The wall made of anti magic bricks. The fact that they don’t address his inner monologue AND one of the overwhelming displays of power and restraint, bothers me. It’s a pivotal moment in how Fitz sees Rudeus. 12) The apology thing and cakes were sincere. Rudy really thought he’d embarrassed Fitz in front of everyone. 13) Ariel is too young to be class president. I hope they explain how it happened. 14) Cliff is still amazing. You better recognize. Zanoba too. Cliff, Zanoba, and Rudy, the power trio. 15) The talk with Rinnea and Persena went mostly like they animated, but they neglected to show him mentioning that he knew Gyse and the chief, which is why they stopped picking at him and let him be. 16) All their noise annoyed Cliff, who ended up yelling at them to shut up so he could study. That’s what calmed the ruckus down. 17) Don’t mock advanced… most people don’t get that good. 18) A key point to note about Silent. When they talk about Silent Fitz, they speak Japanese. When they talk about Silent, short for Silent Seven Star, they use English… it’s a direct translation. 19) Fitz behaves this way around Rudeus for a reason. Don’t bother questioning it. It will be addressed. 20) Rudeus is a bloody idiot. Just keep that in mind. 21) Rudy and Zanoba eat outside, because they couldn’t agree which cafeteria to eat in. The cafeteria is three stories tall, and are divided by social class. Zanoba wanted to eat in the high class area, Rudy in the low class area. They compromised by taking their lunches to go, and eating at a table that Rudy made with his earth magic. This becomes his routine, always building and destroying his outdoor tables. 22) Luke is a Notos, not a Boreas. You got that all wrong. :P Luke is a playboy. And Rudeus’ first cousin. 23) There is a reason why Fitz is in the girls’ dorm, washing Ariel’s delicates. It gets addressed later. Not super important, but the reason doesn’t give Rudy any other reason to think Fitz is a girl. 24) Fitz is a bad, bad man. 25) The girls have basically a roving hall monitor patrol. It is led by the gorilla lady, who is actually demon race, not beast race. 26) The first moment Rudy questions his sexuality.

Rudeus spent 1 year with Sara's party. Then spent another 1 year with Soldat. Unfortunate that this wasn't mentioned in the anime.
So to clarify a few things. Luke is not Eris's brother he is Pilemons son. Pilemon was Ariel's Connection/Patron/Friend in episode 0. At the end of episode 0 Luke and Pilemon both swore loyalty to Ariel. Luke and Fitz came with Ariel to protect her while she makes connections to take another shot at the throne. The academy is located in Ranoa which has no connection to the Asura Kingdom. Ranoa is it's own kingdom and part of an alliance with two other nations collectively known as the Magic Triumvirate. Fittoa was a region in the northern part of the Asura Kingdom where Rudy was born. Ranoa is like North-Central Canada and Asura is like Western U.S. geographically. The sword Sanctum where Eris is btw is at the very north-western edge of the map. Like Alaska, but only the size of a single city. I believe it's less than a week's journey from the academy.
Pilemon is also Paul's brother.
I also had a "so proud for my boi" moment when Fitz just literally inner fangirling about rudeus and how much he became!
Rudeus is about 15 years old here. The adult age is also 15 in this world.

Something that is a bit confusing about the potical stuff is that the show doesn't really explain things well. Ariel only wanted the throne after her mage died and his dying words were that she is the only one that can move things for the better. The kingdom has been in the same state since the Lapis war. And all the nobles just enjoy their fetishes and don't really fight for the throne. That is how Ariel felt as well. She thinks that no matter hee position she will always just be a lazy princess enjoying her life. And her brother planned to kill her because to many people liked her even those he was next in the to the throne. He was jealous and that was used against him because others would spread lies and rumors about her trying to take the throne.
You asked about Rudy in comparison to Cliff so I'll write down what I remember.
These are his official rankings, but Rudy is difficult to judge because he actively modifies spells through silent incantation so his Rock Cannon (a typically advanced or intermediate spell) could be king or emperor class.
Water Magic - Saint
All other elemental magic - Advanced (since Roxy couldn't teach him more than that, I'd argue he is Saint in Earth too since it's his favourite element)
Healing - Advanced or Intermediate (but requires incantation unlike Sylphie)

In terms of official achievements Cliff ranks surprisingly close since he is advanced in all elements, and at least beginner in the three that Rudy doesn't know. Of course his silent spell casting alone makes a massive difference let alone Rudy's actual combat experience.

@@AnimeDateNight since it's an Orsted original it's super hard to rank. Assuming it can deactivate any spell Rudy sees in time I'd argue Emperor, but it might just work like Rudy's stone cannon. The more mana he uses for it the better it is, so anything he has the mana capacity for which well, he's never hit his limit in the show.

8:37 that's a good friend right there. Doesn't judge you and instead helps you out. I think that was a great display of their friendship developed from traveling together for some time. Iirc from the novel, the time it took them to travel to the university was 6 months.
They are good friends and she cares a lot for him even though she absolutely hates his father. If it wasn't for the matching necklaces she would have never giving him a chance. Rudy is definitely a good person in her eyes. Even when she couldn't have a man for his seed she could still find comfort in Rudy late at night just sleeping next to him.

One thing to keep in mind is that in Japanese they don't have third person pronouns, so anything you see in the subs about he or she, is put in there by the translators as well as the mistakes like at the end there. All he does during this is call Fitz as Fitz, and that is because he sees her as Fitz.

While the japanese language doesn't have many pronouns, it still has ways to indicate someone's gender. Like saying "The man called Fitz" or something. That combined with Fitz's male student clothes, short hair, and use of "Boku" (masculine pronoun), led Rudeus to think without a doubt that Fitz is a guy.
I think they watched this on crunchroll. Because when I watched it somewhere else it didn't have that many mistakes in the sub. Crunchroll is terrible in translations.
Also Japan has a lot of ways they speak with each other. They have a more respectful way in that they add things to the end of titles and names. Kun, San, Chan, stuff like that. Even here if you just listen to them speak Rudy called Fitz Senpai. Which the way he used it was to show respect that Fitz is an upper classmen. Like how you go to temple and you name the priest father or if you an adult and you are talking to people in temple like Brother Elijah or Sister June. Japanese adds something to everyone they speak. Which can be seen as insulting if you use the wrong ones. If you refer to someone as little kid or little sister when they are older then you it could be a way to belittle someone intentionally or unintentionally. And it is also confusing when the other person perfers it that way.
Like how a teacher in anime would refer to herself as big sis or older students because either they are not married and want to be seen as young to get a suitor. Because calling them lady teacher makes them be seen as undesirable. In Spanish and English we have similar things. English speakers just use them less.
Especially now when everyone is offended by the wrong pronouns. You don't call an unmarried lady or a lady with kids Miss you call them Madame or Ma'am. But if an older woman has no kids and has never married they my find that insulting but how is one to know they are not married or have kids when they look old and you just assume. Same thing with older people not liking being called Miss. You don't want to insult so you call them Miss and that still upsets them because they don't want to be seen as a kid with no respect. And Japan has these things for every occasion, young/old, female/male, with respect/without. Multiple ways of speaking depending on the situation. Whether with friends or not, you may call friend brother with people you know but you use older classmate around strangers. It is a bit confusing but they learn that at a young age. How to speak as a kid and how-to speak as an adult once you are an adult.

It actually make sense the identities aren’t revealed since Greyrat is a wider spread noble family. Even if Paul renounced his nobility. There is no way to tell if Rudy is siding with Princess since not all Greyrats are.
The duel scene was much more dramatic in the novels. Rudy's spell smashed through the advanced-tier barrier encircling the dueling field and deeply into the sturdy magic-resistant brick wall behind Fitz. The field itself has an advance-tier healing circle on it to immediately heal all injuries sustained in the duel. It's not powerful enough to heal things like severed limbs though, You need King-tier for that. King-tier healers reside almost exclusively in Millis. Their services are incredibly expensive. Which has a monopoly on the higher tiers of barrier and divine magic.
Fun fact, Rudeus aimed those stone bullets at Fitz's head before changing his mind to slightly miss.

Pretty neat to see Rudeus master silent disturb magic as the only person we've seen do that is Orsted. Goliade confirmed as the new best girl.
The opening is really pretty narrative if you analyze it. You're right. There is the blue bird (Roxy), which he follows to the school. The red bird (Eris), which flies away, and the green bird (Sylphie), which morphs into a white bird and flies to him.
"Miss Silent" Doesn't refer to Silent Fitz/Sylphie. It refers to Silent * * * * * * * (Whose last name is a spoiler). The black haired person you can see looking at a magic circle in the opening and in the end of the previous episode. Fitz/ Sylphie is not a special student. Most likely she turned down that status to be closer to Ariel.

It's just obviously the same person as I think there has been a single person in the entire run of the series with waist long jet black hair. I assumed that was who "miss silent" was because she was shown in the previous episode when they were showing all the students... Fitz & Ariel, the Doldias, and Cliff.
I personally didn't like the classroom seen or the acceptance dual. In the fight with Fitz, Rudy told the director that how can he know henis Rudy. Someone could have killed rudy for the acceptance letter of recommendation. You can also wisper incantations fastly to hide the fact you want people to believe he is chantless. So the director changes the instructor and finds Fitz. Also when Rudy scratches Fitz with the attack it was a last second decision on his part not to blow his head away because you are supposed to go all out in the dual. The School assumes that with all the seals on the walls and floors that any fight wouldn't be that powerful and healing would be fast. But Rudy destroys the wall behind Fitz and Fitz would have died had not Rudy changed his mind. He assumed the seals were strong enough. But the fact he destroyed a wall made him and everyone else realize how strong he is.
And the classroom seen is also bad because it was like a checkpoint cutscene in a game. Where every new character shows up one by one to talk. The two beast ladies are supposed to be together at all times and they don't like Rudy right of the bat and show some distaste to him. Zeno when he saw Rudy went for a hug which would have killed him. So Rudy throws a stine cannon at his face and it just breaks like nothing and Zeno hugs him with some restain. Rudy at point is a bit proud of that. Because the last time they saw each other he was an animal.
Cliff is also more annoying here and boast his ego and says how useless the teachers are and that he knows more then the teachers.

A female pronoun is not used neither in the LN(the source material) nor in the anime when Rudeus said the line.
Two things. Stop foxating on the wand. Yeah, he made it, and gave it to her. But it was directly modeled after the one roxy gave him, and the one she gave him was just a simple beginner wand that everyone gets. The wands he gave eris and ghislane looked the same too. He only was taken back out of nostalgia. It's not that the wand he gave silphy was in itself special. Or recognizable.
Further. Yes, 3 years with eris tutoring, 3 years getting back from the demon continent, 1 year woth Sara and 1 year with sol. Plus travel time to renoa, a few months at least. Yeah rudius is 15 now, an adult in this world. And yeah at least 8 years since he saw silphy.
Silphy is a direct attendant to the princess. She is bound to keep this secret of silent Fitz. Fitz is a political tool for the princess. And for now they don't know if rudius can be trusted. I've seen lots of people think, well she can just tell him in secret, but silphy is an employee and if she did tell him and things went south, she could be charged with treason. It's not as simple as folks think. Sure we all know rudy can keep his lips shut lol. But the princess is just figuring him out at this point.

I think the wand that Sylphie has is actually the exact one that Roxy gave him. He often let Sylphie borrow it, and he didn't have it when he was kidnapped to go with Ghislaine, probably because he didn't need it given his insane mana pool. That being said, it was just a mass-produced model, so there are many, many like it, but Roxy wasn't in a situation where she could have one custom made for him like the Boreas Greyrat's did with Aqua Heartia.
Some context!
1) Elinalise is very straight. She has no choice. The origin of the curse is spoiler area. The basic concept is this: Her body/womb is constantly aggregating mana, and cannot release it naturally, and cannot tolerate it like Rudeus or Laplace. Excess mana in this world is deadly. By constantly having relations, the mingling of male essence with her magified eggs causes the mana inside her to crystallize, which she then passes out of her body. These magic stones are the source of her great wealth.
2) Despite the curse, it is made known on the LN that even without, she would still be really promiscuous, so it’s barely an inconvenience for her, at least superficially.
3) Rudeus enters the Academy at 15. He is an adult. But he is a young adult. The Adventurer time period was several years. Elinalise legitimately wants to hunt down younger, more innocent guys.
4) Colours are a big deal. Good catch.
5) Genos did not expect Rudeus to come so quickly, and because he wasn’t absolutely sure it actually was Rudeus, that’s why the test was to take place. Additionally, Genos did not care one whit for Elinalise, and she ended up having to go through the normal entrance procedures.
6) The magic triumvirate is a grouping of three small nations which banded together and focused their attention on magic, which ultimately led them, as a group, to be considered the third most powerful polity on the central continent, despite their individual mediocrity in size and military force. They win on the world stage by being a center for all that is magic and knowledge, etc.
7) The above information is important because of the test and some detail that was shockingly left out of the adaptation. The majority of the academy as well as the high end public buildings and wealthy individuals are built out of magic resistant bricks. The Triumvirate guards the secrets to creating them very closely, and only the richest of other nations can afford to build small structures or parts of their governmental buildings out of them. This is but one of many sources of income for the Triumverate economy.
8) That said, the testing ground is basically a gym designed specifically for combat practice. The walls are reinforced magic resistant brick, and there are multiple King class healing circles in pairs across the floor and ceiling. The fact that they didn’t stress this part annoys me because of the way they also minimized the duel with Fitz.
9) A class was in session when they arrived, and Genos had to ask a teacher to let Fitz come and participate. Fitz recognized Rudy immediately and was in the middle of saying his name when he interrupts to introduce himself. So the charade began.
10) Silent Fitz is a bad, bad man. He is easily the strongest magical fighter in the school, and commands great respect. And Rudeus completely crushes his opponent. Of course he doesn’t realize Fitz is Sylphy, and truly thinks he’s up against another man, though he suspects Fitz is a year or two younger than him.
11) The duel itself was animated ok, I guess, but there are some key details they omitted. First of all, he didn’t recognize the wand. Just like he didn’t recognize Fitz. The adaptation is done in such a way as to imply he suspects something, but he’s oblivious. He just thinks that it reminds him of the one he had years ago. Second, Grand Mal, Disturb Magic is the full name of the spell he uses, which he copied from Orsted. It caught Fitz completely by surprise, as was animated. Here’s the big difference. He doesn’t manifest several rock bullets, he conjures a single one. And he aims it at Fitz’ forehead. He revs it up to roughly the same speed and power as the one that wounded Orsted, then realizes that even a King Class healing spell can’t cure an instant kill, so he adjust his aim to just wing her cheek. This bullet cuts her a bit, but then proceeds to bust through the magic defenses and then blow a hole in the wall. The wall made of anti magic bricks. The fact that they don’t address his inner monologue AND one of the overwhelming displays of power and restraint, bothers me. It’s a pivotal moment in how Fitz sees Rudeus.
12) The apology thing and cakes were sincere. Rudy really thought he’d embarrassed Fitz in front of everyone.
13) Ariel is too young to be class president. I hope they explain how it happened.
14) Cliff is still amazing. You better recognize. Zanoba too. Cliff, Zanoba, and Rudy, the power trio.
15) The talk with Rinnea and Persena went mostly like they animated, but they neglected to show him mentioning that he knew Gyse and the chief, which is why they stopped picking at him and let him be.
16) All their noise annoyed Cliff, who ended up yelling at them to shut up so he could study. That’s what calmed the ruckus down.
17) Don’t mock advanced… most people don’t get that good.
18) A key point to note about Silent. When they talk about Silent Fitz, they speak Japanese. When they talk about Silent, short for Silent Seven Star, they use English… it’s a direct translation.
19) Fitz behaves this way around Rudeus for a reason. Don’t bother questioning it. It will be addressed.
20) Rudeus is a bloody idiot. Just keep that in mind.
21) Rudy and Zanoba eat outside, because they couldn’t agree which cafeteria to eat in. The cafeteria is three stories tall, and are divided by social class. Zanoba wanted to eat in the high class area, Rudy in the low class area. They compromised by taking their lunches to go, and eating at a table that Rudy made with his earth magic. This becomes his routine, always building and destroying his outdoor tables.
22) Luke is a Notos, not a Boreas. You got that all wrong. :P

23) There is a reason why Fitz is in the girls’ dorm, washing Ariel’s delicates. It gets addressed later. Not super important, but the reason doesn’t give Rudy any other reason to think Fitz is a girl.

25) The girls have basically a roving hall monitor patrol. It is led by the gorilla lady, who is actually demon race, not beast race.
26) The first moment Rudy questions his sexuality.
