2:03 that smile from Alfred after Father Beocca was brilliant. It was of trying not to laugh and probably thinking "I'm proud to have a priest who's tongue is as sharp as his faith" lol. Father Beocca was definitely one of my top favorites on the show
Father Beocca was one of my favorite characters from this series. His death was a huge shock, and very sad. One of my favorite moments was when Uhtred finally broke down crying after Beocca died and Finan comforted him.
First dad beocca was the one teaching him education and making parent decisions baptized him got him a job with the king saved his life when his uncle came to kill him as a child so he can become a Dane. He really was everything to that man . When he died uthred was wondering if bebbenburg was worth him . Home can be anywhere it's the people not the place .but utreds dream is bebbenburg
Brocade was the rock, not the rock that put him in a purposefully bad place, but a truthful place. One that gave accountability to a man that didn’t believe what he believed, but brought them to the same place nonetheless. I have no father and no brothers, no cousins, but this rendition of Father Beocca brings me to tears, he stood as his father figure when there was none, and came into his family under circumstance, yet he never lost site of him or his path. Gods willing I will find Beocca in my own life, if not, he will wield a spear behind me and we will charge the enemy line!
this show was way better than i thought it was going to be. i became attached to beocca, he was my favorite character by far. how he watched uhtred grow from a small child, to a man and a father. good stuff
My inner historian is crying at the hideously inaccurate battle scenes, and the shields, and everything.... but cheering for Beocca. Beocca is one of the few decent characters in TLK.
Yeah, I feel bad for and sympathize with people like you, the inaccuracies can really kill any and all enjoyment of a franchise when you know better. I feel the same when watching movie adaptations of books I’ve read, Percy Jackson being one of the worst.
The most ubiquitous weapon known to mankind, and the only person carrying a spear is the priest. So many swords I'm surprised the glare didn't blind everyone.
Wow! Thanx for that! Absolutely teared up again when Finnan tried to comfort Uthred about Beocca's death... (to be fair, I just discovered this show and recently whatched that episode) This show is so good! Great vid!
well he kinda did. he looked to be about in his 50's when uhtred was a child. he watched uhtred grow into a man, so he had to be at least 70 by the time of his death

Absolutely loved that moment 😂😂 one of my favourites little segments honestly, as well as seeing Leofric in the final episode of season 3

Sooo heartbreaking!😢 but such a good scene! Makes me cry everytime!
"And I will not be difficult to find" is one of the most badass things I've heard
And his spear did slay Scorpa of the White horse.
Beocca was one of my favorite characters who always had Ultread’s best interest! Just genuinely cared for him! His death hurt me so much 😭
beocca was literally uhtred's 3rd dad, and his best one. always always looking out for him and making sure he doesn't get into too much shit.

I used to hate Beocca in the first season, but GOD, he growed so much after! What a great job they did with this character.
Father is amazing man he is whst i see a perfect father would be
My favourite character, he both loved King Alfred and Uthred, but in the end he chose Uthred because he loved him like a Son

When beocca turned to aethelwold (Alfred's nephew) and said your father would be so ashamed of you. It cut like a knife because it was true.
Professor Quirrell
I love how he knew instantly it was Uthred after not seeing him in years😢
Father Beocca's death broke my heart 💔
That one time utred said... Thankk you ..father

Most of the battles in the early seasons are well done. Only s4 I had a gripe where they charged into a open field
It was always funny to me! The fact father Beocca (a priest) was on the battlefield fighting & killing in the first place, but I enjoyed the show🤣

Father Beocas death was the saddest for me
Father Beocca is my 2nd favorite character after Uhtred.
With the help of your prayers brother i shall become immortal" Alfred laughs knowing sll id true and uthred is the man .
Amo essa série 💜
He deserved to Live till old age 😭😭😭
He's in his heaven
well he kinda did. he looked to be about in his 50's when uhtred was a child. he watched uhtred grow into a man, so he had to be at least 70 by the time of his death
5:09 Uhtred’s reaction hahahahxa
i fucking love beocca
Beocca and thyra you greedy selfish bastards😅
Alexandre dreymon é meu ator preferido ❤
Did not show the best parts of him. Most of them, but absolutely not all.
That's fine, gives me a reason to binge it again ;)
