I spent 30 years working on police cars, as a fleet mechanic, and, can really relate to your experiences, intimate practical knowledge is invaluable and is why your tours are the best I have seen on TH-cam relating to actual ownership / maintenance of these high end boats. Pulling up floor panels, climbing into bilges, explaining the electrical systems, stress points, failures of the heads, etc are fantastic things to know, and things that are rarely covered in “sales” tours. A salesman is never going to tell you the black water hoses are way your boat smells like farts. I was especially liked you pointing out some of the “hidden gems” like the DC relays hidden in the master cabin (horrifying to me I might add)
Yes! I could listen to you for hours. Man, you know your stuff. I like that it appears you don’t pull punches when talking about issues that you run into while working on them
First of all you do the best boat tours I’ve ever seen. Simply outstanding. The one thing I learned is it’s a very nice boat but there is no way I could get into the mechanical spaces myself which makes it a hard no from us. Showing the detail you do is really informative. Thank you.
A fantastic walkthrough... My wife and I are looking at Nordhavn's over the next 3-5 years as our "we're retired and seeing the world" vessels and you can count on us talking with you when we get there.
Martin, drop us an email, info@nordhavnonly.com, and let us know what you interested and we can keep you on our mind when different boats become available
Ive thought a 62 would be too big for just my wife and me. But now you've convinced me that I wouldn't want one anyways. That 57 or 53 is looking much better.
Excellent info. I like it when people aren’t afraid to get the pros and cons out to the people. The one thing I see with these 62s is that they remind me of the old jaguar XK ease long Slurpee fronts bulbs on the back. I will be looking for a forward layout if I can ever afford it. Thanks again looking forward to the next one.
Saw the N57 video recently, couldn't believe it when the 62 vid popped up. Keep them coming they are greatly appreciated. Just for the record - not long enough.
I've been loving these boats since the mid 90's, I started dreaming about a 46', but the 62' was always it's cooler big brother! Since I will probably never get to own one, this video is the next best thing! Thanks.
Great talk of this 62. My dad and I had a 30' Bayliner with twin Volvo Penta 280 in board/ outboards. The wires in the fly bridge were corroded and problematic. The older boat was not used much and the Gasoline had turned the intake into a gooey mess. So much so one of the valves stuck and pushed the rocker stud out of the head. Hot dipped the heads, installed a new stud and was ready to go.
I have seen a few videos of Nirdhavn boats and are generally impressed. As a retired field engineer in the pharmaceutical industry I often came. Across the problem of the operators wanting to know how full the many tanks in their system were at the operations room. Generally.we solved this problem by installing pressure transducers in the bottom of the tanks and running a signal wire back to the control room to a calibrated gauge calibrated in litre Of course we had to adjust for the length and internal resistance of the readout wire. Generally we installed two transducers and controls. Accuracy was within .1 of a litre with a 10,000 litre tank.

Although not in any market for a Nordhavn 52, this game me a ton of info about nordhan as a whole. Thanks for giving an honest and proper review about this yacht. Not too many videos like this that are out there.
If I ever had the money to buy a used Nordhavn I’d make sure I saved up double the price of the boat and have James make a list of everything he has seen that needs to be changed so the boat lasts as long as possible and my boat would have all the best features/upgrades of all of the boats in that model.
Better Presentation than ..some other review channels I could mention .. soley for the fact that it's more indepth and the content is just shy of 2hrs ... Awesometastic ...
Thank you James for a most informative and thought-provoking review of this magnificent little ship. As someone who has admired these boats from afar, and for many years, it is highly pleasurable to be able to 'virtually' get on board and see how they tick. I know that I will never own a Nordhavn, unless my lotto numbers come up, but I still enjoy the dreams they give me. As for the length of your video, as far as I am concerned, the longer the better, but I do appreciate that you also have a job, and that while filming these videos, you and Matt are not earning, so many thanks from an Australian fan.
I think only a large aircraft could be more complex and your knowledge/experience is truly amazing. Without the support of people like you (and few you there are, I'll bet) owners would truly be "at sea".
Cant wait for you to get on an 86 or 96. Nordhavn advertise them as operable by an owner without crew, would love to hear your thoughts on that during a walk around. Either way its fantastic that you point out the good and the bad. Absolute best sales technique is to just be honest, please keep up the outstanding work!
Terrific walkthrough and great insight - particularly as it relates to the trade-offs and compromises inherent in owning a Nordhavn 62. As a practical matter, with only 36 made, you have to take whatever comes onto the market when you’re ready to buy. Having said that, there are no poor choices in N62s and these boats are such gems of seaworthiness that you learn to love any idiosyncrasies (even the engine room ceiling height).
This was amazing - only 1.57k subscribers? This channel will blow up and you'll have 100k in no time when you'll keep making awesome walkthroughs as this. Keep up the good work!
Awesome intro with the skate board! Loved it and the video was incredible! Most info I've ever heard, great content. Was onboard the Grey Pearl more than a decade ago in the Seattle Boat Show. Been in love with the Nordhavn brand ever since. What a valuable asset your knowledge of these boats are. Great job!
Love the transparency of your videos, this would give your buyers/owners genuine peace of mind that there are no unknowns. Keep the @YachtTechInc info coming.
those back railings u can pull off or add back can hve a ladder like new tents hve that just extends down when u need it & compresses back together in on itself when u don't. Just need a way to hook it on hand rail as needed.

Better Presentation than ..some other review channels I could mention .. soley for the fact that it's more indepth and the content is just shy of 2hrs ...
Awesometastic ...
If you came with the boat I’d buy one! Great video. Thanks!
Brilliant!!!
Can’t wait for you to do a complete walk through, and explanation of the N63. 😁
I'm sure you see one soon. So surprised you want to see that model.... ;)
Great walkthrough. We spent 6 months on MV Undine last year. Hopefully get opportunity to crew again on a nordhavn 😎
Totally excellent walkthrough. Honest and informative info, he really knows his stuff 👍
This is the best walk through I have seen and I watch a LOT of boat videos!
Yeah, this is a great review!
The 62 is one of my favorites too!
You're definitely a valuable resource for Nordhavn!
great tour and detail your knowledge is fabulously indepth
I think only a large aircraft could be more complex and your knowledge/experience is truly amazing. Without the support of people like you (and few you there are, I'll bet) owners would truly be "at sea".
There’s something special about nordhavn’s. Thank you for an absolutely fantastic video.
Awesome tour/talk, thanks! I thought we were going to get to hear the horn!!
Thank you, I know sorry about that! We got a bit sidetracked 😅

Wow, a totally honest walkthrough, almost 2 hours. This is how it should be done.
Thank you guys.
Subscribed.
Thank you ! Looking forward to doing some more :)
What an awesome walkthrough! You really know your stuff and man- there's a lot to know in all the systems. Great job!
This was amazing - only 1.57k subscribers? This channel will blow up and you'll have 100k in no time when you'll keep making awesome walkthroughs as this. Keep up the good work!
Heck yeah, man, in depth, thorough reviews are great! Thanks for putting in the work, sir!
Hello James . I found this video VERY informative and interesting ! Thanks for the lessons !
Great Video Could you do this type of video on the Nordhavn 60 Thanx
Awesome intro with the skate board! Loved it and the video was incredible! Most info I've ever heard, great content. Was onboard the Grey Pearl more than a decade ago in the Seattle Boat Show. Been in love with the Nordhavn brand ever since. What a valuable asset your knowledge of these boats are. Great job!
Nice one wheel, I do the same and use it for transportation when cruising.
James, thank you. Please thank the owner for allowing us aboard.
Love the transparency of your videos, this would give your buyers/owners genuine peace of mind that there are no unknowns. Keep the @YachtTechInc info coming.
Fantastic, I always enjoy your work and love Matthew's "fluid" camera style. Thank You.
those back railings u can pull off or add back can hve a ladder like new tents hve that just extends down when u need it & compresses back together in on itself when u don't. Just need a way to hook it on hand rail as needed.
Again what a great great presentation and walkthrough.....excellent job guys
thank you great talk through walk through easy 2 hours to sit through
James this was amazing! Please make more! This was so awesome to see! Maybe do one of the new little 40somethings that are just coming out? Great work mate. Appreciate your hard work.
Thanks for the nice walkthrough.
This man is so knowledgeable amazing experience
I love Anacortes! I lived there while I was stationed at Whitney Island.
Thank you, a truly enjoyable video
I'm not really a boat person and this was just a recommendation from TH-cam but I did watch the the whole thing and really enjoyed it and towards the end I had feeling of wanting one lol anyway well done 👏.
