Driving over the years pass the Pond, I have seen it Green, brown Milo look, Foamy, Frothy, clear like A Mirror. When driving on the Pamphret Road You can see the pond if You look carefully. Never knew people Fish at the Pond.
I did not know either. But since the Caribbean sea runs into the pond I can understand why especially when it rains as he said. Happy Sunday Nics.
Your videos are very informative. I'm from Yallahs, Knightsville Baptist. Having not been out there for over 30years, don't believe I could drive in St. Thomas nor the entire Jamaica, the people they drive so crazy, WOW!

OK, the 1st time I heard those 2 versions of the pond, what I heard, it was a community of about 100 people, 2 brothers started a fight, the innocent one went to Yallahs Bay, and on his return, this was what he saw a new pond,....but they said this pond was formed by the volcanic actions at BATH. This pond is its cooling system.... Geologists said this pond is the only of its kind in the western hemisphere, and it is 7 times salter than the sea, ....I have always seen a tourist industry around this, one should be able to exit the highway, to a parking lot, the length of a pond, on two sides, with a boardwalk, jogging lane, cycling lane, look-out binoculars, barbeque areas, with, benches, (parish council rental ) of area for functions, vendors along the strips, maybe we ( Yallahs, MP/Mayor) should come together and do this, and the ideas are to many, GOOD POST, GOOD JOB, GREAT IDEA for content........stasy in St. Thomas.
Great ideas. It needs to become a reality.

I find they are working very slow on the road in the yallas area.
I constantly say we driving daily through a construction zone. It's seems forever.

Salt Full of Bacteria can't be used for Consumption. I heard is Family dispute over land.

What bacteria? My uncle used to load this salt in is truck and sell it to the pig farmers in Portland?
Did you know a certain time of the year the pond will get warm and a lot of dead fish floating on the surface of the water. 😢😢 what do you think the people in the area do? They take them home and the rest is history 😅😂
