looks like a pretty decent budget air rifle and I am glad they put open sights on it I wish all air rifle companies would put open sights on there air rifles. especially since guys like you and I like shooting with open sights.
I wish you could've kept Off The Shelf Airguns going but I'll watch your other channel as well. I find you very informative so I can make educated choices on airguns. Keep up the good work.
Off The Shelf Airguns isn't going anywhere, it's here to stay and only getting bigger from here. If you're talking about the "Cancelled" video from April 1st, that was an April Fools joke. OTSA isn't going anywhere.
Sweet for the price. Great shooting open sights too, Riddict! Umarex has some other nice new budget air rifles coming out. Like the Iconix and the Zelos PCPs. and the New, improved, and lighter, underlever Synergis Elite. Lots of new stuff to try out1
You've only seen the beginning of the ambient audio. I plan on doing comparison videos which will now feature the ambient audio as part of the comparison. This is just my way of introducing it so you expect it down the road 🍻
I got a wide range of things I'm covering this year. You'll see. The BM8 was just the first of many different things you will see this year. With that said, I will never abandon stuff like this because it's what I'm known for 🍻
looks nice. as you do your full review my question is, what does this rifle offer that others dont ? why buy this one versus a crosman or gamo ? what competitive advantage is there to owning this particular rifle ? does umarex have good customer service for parts ? worthy questions.
Worthy questions for sure. Some of them I can't directly answer though and let me explain why: Some ride the line of a review and sales pitch. Why you should buy a Crosman over a Gamo or Umarex is riding the line of a sales pitch, and TH-cam is very strict on that when it comes to firearms and airguns. I know it seems ridiculous, but it's actually a thing and it's annoying. I have to tow that line with caution. As for competitive advantages over others, I think I do answer that in most reviews, in that the actions speak louder than words with how they perform in each review. So to keep things from being an hour long my main focus is on how the gun functions and performs. That's why I have separate versus or comparison videos between guns in certain categories, to answer questions like that. Something I will be doing more of this year. As for customer service aspects, I actually have a dedicated video on that subject coming soon that covers many companies and their customer service, or lack thereof. Lastly, I'm not perfect, sometimes I forget to include certain things I want to touch on just due to the sheer volume of videos I put out and the work involved in filming and editing, certain things will slip through the cracks. Hopefully I didn't sound like a jerk explaining all of that 🍻
@@OTSA an excellent explanation of how you tube operates. thanks for taking the time for a reply. I do have one other thing to mention - i hear some gamo's have a synthetic breech block. when you do your reviews could you please mention whether the breech block is steel or synthetic ? thanks for your reviews. I really enjoy them.
@@OTSA Then pa-ting-it again, you know it’s not even broke in yet, right??? Pa-ting the best video with it, hang it on the wall! I got faith in you friend!
always enjoy a good YT plink session with you brother
I grew up outside of Pittsburgh. when i see the trees and hear the turnpike noises in the background it reminds me of home.

Open Sights are my favorite. I was showing my boy some guns yesterday with open sights.
Yeah same here man. If I have to use a scope I will, but I prefer open sights 99 percent of the time 🍻😎🤘
I love a budget friendly plinker!
Always a nice thing! 🍻
Way better than the Emerge. Great video brother! I was a little late with the comment! Pa-Ting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks, Riddict. Prymex looks like a nice plinker, and I look forward to the new format. The ambient sound feature is way cool. :)
Thanks for informative video. Waiting for more Prymex testing.

I have one of these umarex in syrix model. This looks like a good rifle. Keep up the great work slick.
Looks like nice new breakbarrell. Interested to see how it perfiorms with scope at 20 yards

Oh yeah I got my eye on that Zelos. Might check out the updated Synergis since I never owned the previous one 🍻
Liking the ambient mic..although it's difficult to gauge, perhaps compare to something common like a 880-901 pumper..thanks, as always, fun stuff!

My 901 is much quieter than my break barrels
Sounds great..looking forward to it! @@OTSA

👍 good info
Nice one man. Pa Ting! 😂
Have you thought about trying something better made? A Weihrauch or Beeman R7 or 9?

No worries. Some of the German made guns can be quite pricey but some are also surprisingly affordable.@@OTSA
I'm definitely looking into them 🍻
For us old guys with bad rotator cuffs, what is the lever weight to cock it ? (some guys use a fish scale to get the weight number)
What is the FPS with light grain pellet?

Great sound idea but I think it could use a little more cowbell man.
Nice!
