    There is an advantage to open sights beyond durability
    If you take a one inch see through scope mount and put a mini-mag flashlight in that mount then you can shoot at night.
    The light will pick up the rear sight, the front sight and the eyes of the critter you want to shoot.

    Love the ambience thing. Bet the background noice is way louder! Cool rifle , I like the fact these new airguns coming out this year have included open sights. Let’s be honest these are not long range guns and imo, open sights are just fine at these close ranges. Thanks , have great day✨🇺🇸

    Just received my Prymex from air gun depot and am gradually getting the included scope dialed in...been running JSB Hades diabolo 15.8 gr through it and for a $100 gun really packs a punch...I'm impressed with what Umarex is providing to the air gun community ❤

      Mine was a straight shooter but definitely less then the 650 fps advertised on eBay would still blow through tin cans full of whatever and definitely took small game, didn't have a problem until I started dieseling the crap out of it and shooting homemade projectiles out of it for shits and giggles lol now it won't cock so I'm getting this one here and not messing with it as far as dieseling or homemade ammo. B3-3 went through 3500 pellets and a ton of misuse before failing which again was my fault and not the rifle

    Ive been waiting for this video. A great review of this rifle. looks comparable to others in the same price range. Honestly, with the sky high prices of everything these days, i think a rifle like this at 100 dollars is a great deal. Im impressed with the accuracy at 30 yards. good shooting. Ive always had a couple of bb guns laying around over the years, but after switching over to the break barrel style i gotta say im hooked on them. kinda like shooting a baby 22 rifle. and the price of pellets is still reasonable. Keep up the great reviews and glad to see you emerge from the bunker now and again. One thing I would change on this rifle if i could, i dont like auto safetys you have to release every time.

      @OTSA  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Scopes are for amateurs, long live open sights!! Seriously though the scope is fine, it's just cheap. The gun isn't a springer, it's a gas ram and barely has a recoil. 🍻

    Looks nice but I can't get myself to trust gas pistons!I am guessing that they have Nitrogen in them and due to the extensive compression how long will the seals last?

    • @OTSA
      @OTSA  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      With regular use and general maintenance I would say many years. Considering this is a budget rifle, I think it wouldn't be an issue getting the money's worth out of it.
      All of my gas piston guns are still going strong, but the experience of one doesn't equate to the experience of many. So I really couldn't say definitively if it would be the same experience for you.
      Of course if I ever have issues with any of these I will absolutely report on it 🍻

    • @OTSA
      @OTSA  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I would clean the barrel as best you can. If you watch my "First Look" video on this gun, I show how dirty the barrel is right out of the box. Just get a .177 -.22 cal cleaning rod, some pads, and then pull a few pads through. It will still burn off some oils, but it should be better after a cleaning.
      If you already cleaned it, then maybe do it a few more times or just keep shooting it and eventually it will calm down. How light are the pellets?

    Ok review here overall. But every pellet you chronied, no one really uses those pellets. I think if you used some crosman hollows or domes 14.3 and say like 15 grains and maybe a 18;grain at the end would've been much better choices that people like. Those pellets people use more often than not in breakers. Then of course maybe H&N field target trophies 9.5 grain for speeding. The first thing to do tho is break in the gas ram first about 300 - 500 shots so it doesn't diesel. Gives people a better idea of reality ligit testing. Just saying from one airgunnar to the next. 😀

    • @OTSA
      @OTSA  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      First of all, I appreciate the info. But remember, this is "Off The Shelf" airguns and its kinda my thing to see what they do "Off the Shelf" so no one is surprised when they get one. It's on purpose and by design. I have a lot of viewers who are new to this, and they should be aware of what's going on off the shelf. Perhaps you missed my first look video where I clean the barrel and talk about dieseling and what not. This was covered in the "first look" video.
      With that said, I always come back and test guns again after a few months of use to see what we get at that point. You're always going to get the off the shelf results, and then later down the line the results after months of use. That's how I do it and most of my viewers expect it.
      As for pellets, you know what's funny? I've always used basic Crosman hollow points or domes in my testing, but I kept getting comments and emails about how nobody uses them. So I switched it up to using different brands, specifically in break barrels. Now here you are, telling me nobody uses them and I should use Crosmans. Isn't that hilarious?? 🤣 I can't please everyone, what you see is what you get my friend! 🍻

    • @eddiecahall3824
      @eddiecahall3824 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@OTSAGotcha yes it is def funny people say they don't use crosman pellets, yet most of them are shopping at Walmart for ammo,it's all we hear🤣 depending on the power ram , no not all airguns like the crosmans. Which is why one should have a big variety to test. It's all good boss,was just saying

    • @johnndavis7647
      @johnndavis7647 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The Crosman 14.3 is available everywhere and price is reasonable.
      They are the benchmark that I compare all others too.
      After I see what the Crosmans will do I try some other brands and weights to see if any will do better.
      Can I hold a 1" group another 10 yards out with a pellet that costs twice as much? Probably, but is it worth it?
      Really, if a rifle won't hold a one inch group at 20 yards with the Crosman 14.3s I get rid of it.
      Thanks for the video.
