I own one of these and don't like it at all. Windows 10 for instance only shows generic resolution options and is probably the KVM's biggest defeat, on a 1680x1050 monitor it looks horrible and the ghosting doesn't help. My brand is an iegeek and I paid 20$ for it on Amazon, and it didn't come with that box.. they came in plastic ziploc bags. I was also sent a suspiciously bad usb cable so i used something else.
question: can the computers share speakers with this? If I have a USB keyboard and a wireless mouse can I use those other USB ports on the side front for them (because I will need two - one for mouse, one for keyboard)?

I have a KVM switch but My screen isn't working with it, the company iogear is of NO help! the problem I'm having is that my monitor has a dvi and vga cable (2 cords coming from the back) the KVM has only one hook up cable If I hook up the vga cord into the kvm the computers will not show until the DVI cable is hooked into that computer. I've searched TH-cam for work around. I don't understand enough to figure it out. How can I use this gadget to hook up both my computers?

Be mindful of the different brands of KVM type switches. If you boot up into a Belkin KVM switch after hooking it up and NOT reading the instructions, you'll experience an irrecoverable take down of your hard drive disk. Read the instructions and DO have both computers on when attaching the monitors. This is contrary to the "old school" practice of NEVER hot-change any hardware at any time.

I use 4 computes and a KVM switch. Just make sure they are compatible with the OS your using, e.g. Win 7/8 etc.

unfortunately not. KVMs were designed for switching between server computers, where sound wasn't important.

It has nothing to do with the hard drive, it's all gpu/monitor related work, and usb of course.
