Hi Saab Unleashed. I self own a TEYES CC3, 6gb ram and 128gb rom model in my BMW E46 325ci coupe. Last year i started a thread about this head unit on XDA. I can comfirm that this radio works flawless after 8 months after that i installed it in my car. I noticed that you forgot to mention some nice features. They added an automatic OTA update function on his head unit, you don't have to download the updates on your pc, unzip it so you can install it on a usb stick, and walk to the car so you can update the head unit. Not enymore with this unit, you can update directly through 4G of the radio, your phone or wifi. And if you got an sms, it appears for more or less 30 second on the screen of the radio. Than the TPMS... You can unscrew the round plastic cap from the sensor and insert a new battery if the old battery is empty after 4 or 5 years, instead that you have to replace the whole sensor. The usb protocol is 2.0 witch is fast compared with usb 1.0 in other head units like the Xtrons. I placed a powerd industrial usb hub with 7 ports in the trunk for the DAB+ (whitch is also in the trunk to avoid interferences near by the head unit or fuse box), the TPMS and a usb stick with music and video's and my resler module that read al the data from the car with the i-bus app. With the latest update you can choose the color and the form of the home screen. This is indeed the best head unit i ever had after 3 previous android head units. The only thing that could be better is customer support. The language is some times a obstacle and if you ask a question it can take a very long time before you get a response. But that's quite common for all those chinese brand/retailers.
I'm looking for a HU for two years, but is there a button to shut the screen while playing music? Is there a possibility to have the name of the radios with RDS? Can we load apk such waze , vlc, N7player, torque or else, easily? I'll check on XDA but my HU is really old in my old porsche cayenne and I'd like to swap it as soon as possible. I forgot, what about consumption? Does it heat much, I'm leaving in a place where summers hit 30 to 40° celsius, and in a black car... you reach easily 60 to 70°. Can we root it, also? Thanks for your review.
Could you please share that xda forum link. And where did you bought it, because on the homepage from teyes only the CC2 models are for the E46 available.
I bought one of these back in March for my Infiniti G37 since it was the only real aftermarket option aside from really ugly, really expensive metra dash kits (because of the way the head unit in the car is integrated, with the screen also displaying your climate controls). The unit has been great for the 10 months I've used it. The stock bluetooth on the car was terribly glitchy and sounded mediocre and through the TEyes has been much better and actually makes the Bose system sound good. I mostly run Android Auto through it but it has been reliable, responsive, and the single best purchase I've made for my car.
@@ayoubfarid1663 Ive sold the car since then but it was awesome the entire time I had it - hands down the best upgrade I did to that car. Sounded great, looked great, worked great
I've compared the reviews and features of multiple different Android-based head units. This includes units from Joying, Teyes, Eonon, Atoto, Elinz, and Kingbeats, to name a few. There are good and bad features with them all. However, I think the Teyes CC3 is the best bang for your buck solution overall. What makes them great is they have many custom-kit solutions for a variety of different vehicles. And the beautifully designed user interface is, in my opinion, a step above the rest.
@@SaabUnleashed of all the headunits that run Android (which I need, not Android auto) do you feel the CC3 is the best no matter the price? My Joying doesn't do well because it's so glossy & the screen is not bright enough to over power the brightness of the sun in my convertible.
I just installed mine this last week. It will boot fast if you allow it to use standby mode at ignition off. This mode can drain your battery if you do not use the car often. I suggest allowing it to totally shut down. Boot time from off is still pretty quick. I must correct you, Android Auto is available wired or wireless.
Apart from the beautiful interface and general smooth usability, what TBH shocked me most was the actual sound quality from the units own amplifier. Blown away at the price (cc2 plus). Also the installed orig 8k raw videos scaled to the HD qled colour screen are georgous looking.
@@SaabUnleashed 9-inch screen here wuth Astra fascia. Its surprising how nuch bigger 2 extra inches can seem. The devices are very well backed up by Co. re software updates, adding new in house apps etc.
Excellent review! Does this unit or the updated CC32K allow for multiple phones to be connected to take calls ? like on most stock vehicle systems you can have phone 1 and phone 2 Does android auto wireless work now ?
Haha Malaysia boleh. I also bought this unit 3years ago when it was first released. Thought it was just average headunit. Never knew it was this good. Now cc3 has released more variants such as 360, 2k, CL. My old cc3 still works fine and still receiving updates
I agree that the design is stellar. What I would love though is if there were and option to mirror the launcher for right wheel drive. I get that you cant move the hardware buttons, but all the launcher shortcuts and app tray being on the left is specifically useful if you're sat on that side. Otherwise, you have to reach across the car to do things. Its turns a small movement you can do at a glance into a large concentrated task.
The Australian store offered a TEYES CC3 Plus Upgrade for $89AUD "Features: 2K Resolution Screen, Improved On-board Microphone" so i ordered the CC3 9" 32GB model along with the upgrade.
You are probably the best source for detailed reviews on android HU with extensive coverage of features and better production values than most other reviews. Well done. The one tip I’d give you is to go beyond descriptors like "amazing” and "awesome” and use some that add information on why you find something amazing (eg dashboard: well organized, customizable, informative but not overloaded). Looking forward to your next upload!
Yes, exactly! well put! You are talking to people who love electronics and just want features and don't care about anything else. But you are also talking to audio files who want to know how these compare to the big brands as far as sound quality goes. This unit should stand out that way obviously with the coax and toslink features or so you would think? But what about Joying and other brands as far as sound quality goes?
WOW!!! That is certainly a nice HU. I had an Eonon in my Mazda 3 a few years ago and wasn't happy with it. The one thing I wish these Android HUs had was the ability to connect to a satellite radio tuner like we have in the USA. That's the only thing that's missing IMO. Thanks for making these review videos. :)
see that's just it! I don't know what I'm giving up? Sirius XM is becoming avail on some of these units that keep the original controller from the car. I want sound quality and I don't mind giving some things up if I have to, but I want to know going into it what I'm sacrificing. some of the new Tesla style units claim you give up no features at all but, do they sound like garbage? what is the build quality like. It's risky to spend the money they want on a piece of junk which can happen with chinese electronics. Thinking about a Mustang 6 Teyes kit?
The hardware is all the same between the Joying and Teyes units. With that said, Teyes has superior customer service and software design compared to Joying, but it comes at a cost.
Would love for you to do a video on Android head units after 3 months, 6 months and 1 year. I've been using several different brands, Atoto being one of my favorites as well as this brand. Issue I've had with 100% of all android head units is after about 6 months up to a year, they become very problematic. Constantly having to restart them or "clear the cache". Always trying to do something because it becomes super sluggish and starts to malfunction. I only use 3 apps, only have 3 apps installed beyond the included apps but it doesn't make a difference. My current head unit has only had Spotify installes. Fantastic performance for the first year. Now acts like a galaxy S3 if being used in 2023. Factory resetting only works for a short period but usually back to issues after only a couple weeks. It seems like the internals of these units are all made by the same factory with the UI made by other people. This is very apparent because you can tell the display panel in most of these brands are use the same design. Which leads me to believe that the internals of these units wear out and breaks down fast.
Another great review! Thanks for making these videos, really helpful for us looking to change our HUs - - how is this compared with the latest Joying with snapdragon?? Cheers! 😀
seems like the teyes unit has more overall features (capacitive buttons, only 360 cam available on the market, better dash cam features). only negative is wired android auto but wireless carplay thankfully. i also noticed joying snapdragon copied their purple blue gradient launcher layout. both still killer value for $, can’t go wrong with either but teyes will win my buy. what are you gonna pick?
I think the Teyes does have more features. I wonder which one really has better sound quality output. I saw that Eonon HUs are running Android 11 and has similar features with Joying and Teyes..... plus they have the oem TOYOTA fit 🙂
Can anyone tell me the voltage output for the rca leads for the amp? Can't seem to find this info. Very important for us guys that can't use optical etc.
I just bought a similar unit but with different branding from Ali Express for a bit cheaper than the CC3. It looks identical to the T'eyes except it's lacking the fan and SPDIF & coax connections (there are holes in the chassis for them though). The performance and functionality are just like explained in the video, and the launcher is very similar allthough slightly modified from the T'eyes. I believe the exact same unit is sold under many different brand names.
The physical shape of the CC3 is shared across multiple brands so that they all fit into car dashboard trims. But the hardware specifications are very different. The Teyes is top of the food chain here
@@SaabUnleashed The one I bought is 4GB RAM, 64 GB storage with an octacore CPU so it is similarily specified. There were even higher specified ones but I opted for the price/performance sweetspot. And it IS very snappy IRL, I have had many Android headunits in the past and this one is really top tier.
@@SaabUnleashed The Store is called BySeven Europe Store (allthough they ship from China) and I bought the Peugeot 407 specific model. If you look at the reviews I posted some pictures and a short review. It's the one with a Swedish flag. :)
Does the volume control on the HU still work (on both this unit and the Joying you previously reviewd) even when outputting via the coaxial or optical output?
Love that these guys do a top mount integration with the 03-09 Legacy/Liberty/Outback. The only other one I'd found was the idoing and the UI here looks a lot better for everyday use. I am curious though, is wireless Android Auto something that can be enabled with a future update or is there a hardware limitation on wired only?
Wireless Android Auto needs the WiFi functionality of the head unit to allow "hotspot" mode, and then you have to have the relevant software installed to enable it
@@andrewjames1801 its a hardware limitation, my guy. either it has it, or it doesnt. or they purposefully left it out so they could sell you a dongle/adapter to complete the package later on. you're comment reminds me of someone asking "where can i go to download more RAM?!?!?!?" lol. no offense, it was just a thought. i may be wrong, but i believe it requires the hardware for wifi direct, like how you would mirror your phone to your smart tv wirelessly. could be wrong, never used android auto before, plus it doesnt have support for YT Music, so i doubt i ever will. good luck to you
Brilliant. The HU is amazing, one of the best I have come across. The review is even better, detailed enough and practically explained. Thank you and looking forward to seeing more.
Amazing review. Very helpful! Did you measure the RCA outputs? I heard that many android Hu preamps are super weak and have not even the advertised voltage let alone anything close to an alpine or pioneer. And does the DSP also affect the digital outputs or are these just line outs? I would love to use the RCA outs with 2 class D amps, but if the power is too low I will need to buy expensive DSP amps with digital inputs or a separate DS to not lose volume. I will try to fit this into my Peugeot 5008 with the 3008 harness and cover.
Did u ever get an answer? It seems that reviewers never test this stuff, your lucky if they even connect up an external amp. If it was me I would upgrade to a dsp amp with toslink in. Then forget about headunit dsp etc. This is the future I think.
The best interface I’ve seen in a long time, thank you for giving us a glimpse, l Would like to know if they have a screen that would fit the Volkswagen caddy 2018 model.
Oh nice it's a real TPMS, not just silly valve caps that leak. Not that I would bother, but it shows they do things properly. Kinda regretting buying a Joying right now lol but I needed the completely removable/remote screen for my use case
I have the Teyes cc3 an awesome unit. The only thing I can't get to work is AM radio I just can't pickup any radio stations even when adding an antenna booster. I can pickup FM just fine. When my car had the original stereo I could pickup AM stations. Now I can find the station on my cell phone and play with Bluetooth but if the internet is down or I dont have a phone I cant.
Hi Stuart, Just wanted to say thank you for the review, head unit arrived last week, I've installed it and it is amazing! I love the teyes vision app, the 'driving' mode, it is so cool! 100% the best head unit on the market.
Bought one of these off the back of this video and it arrived recently. Came with the Peugeot 206 dash plate to fit it but annoyingly the bottom fins on the HU hit the heater controls when fitting it, and with the angle it comes in at, also the fan hits it. I've had to remove the bottom two screws and loosen to top left and right screws to get the fascia to fit on (also meaning the stereo sticks out and angles up). Other than the questionable fitment choice of what seems like an untested dash kit, the actual device is amazing! It runs so well, so smooth and without issues. It instantly worked with all my built in audio controls for the Peugeot, which is just fantastic. One thing I wish was that on the main widget control button on the left of the home page, I wish we could alter apps to appear there. Would be nice to switch between multiple maps like Google Maps and Waze, and stuff like VLC for video playback, instead of the current choice of default Map app, Car Thing, Rear View and DVR. Interestingly setting the map app to VLC or something else allows me to run any app I want in that main top right section on the home screen, just a shame if i want to change it I have to go into the menu each time and set the default map app to something else.
If they don't have your specific vehicle listed just purchased the universal model 2 din! You just need to know if your vehicle used canbus module for steering wheel controls. Steering wheel controls are analog you can wire it into the universal system.
Do you have a spreadsheet of your scores or a roundup somewhere of your current favourite head unit? All of these look good and finding it hard to pick! Thanks for the videos! :)
I love the 5.1 rca outputs, the only player with such setup ( while others in market comes only with 2 channel rca output) .. I got the 4 channels(front n rear) all the way to my 4 channel amp and 1 to my subwoofer.. Everything runs perfectly with 360cam
I would love to see a more detailed review of the navigation and how it works in live use. I have looked everywhere on the internet and can't find anything, and yet this is 70% of what we buy this unit for...
The reason why there is no review of this is because it's not actually needed. This is an Android unit which means there are many variations of navigation you can use - it all depends on what app you install. Google Maps, Waze, TomTom, CoPilot - the list goes on. All of them are different. If you want to test one, install it on your phone and see if you like the interface.
Thank you for the excellent detailed information I think I made my mind for this one, unless you have any other update on choosing another one. I also would like to know what would be your recommendation for a 2016 Toyota Camry, I'm mainly worried for the car integration, I don't to loose my OEM rear camera and also the how it looks once installed, I've seen many units have flaw gaps and not matching colors. Thanks!!!
Hard to believe the unit has no drawbacks, which makes me doubt how unbiased this video actually is. also a lot of essentials features are not mentioned in the video: - does it support RDS? from the video at 11:10 it seems it does not, which is a deal breaker alone - vehicle integration is really much more than volume and track control over the steering buttons. can it control the aircon? can it report vehicle status, such as adblue level and other features available on the stock head unit? - can you connect the stock USB port to the device? or do you need to use its proprietary connector? what is the power output of the USB port? is it enough can it charge a connected phone? - does the display support auto dimming and can it be turned off manually during night driving? these are all things i would rather hear that talking about 5 minutes about that car speed gimmick
Yes it has RDS, it actually goes further that that and is compatible with station artwork. Yes it controls aircon if your car allows it through the CANbus network. It shows open doors, parking sensors, steering wheel alignment when reversing - total advanced CANbus integration. Yes, you can connect the factory USB and no idea on the current output. Screen has auto dimming associated with your headlights and yes, you can turn it off. I explained a few of these things in the video.
Can't wait to buy one of these. I will have to get the CC2 Plus since my car can only fit 7" screen and I don't really want it sitting out of my dash. I'm sure it'll be awesome though.
Hi, I was about to purchase one of these, but I ran into a problem with price. The one I as about to buy was listed for $375, I added to cart, price was still $375, but once I went to check out, the price shot up to $545, and that was not including shipping, shipping was an additional $100 after that. I reached out to the company, but they didn’t answer me on the issue. Did you ya r the same problem when you bought yours?
Hi, fan of your channel! Question for you. I’m looking for the easiest experience installing a teyes or joying double din in a 2007 Honda crv. You mentioned once in a video websites that sell the complete solution including the dash kit and the wiring harness adapter. Can you point me in the right direction as to what reputable sites offer that?
Hi I wanted to ask, with this teyes unit. Did it connect with the back up camera of the car or did you have to purchase a separate camera that just works with the unit?
Nice. I bought Teyes CC3 for my Ford focus mk3 (2012). Can you please upload a video on how to install (connect different cables) Teyes CC3 in Ford focus mk3. Thanks
Hello, i have a grand cherokee overland summit of 2012. I have one question about reverse camera. It's possible connect the factory jeep camera to the cc3? You need a special cable or switch? Thanks!
Excellent reveiw, but I am particularly interested in the FM Radio's RDS functionality ? Does it actually display FM station names ? Same for saved stations, does it display their name or just Frequency ? Finally when Traffic Announcements are enabled does it switch over automatically to Radio, from say Music, to hear them ? Thanks
The Reverse Camera actually comes with this unit. After watching this video I ordered this head unit and a camera. Now I have 2 cameras 😂😂 Asked for a return, they asked me to post it to china. Dont want to spend 20$ to get 30$ back 😂😂 The Unit is indeed the best Andriod Unit.
Hi Old video I know but just wondering do the phone call controls work from the steering wheel ? All so do you any pictures of the reversing camera fitting or of it installed. Great video Thank you
Thanks for the really informative video I've been pondering this headunit for sometime now and thanks to you I feel confident to finally get one! I've seen this advertised on Aliexpress is this a safe place to purchase? My car is a mk3 mondeo which shows a facia panel also I would have considered a Joying headunit based on your reviews but not sure if they do one for my car? Sorry for all the questions but if I could ask one more it would be where do you recommend I purchase one? Thanks again for your brilliant videos 👏👏
So does this unit completely replace the factory system? I’m looking at this for my Benz C350, but I’m not finding out if this unit supports the factory CD player? I’m old school and still like my cds. Also wondering if the COMAND knob works? I love the display, but I’m not certain about loosing the ablility to access the factory setting menu of the Comand system.
Hi, Purchased the Teyes CC3 October 2023 and as you say a beautiful head unit but but having issues and Teyes support seem to be skirting around the issue. Can you please confirm on your unit do the input Volume balancing controls work for Bluetooth, Music, Phone, Navigator etc? mine do not, the only volume slider that works is for the AM / FM radio and with the mobile phone turned up full Bluetooth music is still barely audible. I have sent them many videos as examples showing the issue but not getting very far, do you have the same problem? do you have an idea how to resolve the issue.
I admire your hard work in putting these videos together. Mekebe M6 Pro Plus 8 + 128 for a Hyundai Sonata or YF 2013. The 9.5 Host Device DOESN'T have the proper LOOM and CANBUS to my car, that I can tell. I have MYFIRSTECH IDATALUNK MAESTRO THR-HK5 with the COMPUSTAR DC3 MODULE and an X1 MAX DRONE. They're supposed to talk to the onboard computer or the Obd2, which allows the steering wheel and AC controllers, and everything else in the car to unlock the doors roll down and up windows, and all kinds of other stuff. In theory, do you think this can bypass the standard loom and CANBUS? The big name brands like Kenwood Pioneer Sony use these. The big question would an image show up on this 2k head unit? Unrelated question can Dash cameras display a image on an Android screen? Or will only ADAS DVR cameras display an image on the android screen?
Great video love the review. Based on this I've just ordered one for my fiat Fiorino van. I'm told that it should be plug and play I'm hoping this is the case. I have ordered 2 different head unit a few weeks ago and iv had to send them back because they don't turn on. I think that the wiring was not right for my van. Could you please make a video on wiring harnesses and why they might not work. Thanks for all the video you make.
I have a few Q's about this unit. 1) Where is it made? I keep seeing Russian words on things and the Teyes website list the parts in Russian first. 2) If it's trying to download or do maps, is it relying on your cell phone or do you have a sim card in the back? 3) I already have a factory pioneer amp fitted to my CR-Z. If you use the amp connect wire, does it turn off the internal amp? I don't want to blow the low impedance factory Foster speakers. My son is mental over this unit but I'm a bit sceptical for now. If you buy a vehicle specific model, does it come with the canbus connector or do you have to add it? I must say I'm impressed with their rear camera. I bought a JVC one to go with my Kenwood head unit in my old suv and it had a partial CMOS failure after about 6 months. It doesn't bend the parking lines either. The Kenwood HU is painfully slow to boot up as well.
It's made in China, but perhaps some Russian developers involved in the amazing software it uses. If you want to use it online, you can either install a SIM direct, or connect it to your phone's hotspot. As for your speakers, they are wired to your factory Pioneer amp and an aftermarket head unit isn't going to change that, so the speaker impedance is irrelevant. The head unit will supply audio to the amp and you can control the output level so it's perfect for your car. If you buy one for a specific vehicle, it should include everything you need, including the canbus decoder
@@SaabUnleashed I've been playing email tennis with Dan Teyes. The only issues I have right now are, they don't offer the correct fascia for my Honda CR-Z and I haven't confirmed with him about pre out's. Watching your video again you showed pre out jacks so that makes me happy. I am debating about the idea of running optical out to a dsp to the amp. It all depends on what that adds to the cost. I can get a fascia from Metra so that should take car of that bit. Dan did say that their initial market was the Russian market so hence the cyrilc text. What is the glare like from the screen? That is the one thing I'm concerned about.
@@66meikou hi Patrick, the glare's fine in my opinion. You're always going to get glare on a touch screen, and there is a Teyes specific screen protector that will reduce it further, but you'll always get some glare. If course, the angle in which it is mounted will make all the difference
Great video! Is there a UK based supplier for these units? I'm interested in getting one - online they come from Teyes Au so attract import duties into the UK
The big question I have is canbus related. I don't have a vehicle in their list of available models. If I grab the 2din universal unit, is there a harness (such as Maestro, PAC, etc) that would provide the canbus integration? 2012 Ford F250
Hi SU, Firstly, thank you for such great vids! I have watched sooooo many now! I’ve been looking at my options on the CC3 U, but am now very close to making a purchase. Please could you answer/clarify a few things for me to assist with my purchase decision..... 1) If I am reading the information correctly, the CC3 Universal comes with a reversing camera (I know you can but a higher spec Sony one)? 2) I think I need to select the PQ version of the unit as my car is a 2011 VW Eos. Am I right? I'm not car bits skilled! 3) Do I need to purchase the Cambus for the unit or is that included. If so, I’m not sure if the ISO one is the correct one? The information on this being included on their site isn’t that clear, although it does mention 'support' for the Cambus. Thank you in advance for your help. Best wishes, Kevin
Thinking of buying one of these units from Teyes. Stuck between xtrons and this unit. Who do you think make the better unit? Do you have to pay import customs tax when ordering
I just had a CC3 2k installed. Everything is great, except I have a weird word character glitch when I'm in the menus and the wifi connection to my phones hotspot has a mind of it's own when it wants to connect or not. Still trying to sort that one out. Ended up not using the cable canbus but the tech was still able to get all steering controls working. Also, the mounting kit that comes with the unit from Teyes doesn't hold the unit in-place very well at all, so expect that.
@@ajsfree under Radio when in full screen (at least, on the X1), the very right hand button opens graphics for local radio stations. so you can get radio cover images for each station. if you're talking about the background, on the X1 home screen I click and hold down the screen under the clock and it allows me to choose a wallpaper (background image)
I just want to say thank you for this review im glad i found your channel i just got my teyes in and its damn nice. I love everything about it just that the audio just feels not so rich im still been trying to mess with the settings on that. Is there any backup camera would you recommend ? I bought a 30 dollar one on amazon and it just really crappy.
Thanks for the video. I would like to ask How are you going to connect the optical digital audio to the car. Do you need an expensive amplifier for that? is there a cheap alternative?
Hi mate. On your recommendation I've just ordered this radio from the Australian supplier. Can I ask how long did yours take to arrive in thee UK? Thanks
Hi Saab Unleashed, first of all: thank you for your videos and your reviews - great job! Based upon your installation video for the Jeep Grand Cherokee 2012 Overland, I decided to buy the T’Eyes CC3 and perform the same upgrade, as I do own the exact same car model! Just one question: how did you connect the speakers? I have no sound and still do have that loom with the RCA speaker connectors left over, on the other side the OEM harness from the original stereo is also not connected to the device (ot does not fit in there). I watched your videos approximately 20x, but couldn’t figure it out how you actually did it. 😊 Looking forward to your reply!
Interface looks nice but would be more convenient when you can use your own app in the navigation window instead of just google maps. The new Vivid launcher that Dasaita uses is just the same. Best interface to me would be just always 2/3 navigation and 1/3 music, and some app buttons in the bottom. To bad split screen has to be selected everytime you switch on. That said, this unit is useless to me unfortunately because it doesn't switch on the factory amplifier in my Toyota Corolla JBL (Dasaita does so without issues)
very helpful and informative video from you, because you make so many videos about Android car radio, you could also make a video about this car radio ( Mekede M500s ). and give your opinion on it
I had the unit installed on a chrysler 300C around 18 months ago. I love the unit for it.s features both display and sound. Both the front and back cameras very clear I also have the OBD good. But 3 major problems I am experiencing are the built in mic, radio reception and the main ssue is that the soft touch side buttons do not function. Seems the touch display faulty!
Now that you have had this in your Saab for over a year now, would you still say it's the best Android headunit you have ever seen? - I recently bought the CC3 2K version, and while it's a great headunit, it does have a few bugs (that i'm trying to resolve with T'eyes tech support) but overall, I agree with you. What a superb headunit indeed!
Thank you, great video as always. I would like to know how the audio quality is when you are on a phone call? I read on XDA, that on Bluetooth is too low, and other people complain about other issue on phone calls quality as well. I am planning on buying a Teyes CC3 because my XY Auto YT7260B HU has several issues
I really like the looks of this unit and what it can do but does it come with everything needed for the install? I have a 2018 Toyota RAV4 Limited and want to be sure it comes with everything I need without having to purchase a bunch of other items.
Thanks Stu, unfortunately, I don't think they don’t do a version to fit into my Mercedes 2009 sprinter. I look forward to seeing more reviews. Best wishes M
Looks amazing, very tempted. Can I ask do you purchase them from the Teyes Australia website or from somewhere else? If importing, what is the extra import duty that would roughly be needed? Thanks for the help and excellent channel.
Another amazing review. Is this Teyes cc3 also available in 7 inch double din? Or is the cc2 plus and older only in 7 inch available? I'am looking for a good 7 inch android radio. Maybe there is a other good brand ? can you help me?
Hi. Great video. I have a Teyes CC3 i'm fitting to my facelift 9-3. Did you use the Connects 2 interface to wire up ?. I currently have one fitted to link in my current Sony X-AV unit. Thanks
Could i make a suggestion please....ive been researching replacing the oem sony unit in our smax 2013 and finally landed on a CC3 2k. One thing that seems to be vastly overlooked is if you have audible parking sensors which weve got, or should i say had...now the cc3 is in there are no parking sensors any more - perhaps you could do a video on that and all the pitfalls...so far ive found an aftermarket unit (nice if you could have mentioned that) as thats a further 100 quid and/or i might be able to re enable it in the canbus but teyes have not been very quick with any replies even though ive used their official site and added in my order number so they know ive bought it directly from them....
Great video. I watched several of your videos now and they have been very helpful. I did not hear, or did I miss, the customer support comments. What is it like? I am tempted to buy a 9" universal unit for my 2006 Honda Ridgeline but I know I am probably going to have questions along the way.
If you've installed one head unit you've installed them all, so there's plenty of Support to be had. I've not had to deal with the support teams from a technical perspective so I can't comment I'm afraid, but you can always get help from elsewhere on the internet, there are Facebook groups dedicated to this
It would be great if bluetooth worked, on it. Installed it, scanning finds nothing, not my two phones which can't find it either. So got a big unit without much use since it doesn't have Android auto - thanks Teyes - and it also probably has BT disabled or I got a dud for some reason
Hello from Texas. I love watching your videos and am ready to convert my truck radio unit. I have a 2014 Toyota Tundra can you please send me your recommendation for installation. Michael
Hi Saab I recently got the new Teyes CC3 panel installed on Jeep Grand Cherokee 2011 Limited edition having US specs. Everything seems OK, but the incoming calls on Car play & Bluetooth were not working which was a big disappointment. Not sure if it was something to do with the configuration or installation but tried everything to make it work, yet no success. Would appreciate if you have come across issue similar to one I am facing.
What's the benefit of Optical Toslink out in an android head unit? I have Audison AF M8.12 which has optical in. Does that mean I can connect Head Unit with Optical Out and DSP amplifier with just an optical cable? IF yes, will it be the best connection in terms of Sound quality?
Looking to purchase one of these units for my 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude when I get paid, and your review is making me impatient to buy this. I do have a question though. Will this support my OEM backup camera & OEM Microphone? (And if you don't know for sure, do you know where I can check that?)
Hello. I really liked you're review and was wondering is you can recommend a Teyes unit for my astra j. It has by default a Navi 650 like soany others. Any teyes is compatible with my car? Thank you ❤️
Note for everyone: Android auto for this unit is also wireless! I have just installed one and android auto works completely wireless :)
Thank you! does the stock camera work just connected plug and play?
where did you buy it please ?
Did it come like that delivered or did you need to update it? Where did you buy from?
They all do

Thanks for the added info :)
Can you explain how to update V is OTA, Can't find where that is. do I need to update via OSB first?
Hey I was wondering if you can add radar sensors with the 360 camera pack ?
I bought one of these back in March for my Infiniti G37 since it was the only real aftermarket option aside from really ugly, really expensive metra dash kits (because of the way the head unit in the car is integrated, with the screen also displaying your climate controls). The unit has been great for the 10 months I've used it. The stock bluetooth on the car was terribly glitchy and sounded mediocre and through the TEyes has been much better and actually makes the Bose system sound good. I mostly run Android Auto through it but it has been reliable, responsive, and the single best purchase I've made for my car.
how is the AC/backup cam/ w/ the teyes?
I was also curious about if you lost any stock features and how hard was the install? Want to get one for my G37x
any regrets or complaints with owning this for a while now?
@@ayoubfarid1663 Ive sold the car since then but it was awesome the entire time I had it - hands down the best upgrade I did to that car. Sounded great, looked great, worked great
One of the best reviewer I have come across, explains well and does know what he is up to.
And the beautifully designed user interface is, in my opinion, a step above the rest.
agree
@@SaabUnleashed of all the headunits that run Android (which I need, not Android auto) do you feel the CC3 is the best no matter the price?
My Joying doesn't do well because it's so glossy & the screen is not bright enough to over power the brightness of the sun in my convertible.
I wished that used matte screens & LED panel instead of LCD
I thought that Kingbeats is the cheaper brand of TEYES. The components like the cpu and memory are quit the same
@@SaabUnleashed would you choose new Joying snap dragon or Teyes 10.1 ?? I’m so torn what to do 🤔

Thanks batman ;)
Awesome review and unit. Have been procrastinating for ages on a new unit. This is a winner for sure. And they are in Australia 🤙🤙
I just installed mine this last week. It will boot fast if you allow it to use standby mode at ignition off. This mode can drain your battery if you do not use the car often. I suggest allowing it to totally shut down. Boot time from off is still pretty quick. I must correct you, Android Auto is available wired or wireless.
yeah but carplay wont work on wireless mode, is total trash.
Apart from the beautiful interface and general smooth usability, what TBH shocked me most was the actual sound quality from the units own amplifier. Blown away at the price (cc2 plus). Also the installed orig 8k raw videos scaled to the HD qled colour screen are georgous looking.
Yeah I just installed a CC2 Plus, one of the best 7 inch head units I've seen
@@SaabUnleashed 9-inch screen here wuth Astra fascia. Its surprising how nuch bigger 2 extra inches can seem. The devices are very well backed up by Co. re software updates, adding new in house apps etc.
Excellent review!
Does this unit or the updated CC32K allow for multiple phones to be connected to take calls ? like on most stock vehicle systems you can have phone 1 and phone 2
Does android auto wireless work now ?
works on mine, just installed yesterday and I have a Pixel 7
It pronounced as T-Eyes actually. Nice video btw. Hello from Malaysia 🇲🇾
I agree
Hey, just wondering if this can pair with the stock reverse camera that comes with my car instead of having to purchase a new reverse camera.
Was wondering the same thing as I also have a reverse camera I want to retrofit to the car but not have to mess around with an external camera..
I received mine today after watching this. It took AGES to arrive!
I have this on my FK7. Really awesome compared to the main unit.
hows it working for you now?
Teyes has a 360 camera upgrade for the CC3 6GB Ram/128GB Rom version.
Is this able to retain the factory reverse camera or is the one they offer with the head unit the only option?
Thank you for this video, I acquired a car with this already fitted. I'm amazed by its functionality although I've only had it for a couple of days.
Was your eonon unit with similar spec? 3G ram and 8 core processor?
see that's just it!
Thanks. Carpuride looks like a good option. I will check to see if it can be purchased in Canada.
Between this Teyes and Joying 10.1 units, which one would you say is better?
Maybe do a comparison video please? :)
That's a difficult question. I think it will depend on the car you're putting it into
The hardware is all the same between the Joying and Teyes units.
Cheers! 😀
That's what I want to know
seems like the teyes unit has more overall features (capacitive buttons, only 360 cam available on the market, better dash cam features). only negative is wired android auto but wireless carplay thankfully. i also noticed joying snapdragon copied their purple blue gradient launcher layout. both still killer value for $, can’t go wrong with either but teyes will win my buy. what are you gonna pick?
I think the Teyes does have more features. I wonder which one really has better sound quality output. I saw that Eonon HUs are running Android 11 and has similar features with Joying and Teyes..... plus they have the oem TOYOTA fit 🙂
The 10.2" CC3 universal is only AUD$408 and that is just nuts. Was going to order a Xtrons but the CC3 is twice the spec for the same price!!
There is no comparison between Xtrons and T'eyes. None. The only head unit comparable to this one is the Joying
@@SaabUnleashed I'm convinced!

Wireless Android Auto needs the WiFi functionality of the head unit to allow "hotspot" mode, and then you have to have the relevant software installed to enable it
@@SaabUnleashed Could the WIFI functionality be installed?

Hi Stuart,
Just wanted to say thank you for the review, head unit arrived last week, I've installed it and it is amazing!
The MaxSpeedingRods Q96 has it too
Thank you for the awesome review. This was so informative. I am going to order one for my truck based on your review.
@@SaabUnleashed Ah, I see, thanks Stu..., understood..👍
Thank you for the excellent detailed information I think I made my mind for this one, unless you have any other update on choosing another one. I also would like to know what would be your recommendation for a 2016 Toyota Camry, I'm mainly worried for the car integration, I don't to loose my OEM rear camera and also the how it looks once installed, I've seen many units have flaw gaps and not matching colors. Thanks!!!
Hard to believe the unit has no drawbacks, which makes me doubt how unbiased this video actually is. also a lot of essentials features are not mentioned in the video:
- does it support RDS? from the video at 11:10 it seems it does not, which is a deal breaker alone
- vehicle integration is really much more than volume and track control over the steering buttons. can it control the aircon? can it report vehicle status, such as adblue level and other features available on the stock head unit?
The 2 things missing that I wanted are a video output to a rear screen, and DAB radio. Other than that, it's very good.
Can't wait to buy one of these. I will have to get the CC2 Plus since my car can only fit 7" screen and I don't really want it sitting out of my dash. I'm sure it'll be awesome though.
Looks GREAT. TY for your review and helping us discover what's out there.

Hi, I was about to purchase one of these, but I ran into a problem with price. The one I as about to buy was listed for $375, I added to cart, price was still $375, but once I went to check out, the price shot up to $545, and that was not including shipping, shipping was an additional $100 after that.
Thanks

Great review. Very well explained. Could you give me the direct link to purchase it ?
Or will only ADAS DVR cameras display an image on the android screen?
thanks for review, very well done and clearly commented in any part of the equipment
Hi SU,
Firstly, thank you for such great vids!
Best wishes,
Kevin
I should add, the install was into a 2008 Vellfire AH20
Under radio, you forgot to click the right hand bottom button to download radio cover images. Looks a lot better.
are you referring to the home screen? I was wondering if it could be changed to a different layout/background graphic/logo etc.
@@chimeranzl9147 great, thank you for this info!
I'm running a cc2+ 6gb / 128 version.
Ofc running the cc3 rom by dark mod. There great overall and support them.
Never mind... problem solved! Needed to "turn on" the Amp by connecting the two blue wires, that's all!
Which one did you buy the regular or 2K one? Looks to also get this for my 300
Now that you have had this in your Saab for over a year now, would you still say it's the best Android headunit you have ever seen? - I recently bought the CC3 2K version, and while it's a great headunit, it does have a few bugs (that i'm trying to resolve with T'eyes tech support) but overall, I agree with you. What a superb headunit indeed!
Im thinking of buying the 2k version for my Corolla Hybrid...
Could specify what kind of bugs your having?
I'm sure we can find you one, pop me a picture of your dash to my email
Looks amazing, very tempted. Can I ask do you purchase them from the Teyes Australia website or from somewhere else? If importing, what is the extra import duty that would roughly be needed? Thanks for the help and excellent channel.
You have to get them through that Australian website. They come from China anyway
@@SaabUnleashed Thanks, keep up the great videos
@@SaabUnleashed how long did yours take to get to you ? Just ordered one today and got the dash cam kit.too 👌
@@jamieteasdale2837 2-3 weeks. I have the dash cam too, fitted it in the Jeep, I have one for the Saab to but haven't fitted that one yet
Another amazing review.
Is this Teyes cc3 also available in 7 inch double din?
Or is the cc2 plus and older only in 7 inch available?
I'am looking for a good 7 inch android radio.
Maybe there is a other good brand ? can you help me?
The CC2 Plus is a good 7 inch. I will be reviewing that in about 3 weeks. Otherwise Joying is a good alternative
Michael
Is it possible to change the menu/overall color scheme to something else? Is there a menu function to do this? Thanks, great review.
Hi Saab
I recently got the new Teyes CC3 panel installed on Jeep Grand Cherokee 2011 Limited edition having US specs.
This head unit looks great! Do you know if they are compatible with a Mercedes Sprinter 2014?
Also, where are you based for an installation?
Looking to purchase one of these units for my 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude when I get paid, and your review is making me impatient to buy this. I do have a question though. Will this support my OEM backup camera & OEM Microphone? (And if you don't know for sure, do you know where I can check that?)
Hello. I really liked you're review and was wondering is you can recommend a Teyes unit for my astra j. It has by default a Navi 650 like soany others. Any teyes is compatible with my car? Thank you ❤️
Bruno chegaste a comprar este rádio? Também tenho um Astra J OPC e queria saber se recomendas? Abc
