And you're here for a tournament.
@@jordanalbareed I'm surprised there's no way of boxing the players in, locking the front door, and making them play *forever!!!!!* (Actually, that's sort of what happened to Spiff)
Tables. Tables are made so a person can sit down and do something. Or nothing. Any person can sit at a table, and if the table is large enough, many people. To make jokes, eat a meal, tell stories. Tables are for people to be together and share. And that is why tables are like Spiffing Brit. Grapefruits, postcards, hugs. These are things people share to connect, to come closer. To open up about ideas and things that make us feel alive, like air, ballet, amazing haircuts, weird countries, three-alarm chili, mountains, continents, the Earth, life. Life is beautiful and sad and hopeful and dangerous. So maybe the reason we share so much is because we understand that without sharing, we can't survive. And sharing is tables. (whispers) Spiffing Brit.
Play tables are literally the worst way to make money in the game. Spiff having absolutely no idea how this game works yet speaking about it confidently is very surprising to me, like assuming that things aren’t for sale just because he didn’t set a price on it or that putting cards on the card table would somehow bring more people into the store.
(American here) When you do not set a price for the item, the game sets the value of the item to the current market price in the background. People can and will still buy your products. The main reason you set custom prices is for rounding and preventing pennies from slowing you down. I personally round all of my prices to the nearest 50 cents to eliminate pennies, nickels, and dimes from making the checkout process take longer. Once you are further on in the game, I recommend rounding to the nearest dollar.
Hey Spiff. In a similar vein to this, a game called 'Definitely not fried chicken' is a really cool base building management tycoon sort of game but the theme is you create 'products' of a questionable nature to sell at dummy money laundering businesses. The problem is that corrupt police and rival gangs will demand payment or attack you. I started a Steam guide (which I should probably finish) about how if you don't do what you're supposed to - work your way up from Laundromat to chicken shop etc etc and just skip straight to the end game business, Casino's. You can essentially make good legal money in decent time with no threat of corrupt police or rival gangs (because you're not doing anything illegal or selling on anyone's turf). The game gives you just enough to make a good starter business but you can sort of cheese it and if you have as much patience as in this video you can start a super simple Casino and just wait! Maybe I will go back and finish the guide I was making but as it was a while ago I'm not even sure if this is still a thing you can do. Would love to see the full madness and production value of a genius with enough time on his hands to make silly videos about these sorts of games and see how far you get 😄
@@jacobstujenske3289 Do you open a supermarket and just sell toilet paper? Diversification is making you a lot more money. And if you have customers, you have more people for tables.

9:13 If The Spiffing Brit drank those 100 cups of tea in 5 1/2 hours, or 330 minutes, that means he drank around 0.3 cups per minute(100/330). The average serving of tea has 26 milligrams of caffeine, meaning he drank about 8 milligrams of caffeine per minute(26*0.3). The healthy amount of caffeine for one day is about 400 milligrams, or 0.025 milligrams of caffeine per minute(400/(24*60)). This means that The Spiffing Brit is drinking 320 times the healthy amount of caffeine. I think his descent into madness might not have actually been caused by the game.

Should sell tea on your store😂 this is interesting though because this is a mobile game ive played for a couple years and now its like the same but made like supermarket sim
What so many people don't realize is this is the 3rd evolutions of this game series. It actually started out as a mobile TCG battle game, then became an mobile idle tycoon game (with a sequal) where you managed a card shop and sold the cards, and now this.
Does the game frequently get updated on steam and will it leave early access soon? I've noticed the game has a decent modding scene which is nice and hope keeps up
As a small child I used to save up $5 each week to go to the card shop in the next town over to play in a yu-gi-oh tournament. So, I don't know if this is the intended mechanic, but your target demographic is real lol

gonna be honest i cheated for my blue ribbon on steam 😂 even with cheating it took me 15hrs. pulling the ghost card and filling the 2000 collectables is ridiculous...like its digital lame cards. it would be different if the art was all different, but getting the same picture with just a full image shouldn't be 1/5000 chance lol
I should ask my husband to play this and give his review, since he works at a tcg shop irl lol. Something tells me he's not gonna wanna do his job "for fun" in his off-time though lmao.
I once met someone who brought several massive full "tickle trunks" of cards to a college card game club. He offered to let me take like 800 cards(I believe I took a fraction of that), a fraction of a fraction of one container, from them to start leaning the game. Yup. The several trunks didn't even contain any of his "good" cards.

You would think Spiff would have learned that when the first guy bought a card pack that wasn't priced.
Yeah he didn't do his research. There's 2.5k+ cards in the game. He was only seeing one album because he was t unlocking the destiny cards and probably didn't get ghost cards or know to look to see that they were in another album.
@@lycanthehund6362 Bit of a surprise to see Spiff miss that. He's normally well up on that sort of stuff. There's even an acheivement for collecting 2500 cards, which is a big old clue there's more that 1300.
The slow decent into madness was the single greatest moment of my life in the 19 minutes and 24 second, pip pip my dear sir
Can't wait for the XP level 100 Speed run!
The way you chose to do this is truly baffling and I am amazed and I tip my hat for you good sir!🎩
You, good sir, are a mad man. Putting yourself through such suffering for our entertainment. Go relax, get a nice cup of tea and try not to dream of opening packets of cards.
Love the shade being thrown on another steamer bait game. Funny stuff!
Here’s me waiting for Spiff to drop a MTGA video lmao Love your videos man!
EDIT: Liked the video for Spiff’s sanity. GOOD LUCK
Hi spiff nice to see you again
439k views 22 hours ago. You don't know how long I've been waiting to see you break this game! I figured it could be broken and I'd try myself, and my strategy was going to be just sit at stage 1, so let's see!
I've noticed the game has a decent modding scene which is nice and hope keeps up
Wowza I was a quick😅
Ordered myself one of the *splendid* looking hoodies!
He just said Spiffing Drip. I'm sold, take my money.
This game is like watching paint dry. I laughed so hard Spiff. Holy moly.
As a small child I used to save up $5 each week to go to the card shop in the next town over to play in a yu-gi-oh tournament. So, I don't know if this is the intended mechanic, but your target demographic is real lol
I absolutely did this
14:50 I love the pile of cardboard boxes all over the front of the shop
Strange that you communicate with your OWN WIFE through TH-cam comments.
I've been waiting for this moment since this game came out! I've never clicked on a video so fast haha
96h's and 37m's of in game time played, so us the viewers don't have to subject ourselves to playing this trash of a game. Thanks for your hard work @TheSpiffingBrit for this, yet another highly entertaining video.
gonna be honest i cheated for my blue ribbon on steam 😂 even with cheating it took me 15hrs. pulling the ghost card and filling the 2000 collectables is ridiculous...like its digital lame cards. it would be different if the art was all different, but getting the same picture with just a full image shouldn't be 1/5000 chance lol
The slowly growing pile of boxes in the street was quite a nice touch as you slowly lost your sanity thru the video project 😂😂😂
Early gang!
Me too😂
I should ask my husband to play this and give his review, since he works at a tcg shop irl lol. Something tells me he's not gonna wanna do his job "for fun" in his off-time though lmao.
Video starts at 0:00
Thanks
Spiff: "Who needs this many cards?"
Me: **stares at my MTG crates**
I once met someone who brought several massive full "tickle trunks" of cards to a college card game club. He offered to let me take like 800 cards(I believe I took a fraction of that), a fraction of a fraction of one container, from them to start leaning the game. Yup. The several trunks didn't even contain any of his "good" cards.
First
No I was first... This man IS CLEARLY LYING IN MY TH-cam COMMENT SECTION!
I definitely would have ended up playing this game like this if I played it.. but now I don't have to! Thank you for your sacrifice spiff
