I do think the reason why Bratz had awful fashions in the 2009 to 2019 era is that they tried to appeal to conservative parents and a younger audience especially since the first Mattel vs Mga lawsuit ruling, the Judge ruled in Mattel's favour purely because he thought Bratz was damaging towards girls. I do think that particularly spooked them, but also 2009 ish era fashion also had a more conservative turn from the rest of the 2000s and Bratz was a casualty. It doesn't help that a major breadwinner for MGA was La La Loopsy so Bratz was left to the wolves when Monster High was dominating market share lmao. Also, even though I am millennial I think mainstream millennial fashion was some of the worst fashion mistakes in recent history, and unfortunately Barbie AND bratz were victims of the ugliest clothing trends. Monster High managed to escape most of it by being removed from reality by several layers, but oh I hope millennial fashion leaves fashion dolls sooner than later. With Y2K coming back in Gen Z fashion and a sort of backlash against Millennial conservative fashion and the 80s revival fading out, I do have hope for Bratz when they finally cone back. Also can we talk about the fact that 2009 to 2011 Bratz had the most disgusting quality hair quality lmao.
That judge perish into nothing after he dies. That serve him damn right after what he "thought" his ignorance was right about someone else's creative creations.
I agree 100%. Most of the 2010-11 Bratz had office lady casual fashion, which was at least an adult style then. Scene fashions were old when Monster High used them, by the time Bratz got there in 2012, there was really no fashion left to copy. You can really see where they gave up trying after the early 2012 waves.
The reason Bratz went through a cheap hair phase was due to the never ending telenovela drama between MGA and Mattel. At one point there were 3 factories producing high quality synthetic doll hair. And Mattel, in a petty and desperate attempt to stop Bratz sales. Bought up all the good hair. Leaving MGA to suffer. Classic mean girls, but make it corporate.

I also loved the fashion/makeup stylists, the 3/4 pants and double layered singlets were also VERY in and I like that they gave them this edge that… they were the star but they were self made? I think Bratz inspired a whole generation of girls to do their own makeup and hair and make their own clothes?

The layered looks that are so awful might be a sign of the times. I think most if not all of them came out in the late 2000s and early 2010s when Disney Channel shows were at the height of their popularity and I remember very well that Miley and Selena *always* wore layers upon layers with patterns that didn't make sense but they were still considered the epitome of fashion for little girls. The Bratz were probably trying to mimic that type of look.
Ok but the bartz having jobs would make sense since they would need money for their fashion so Chloe being a “makeup artist” like a Sephora store in a mall
If you get upset by someone else’s opinion on what dolls they like on the comments you need to go back to school and understand it’s okay to not like the same things
At 7:48 I grew up with a lot of Bratz dolls I had the Jade one from this line and the only thing I remember thinking as a kid was the clothing felt really really cheap not typical Bratz doll effort I guess or could have been the one I got at the time I dunno
While I do disagree with you on some of these, I’ll say the majority is spot on. I do like the 2010 party line but after that a lot of the dolls went down in quality and I wasn’t a fan of the tall bratz except for the Sea Stunnerz line. Loved the video! You always have me cracking up!😂Please continue these!💕
😂 I adore you! Don't always agree with you but I looove your honesty as to how you really feel 😂... The original Bratz can't be beaten in my opinion. Fashions were second to none I reckon... I love layering & particularly mismatched patterns, but yeah some of those dolls were pretty bad! 😂💖
I am so happy I grew up with the first generation of Bratz dolls, I was born in 99 and pretty much until 2010 I was gifted Bratz and I remember the last year or so of them being gifted to me, I did not like the quality or looks anymore. Shout out though to when they first came out with Bratz pets I was obsessed and I got all four OG pets styles that I still have, also I LOVED the Bratz kids mermaid collection that was amazing
@@swagbeast7463 I don’t know why I just thought she looked really cute and you can just pair the outfits with different clothing in it actually looks really good, like I absolutely loved her boots and her sneakers like it was such a cute dance look and I love those stools that they came with!
@@swagbeast7463 Definitely and her first outfit kind of reminded me of the outfit that she wears in the camp doll line, which I also really loved as well! Also her cute little pigtails remind me of some of her other hairstyles from both the baby version and grown-up Jade, but I just overall think That her two outfits are super cute and if you don’t like them together, you can always pair them with other stuff which can make them really cute as I personally think that the different pieces of clothing are really cute on their own as well!
I never took to Bratz dolls personally. So I didn't like most of these. Some of the outfits I liked though, the ones with the awful twisty hair had cute clothes.
I remember having a couple of Bratz dolls as a kid in the early 2000s and I think my first two were Yasmin and Jade and I got both of them for my 7th birthday back in 2003, and around this time one of my cousins gave me one of her Sasha dolls because she already had two of the same one and was into Bratz too and collected them, but I also remember years later, I think this was on Christmas in 2009 when I got another Bratz doll I don't remember what her name was but she had some kind of outdoor wildlife outfit with a matching hat and it did not look right on this doll plus her hair was way too long and then days later it got all matted and tangled and I tried brushing it out with the hairbrush she came with and then a real brush but I couldn't untangle it, so I just got some scissors and gave this bratz doll a haircut, I think I cut her hair too short though, and I always wondered why is it that whenever you buy brand new dolls their hair is all nice, silky and straight when you take them out of the box but then after awhile it gets all over the place and is hard to brush and get the tangles out, but that was my least favorite Bratz doll and I hardly ever played with her too, but all of the other ones I had throughout the years were pretty cool and more fashionable. The Bratz wildlife safari line was just terrible to me because most of their outfits had that dingy camouflage pattern and I noticed that they didn't come with very much accessories either, all I remember this doll having in the box was a pair of binoculars a hairbrush and one outfit, these Bratz dolls just weren't very stylish at all
Some of the fashions that are garish were on trend for the time. I think that fact is more upsetting to me than the dolls. Current fashion is the worst parts of the past 4 decades. Bleh.
I know what you mean about the Bratz from around 2014 how they were tacky. Back in the 2000s, their clothes were better. Now days from 20th university, they look way better again. They even brought back their outfits from when they came out.
I would love to have the white-haired Yasmin from the Pink Runway line. She's so different from any other Bratz doll ever made. Lose the vest and the outfit's not bad at all.
As much as I love articulation the 2013-2014 lanky Bratz are not it. 😅 These dolls reminds me of how not cheap dolls used to be, I think the cheapening started mid 2010s judging by the reboot Bratz simpler clothing pieces. 😢 P. S. Kinda surprised you didn't get mobbed by MGA stans in the comments.
It almost seems like bratz is having trouble getting modern fashions, like lol suprise dolls have way better fashions that mimic modern fashions, even the most recent bratz dolls scream 2006 fashions to me
I had the Bratz Head Gamez and I will never forget the wobbling head! 🤣🤣 Although was still one of the greatest gifts I ever received. The popper part for putting the head on was also very fragile so definitely would have broken if over used 😅
I personally like layers in fashion but I think I can agree with you for most of these. That being said I was unfortunately never a Bratz fan, as a child their feet were just the worst thing ever because they were so easy to lose and then they were so darn creepy without them. We had a few growing up but I think I lost all of them when my dad past away (when I was 12) so I can't remember what lines they were, one had a huge movie camera I think
What's so wild about seeing these ugly Bratz dolls is that their styling and fashion is sooo date you can tell what year they came out, which is funny because before the blow up with Mattel, i feel as if their clothing was super timeless. Like Bratz never COPIED on trend styling really, they took inspo but always made it their own. While having legit STYLE. I also loved how they always ran with a great THEME back then. I don't understand the mentality of throwing everything at the wall when it comes to fashion with certain dolls. It never reads well.
The study abroad line had potential and I'm so mad that it had to be 2015 that was used. I would have loved to see like a High Fashion travel out for the study abroad line. If there is one line from the 2015 dolls that I think deserve a better redo. It's that line
If I had to pick a worst Bratz doll. It would have to be The Girlz Really Rock line especially the Jade, but only because they are so HARD to dress in other clothes as only certain colors look good on them. Also the Jade literally has the same exact face print as Play Sports & Sweethearts Lilee.
I do agree with him but I guest the issue on the Bratz gamez is just the head that has no many body to be put on makes me trigger but over all they're beautiful
I’m embarrassed, because I bought the whole dance crewz line (as of now the only full line I have along with the 20th anniversary) in box months ago SOLEY to get the Sasha one which was very hard to find, but she was always a favorite of mine as I had her as a kid and was desperate to have her again, she definitely wins the line, I even really like the Jade (though the hair could’ve used a little bit of better styling lol) but I agree it’s definitely a weaker line, Yasmin is tolerable sort of, not my favorite, but I HEAVILY dislike the Cloe doll, terrible screening, hair and clothes, I dislike her so much I regret taking her out of box cause I may rehome her LOL Though I must add, they actually did not come with the hats! I’m not sure if that was a decision made later or only used in the promotional photos.
maybe you could put the cloe in her second outfit? i think the second one is way better than the gross first one. also i really like both sasha and jade, you're not the only one :)
I think MGA's love of leg and arm warmers came from the cheapness. They must be the smallest and fastest piece of clothing to manufacture. It probably appeals to parents who simply want the largest pile of stuff for their money, regardless of quality.
@1:03 The career line fashion is definitely off. Why is Sasha (also why is her skin lighter?!) a fashion designer and Yasmin is a DJ?! Each 4 already had a hobby from the very beginning. Yasmin loves writing and journalism, Cloe is the sporty type and is very dramatic, Jade stays up with the fashion trends and loves designing clothes, and Sasha is into music and she's the one that's in charge with projects as she's very organized.
Loveeeed it!! We agree in some of them, Pixlz quite enjoys the 2015 because they were their firsts, but yes, specially 2010 was not a great era…Pleasee more videos like this!! Maybe a monster high? :P
Man , I haven't had any Bratz in what feels like Centuries. Just from the pic alone I disagree that the clothes are hideous. I might change my mind once I finally have some of the newer versions in my collection. I am a bit stressed out because I don't know / remember if me or my father moved my old Bratz. I am full of hope that I did and just forgot where the hades I put them / what I did with them. I love leg warmers , now shoulder pads on the other hand...
Those Bratz careers don't even match existing lore. Why is Yasmin a DJ when Sasha is supposed to be the musical one?
Sasha - dj
Yasmin - writer/film
Jade - fashion design
Cloe - actress/sporty
Also Shasha is the desinger when Jade has always been the fashion Creator
It was literally in the series that music and dancing was Sasha's passion

I think most if not all of them came out in the late 2000s and early 2010s when Disney Channel shows were at the height of their popularity and I remember very well that Miley and Selena *always* wore layers upon layers with patterns that didn't make sense but they were still considered the epitome of fashion for little girls. The Bratz were probably trying to mimic that type of look.
this will make Bratz fashion designers not ever listen to karens again
Ok but the bartz having jobs would make sense since they would need money for their fashion so Chloe being a “makeup artist” like a Sephora store in a mall
If you get upset by someone else’s opinion on what dolls they like on the comments you need to go back to school and understand it’s okay to not like the same things
I personally love the twisted hair braid ones I want them they r so cute
I love bratz study abroad..
So many have 2010s Disney Channel lead character style vibes
I would buy them based on the make-up only cause i would give away the clothes (i was picky about clothes )
I’m sorry to say that I actually had the dance Jade and I really love her outfit!
i love her too! she's definitely miles better than the rest of the dance crewz. i dont mind sasha either actually
@@swagbeast7463 I don’t know why I just thought she looked really cute and you can just pair the outfits with different clothing in it actually looks really good, like I absolutely loved her boots and her sneakers like it was such a cute dance look and I love those stools that they came with!
@@AshleysAdvice i think her pink hair streaks and skirt are super cute too!
@@AshleysAdvice yeah i totally agree! do you still have your jade or did you have her as a kid?
Please tell us about your least favorite Monsterhigh dolls !
the dance crewz line looks exactly like something PCD and Girlicious would have worn lol
I never took to Bratz dolls personally. So I didn't like most of these. Some of the outfits I liked though, the ones with the awful twisty hair had cute clothes.
They’re meeeaaaAAAnt to be dancers... lmfao I died 😭😭
The neon line Chloe seems to have same jeans as the My Passion Chloe!
The jade doll on the worst ones is like really cool tho
The Bratz wildlife safari line was just terrible to me because most of their outfits had that dingy camouflage pattern and I noticed that they didn't come with very much accessories either, all I remember this doll having in the box was a pair of binoculars a hairbrush and one outfit, these Bratz dolls just weren't very stylish at all
Did you buy the 20th anniv bratz ?or the collab gsdc is gorgeous.
Some of the fashions that are garish were on trend for the time. I think that fact is more upsetting to me than the dolls. Current fashion is the worst parts of the past 4 decades. Bleh.
bratz downfall was when they stopped dressing them realistically and started dressing more costumy
The idea of the icon dolls is a cool idea but lord almighty the execution wasn't good
I won't tolerate 2010 anniversary slander🤬
can you make another one of these videos 🙂
i actually like the mom doll for sasha , she looks kinda cute , maybe its cuz we dont see a lot of bratz dolls with shorter hair
As much as I love articulation the 2013-2014 lanky Bratz are not it. 😅 These dolls reminds me of how not cheap dolls used to be, I think the cheapening started mid 2010s judging by the reboot Bratz simpler clothing pieces. 😢
P. S. Kinda surprised you didn't get mobbed by MGA stans in the comments.
Some of the outfits with lots of layers or toile, leather etc, remind me of the Pussycat Dolls outfits in the Don’t Cha video
The ones with the braids genuinely look like a Cybergoth inspired look lol
the cloe dancer doll is giving Britney freakshow era
Yeah those last ones wore very strange looking outfits. 😕
It almost seems like bratz is having trouble getting modern fashions, like lol suprise dolls have way better fashions that mimic modern fashions, even the most recent bratz dolls scream 2006 fashions to me
you gotta do Monster High!
Wonderful
Video!! Missed you
I love like half of these I personally don’t get the beef with layers 😭
Some Bratz outfits are just bizarre! But A+ for detail. Show us more of your new setup and current organization! 💕 Xoxo B
Also I find the study abroad dolls so UNINSPIRED especially when you remember Bratz "Tokyo A Go Go" and "Pretty n Punk" lines
Jade was the only cute dance line doll the rest were not that impressive
I now
I do agree with him but I guest the issue on the Bratz gamez is just the head that has no many body to be put on makes me trigger but over all they're beautiful
Youre insane!! Or maybe I am? I personally LOVE Chloe's Twisted Hairline look. The others are odd yes but idk why Chloe's look captivates me.
I’m embarrassed, because I bought the whole dance crewz line (as of now the only full line I have along with the 20th anniversary) in box months ago SOLEY to get the Sasha one which was very hard to find, but she was always a favorite of mine as I had her as a kid and was desperate to have her again, she definitely wins the line, I even really like the Jade (though the hair could’ve used a little bit of better styling lol) but I agree it’s definitely a weaker line, Yasmin is tolerable sort of, not my favorite, but I HEAVILY dislike the Cloe doll, terrible screening, hair and clothes, I dislike her so much I regret taking her out of box cause I may rehome her LOL
Though I must add, they actually did not come with the hats! I’m not sure if that was a decision made later or only used in the promotional photos.
maybe you could put the cloe in her second outfit? i think the second one is way better than the gross first one. also i really like both sasha and jade, you're not the only one :)
They're still cute, like even them missing the mark a bit is still far from what any of what Barbie is doing right now
I think MGA's love of leg and arm warmers came from the cheapness. They must be the smallest and fastest piece of clothing to manufacture. It probably appeals to parents who simply want the largest pile of stuff for their money, regardless of quality.
Some of them really look like harajuku fashion on Bratz, so I love them.
Damn tearing these girls' clothes to shreds and here I am thinking they're way more fashionable than outfits of my favorite girls in gacha games.
Dance Crewz Sasha is awesome for her afro alone!
Can you do the worst Bratz dolls lines like Bratz babyz
Legwarmers are ok in winter fashion!
Loveeeed it!! We agree in some of them, Pixlz quite enjoys the 2015 because they were their firsts, but yes, specially 2010 was not a great era…Pleasee more videos like this!! Maybe a monster high? :P
Me seeing the picture: Those look nice
Beauty inside a box 2 seconds later: they're ugly
Me: uh ok
I love the mom collection omg
honestly most of the dolls in this video i really liked, the 1:02 dolls look very 2010ish so it's nostalgic for me as a early 2010s child
