Walkway theme from DKC1 in pristine studio quality. This was made possible by locating the sounds from workstation keyboards and drum machines such as the Korg Wavestation, Roland S770, and Roland R8, and plugging them into the music instruction data ripped from the game, plus a little mixing magic to create might have sounded like with the veil of 16bit compression lifted. 0:00 Intro, you get to know how busy life in mines is. (Just a few sounds with some simple, almost non-existent chord progression)
0:26 You feel how sacrificed it is, how sad is to be far away from family and friends (Melody here introduces the "story", the chord progression changes into a diminished one)
0:54 This is the uncertainty of the future and destiny. (No chord progression)
1:01 Expectations from your sacrifices when you see yourself progressing or some changes (no chord progression and a pedal double quaver)
1:11 (My favourite Chris progression) You ascend into glory. (Very bright chord progression and the quaver motif gets to "move" from its pedal alongside with the progression)
1:24 The same melody from the beggining repeats, but now it feels so powerful, and all the sacrifices worth it (the same melody with the bright chord progression and the quaver motif following)
1:55 Fade out and waking up to reality. (No chord progression and instruments slowly disappearing)
Finally you know that sacrifice will always worth it for your dreams.

Always thought this level was an abandoned circus with all those leftover trapezes, & then the midway star barrel with colorful stars once you hit it helped.
My God, the nostalgia is so real with this song. It's unfortunate that it only played in crappy levels.

Ah memories donkey kong country series character and story late 90s 26 year later ago we got 3 donkey kong games UK famicom SNES USA so childhood most perfection rareware and nintendo series and soundtrack CD music thank you my honor.
I fondly remember playing Donkey Kong Country and I still play it for old times sake on a ZSNES emulator. Lately however, whenever I play a level with this music, usually the ones when you wait on a floating platform, I repeatedly tap down on the D-pad to make Donkey Kong do his smooth little crouch animation and make it look like he's dancing to pass the time waiting on the platform. I call that "dance" the #DonkeyKrump.
Any of you guys ever find yourself doing the #DonkeyKrump in this game?

Am astonished how we did missed sooo much from the real thing.
Just when you throught that you heard those songs from the original source and that they couldn’t be any better.
(also since nintendo claimed that the snes could do “super digital stereo sound just as crystall clear as a CD) but then once you read about the true technical specs of the snes and how much trade offs are required to get those sounds from a keyboard or microphone into the snes, then you realize ghat you were actually fooled by nintendo itself with such bullclaims.
I love how this song is used throughout the game. In world 2 it involves a sense of mystery and adventure but takes a backseat at the end of world 3 to insinuate that the game is no longer gonna hold punches. For the entirety of worlds 4 and 5 the music and atmosphere make you feel hopeless, but at the last level of world 5 this plays involving hope. This is the most used song in the the final world. I think This is because the song changes in meaning. instead of mystery the melody at 0:26 now drives you to make the final push in you journey after going through so much turbulence. in my opinion best song in dkc. So few soundtracks can involve perfectly the different emotions the player is feeling on their journey.

Have you tried Tropical Freeze yet? That games score is composed by the same guy who did the 90s dk games. Highly recommend it.
@@Dacstunes I have, but to me, I just love the nostalgia I got from playing them from my childhood. I especially love DKC2 not just for the score and darker theme, but because it was literally one of my most favorite games I had on SNES. Top 3 if I'm honest. In case you're curious, Super Mario World and Star Fox are my other picks.

El sountrack del mar y el de las espinas y la abeja en el DK 2 son las que más me gustan.
