- I've managed to find most of what I need to do this service, just gotta recondition a few parts myself (not hard)
it already has new drive shafts, tie rod ends, recent brake hoses, new dissy cap and leads etc..
Not sure if Brad has one but I've used a simple tool which simply screws in place of the spark plug and you pressurise the cylinder with the piston set to the top. You can then remove the valve retainer and spring and replace the valve guide seal. All without removing the head. Just make sure the piston is DTC so if you lose pressure the valve does not drop. The head gasket for my car is very expensive and a lot of work to change so this trick works really well.
That was a gorgeous spider. To bad you thought you had to kill it.When I was living in Florida we had Brown Recluse real bad.So we bought a chicken from a roadside vendor. He was a Black Polish named Brian,He trained up very easy. Thought he was a dog,They are great for getting rid of pests.Spiders, Roaches and Snakes.Would also let you know when a Gator was in the yard.
its still registered in my lady friends name (same lady who gave me boxes of PC bits and the RADEON 59-70) she don't mind me having it in her name for a while anyway. but I will transfer as soon as I get RWC
nah, I am doing this myself
not sure if I want to take it on the highway around here!
Nice little car, wonder if you could make a gasket for the inspection plate.
Well worth keeping as a short distance run about, good on fuel as well ;-)
Hydrogen is a bit impractical IMO, LPG would be a good option tho, assuming it stays cheap
Very nice! For some reason my 97 Renault Clio has all original engine mounts but the one near the timing belt (the same you have to change) is made with a vertical rubber mount instead of horizontal and looks is better shape!
But that Micra engine is a non-interference one?
I must say dat any time I'm having a problem. u guys really help me out. 10 out of 10.
MMmm, if the turbo kit is cheap enough I would go for it, the engine looks ok inside
love the little micra, Ed :) will you be spraying the bonnet yourself?
Carburetor cleaner also kills bugs fast, I've gotten several wasps and black widow spiders with carb cleaner.
Once ya' get the forced induction itch, it's hard to get rid of it, especially if you have a big turbo or three lying around...
Also curious as to what kind of de-greaser are you using?
yeh unfortunately thats one of the things with forced induction, need more fuel for the more air!, tho I can bolt on a larger throttle body/MAF assembly from a similar Nissan engine
I love driving a manual personally. Much more fun. I've driven an Auto a little bit and they're okay but they never change when I want them too and I'd probably drive them with two feet.
I use Motortech spray packs
Mmmm, well I do have a OEM Garret Variable Vane turbo from a Peugeot here :D
It it's worth registering, maybe a good paint job will really bring out the shine :)
Ed are you registering this to save on fuel costs of driving the falcon around?
I just use 1 foot on my automatic. I'm not really coordinated enough to drive a stick, and its a pain in the city traffic.
I learnt to drive in one of those. Didn't like it :)
Then I passed my test and got to drive my mum's Fiat Uno which was so old it had a manual choke and took some convincing to start in winter :)
I was only half-serious anyways. Turbos are real fiddly and annoying to setup if it's your daily driver. we've been going at this truck for over a year now. One thing after another. Install larger injectors, now the fuel pump can't keep up. Install new fuel pump, now the MAF is maxing out, get bigger MAF and now you rebuild the entire tune in the computer.
Are you going to bring that car to Brads like you did the Ford?
These have a habit of turning pink in the UK so I'm not surprised the Aussie sun has had its way with the bonnet...
great video i already know alot about engines but im 15 and i dont know much about cars so i think im gunna get one of these haha
you gonna drive it or sell it?
we had a Nissan altima that got 12 miles to the gallon
hey can you show me how to change the radio on as i have the 1995 radio but it only has a tape deck thx
180k? That's it? We're running 7PSI of boost on a 260k V8, hasn't blown up yet! Plus the boost will keep that pesky oil up in the valve stem seals!
I wonder how that venomous spider liked the venomous brake cleaner?
I suspect the score is brake cleaner 1, spider 0.
we have a 11 year old hd plasma and when you put it on prime it sound like lighting when it gos crack
I wish Nissan sold the Micra in the US. I would love to have a K10 March Super Turbo.
what on earth?
It looks so similar to a Geo Metro
love micra`s :)
chain driven cams ftw! So much better than weakass belts.
12p should fix that mate . box off matches
burn $2000 profit, no thanks :p. car is sold now.
lol yea right
Stephen Gray
since you speak of pence, not cents, i am guessing small cars are not worth anything where you are :p, shame really, they sell for more than what I pay for big cars here ($900 more and I got an ML270)
i have a smaller rad then that on my 2.0 Turbo Hyundai runs at 92..
The fan in my car sounds like a shredder
I dont know but i like nissan micra k11
until they stretch and skip a tooth. or two. gear-driven cams aren't even worry-free.
I love autos but my eye site is not that good and I am only 17
Hear, hear.
maybe mod the other ford, maybe convert it into a hydrogen guzzler
Nelson could get it straight. NELSON
You should totally paint the rocker cover red. Then you could tell stupid people that don't know better you swapped in an SR20.
LOL
