    Oh, Lord!! These videos make me want to go there and work on those fields. Nothing more satisfying than watching this. Respect from Brazil!!

    Now that's some impressive shooting, straight backwards over the tractor and into the trailer behind!

    Love your videos Mike . The tractor with no front wheel assist looked odd until I took a better look at it Thank you for your videos . I like all your videos but chopping silage is one of my favorites .

    Great footage Mike! Enjoy all the angles and shots you get out in the field and back at the bunk. You’re a Pro!! Thanks again!

    Glad to see they cut their corn fairly short, some farms seem to cut it two feet high. Maybe better nutrition but leaves a lot of tonnage in the field. My Dad always said “ an inch on the bottom equals a foot extra foot on top”. That was when we were filling uprights. Also surprised they do use bunker walls to get more capacity on same square footage of floor. Great videos.

    Those big 7 series two wheel drive tractors just look alien like with the small front ends. I guess if you don't need the front wheel assist, no sense in spending the extra $$$. Nice videos, Mike!

    Hi Mike, watching your videos from liverpool England, this stuff is so interesting. Is the corn silage just unripe corn?

  • @SlipShodBob
    @SlipShodBob 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    It still seem odd seeing so many high horsepower 2wd tractors especially and duals rather than ones with front wheel assist and wide singular tyres like the LSWs. I know a lot of it is down to where the a lot is row cropped where the only crops here sown by precision planters are basically vegetables, beets and maize along with the simplicity of 2wd but it still seems odd

    How many days to harvest that field ?

  • @frank64409
    @frank64409 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well Mike, I have ask this before with no answer. So I'll ask again. Does the swirling of the cornstalks as they are cut have any effect on the operator watching hour after hour? It looks to me that it may have a hypnotizing effect.

      this was shot at our farm and we own everything that you see other than the 8130 with a silage blade and and the meyer rt220 wagon we rent from our cousins and than my family runs the chopper three wagons and two guys run the two tractors that are on the pile

    City slicker here, cant they put a larger head on that harvester so they don't have to make so many passes?

    • @falcon9158
      @falcon9158 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Larger head needs more horsepower.

    • @Jaxon-iu6vb
      @Jaxon-iu6vb 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      it could handle a larger head but the limiting factor with the head on it is hp. A bigger head would just mean a slower speed but the same acres an hour

    • @trtj200
      @trtj200 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That chopper close to 800hp takes a lot of power to chop forage especially corn.
