PT1 How to MACHINE WET SAND car paint to remove water spots / INTRO / PREP

I did this video on August 22 2022. Life gets busy, as I'm sitting here it's May 15th 2023 and I'm going to try and get the part 2 filmed with the water spots on the hood for 9 months. I'm excited to try out some water spot remover chemicals and FINALLY try out machine wet sanding.
Here I'm starting this video series by using my city water out of the hose. I will let it run for about 30 seconds, before spraying the hood just to clear out any hose remnant debris. I have approximately 250 TDS in my city water and it makes for very annoying water spot problems.. This has led me to using rinceless cleaners like ONR or lately Feynlab with distilled water the majority of the time and also looking into getting an RO resin system. Now I'm going to make a lot of heavy water spotting baked in the Sun for 30 days consecutively and then in certain sections of the hood I will use some water spot chemicals just to see how well they do. I bought some interface pads and a variety of sandpaper in 5-in and 3-in discs and I will be wet sanding using different polishers on this hood to polish out water spots and see how much clear coat I can leave behind. I will be mapping the thickness of the paint, using a paint depth gauge throughout the process.
