    The foam cannon treatment is meant to pull off the basic dirt and more importantly provide lube for the agitation step. There is still a place for pretreatment of road film using dark fury/road warrior but in your case a good foam cannon treatment on top of your apc application would have helped to pull of the grass off the paint. At the end of the day you will still have to hand wash to remove everything from a car that dirty

    Does this damage the polisher?

    • @deluxevehicledetailingandp904
      @deluxevehicledetailingandp904 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well this was just an old cheap Harbor Freight polisher that had an issue with the speed control. The nice thing about using a dual action polisher is that you can set it on a fairly low speed setting and then basically it just stalls and vibrates which is what you want. I've been using the same polisher for doing this job for about 3 or 4 years and it still works perfectly. Remember you're using this just for a minute or so on each section of the carpet. Also it can get hot if stalling for too long and can damage certain types of "felty" type of carpet like in Toyotas/Hondas. I turn it off and unstick the velcro from the carpet and move it into a different area so I don't stay in the same exact spot too long. Hope this helps let me know how you did

      While a magic eraser will work it is the equivalency of 5,000 grit sandpaper so you do need to be very careful. WD-40 being an oil creates a mess and personally I don't like using it. These three products rinse and wash away quite easily.

    • @deluxevehicledetailingandp904
      @deluxevehicledetailingandp904 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it's chalky, it needs polished lightly to remove that chalky ( oxidized ) layer. If you don't wax/seal your trailer, this will keep happening. Wax at least once a month, using a sealant will give you several months, professional ceramic coating will give you years of protection.

    Is Sonax Perfect Finish technically a polish? My understanding is that the abrasives in any polish would strip off the coating or at least the hydrophobic layer of the coating. It looks like the official Sonax site calls Perfect Finish a 'medium-cut polish' which sounds a bit abrasive. I know that many have recommended Carpro Essence Plus for rejuvenating a ceramic coating since it fills in the scratches vs removing them. Just trying to see what's out there in terms of improving my Xpel ceramic coating : )

    • @deluxevehicledetailingandp904
      @deluxevehicledetailingandp904 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it's a medium polish. It's an abrasive like all polishes. It's will degrade/strip off a coating. Carpro Essence Plus would help fill in the scratches and you could give it try. Not sure if it's compatible with Xpel. Personally I've not used CE+ but it is a short term fix, but it's a not a permanent solution. Let me know how it goes ? Were the scratches from your wash methods or from something actually damaging the surface. CE+ will only fill in VERY light marring to my understanding.

    I see all these videos on RV's but I have a white car and my hood has very similar looking black streaks all over the hood. Its not dots, its black streaks just like what you got on the RV. Can i use this stuff on my car? Will it damage my car paint? Thank you soooo much in advance.

      Yeah this trailer does not have clear coat. This whole process is too aggressive for car paint. What caused the black streaks on your car? If you can post some pictures that would be great. Pick up some Schaffer's Citrol 266, try that to remove the streaks and you may have to use a clay bar also.

    I purchased a used one as the piece is a bit pricey, but the machine th-cam.com/users/postUgkxG6fbm3cHBd7CNTjk5D-dwYe9c9tCB9ZN has surpassed my expectations. We sand small parts by hand often, sized around 1"x1/2," and specifically look for a piece that's designed to be vertical. The motor has plenty of torque and great speed settings. The only inconvenience I had is that the disk measures 5" where we trim 6" stick-and-sand disks down easily by mounting it then cutting with a box cutter.

    Is this going to damage the car paint? Thanks

      I've used this many times and anything you get on the paint you do want a very carefully remove with like a rinceless wash method. Spray it down with a pump sprayer, carefully wipe with a soaked and then dry. It is abrasive so you do want to be careful but I have had zero problems

    nice video - can this be used on perforated light grey Mulan leather(2016 Vette)? also is there UV protection in this product - tks

    • @deluxevehicledetailingandp904
      @deluxevehicledetailingandp904 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it can be used, as any COULD be used. Heaven For Leather is a great leather cleaner/conditioner all in one. I still use HFL as a midtier product on clients cars. It has no UV protection. What I use on ALL my personal car interior surfaces of my convertible is 303 Aerospace Protectant. It does have UV protection and is an amazing product. If you get it follow the directions. A little goes a long way and it needs to be buffed into whatever surface it's being applied to. It takes a bit more time to appy and I charge more for it on special cars. Leatherique is a 2 step lite restoration product that is top tier. It takes 2 days to do a car and I charge accordingly, but it softens leather amazingly and cleans deeply. All modern leather seats in cars are plastic coated, aside from a coupe years and models of like Ford Lariat Ed along with a few others. Those use natural leather and need special care. DO NOT spray any cleaners / conditioners into perforated seats. Spray LIGHTLY into a microfiber towel. Let it soak into the towel a bit. Less is more. Add a little more to the towel as you go. If you see product filling to the holes, you're using too much. Both HFL and 303 are nice in that they have the consistency of water. So they are easy to work with. UNLIKE those thick creamy leather conditioners on the market. Those are a nightmare on perforated seats. Hope this helps, JJ

      It's an amazing, easy to use product AND it's fine to use in the heat and humidity. The gloss is insane, my upcoming video highlights this on a metallic black Range Rover.

    How much you charge to clean a car with a lot of sand

    • @deluxevehicledetailingandp904
      @deluxevehicledetailingandp904 ปีที่แล้ว

      Firstly, the size of the vehicle matters. What work the client is paying for matters. The severity and amount of sand would matter. All my work has 3 pricing tiers. 1) Daily driver 2) Enthusiast 3) Show Car Depending on the type of car and type of client I'm price quoting. Typically I would add $50.00 to a Daily Driver with an average amount of sand throughout the cabin of a sedan sized car. Good question ! Are you in my area and need sand removal ? Are you going to try my technique yourself ?

      @@deluxevehicledetailingandp904 I own my own detailing business kinda new trying to set my own prices and stuff and I think I undercharged for a job. There’s a Honda Fit I have to detail that just got back from the beach I’m doing a full interior clean and it has plenty of sand and I charged $75 🤦🏾‍♂️
