@@amnakhan4418 he’s had around 30 hours of lessons and was interrupted during lockdown so that set him back, he’s progressing the same as most people in my opinion.
@@amnakhan4418 There are no timetables to know when you should be able to "master" driving, not everybody everyday and others have other priorities in life other than driving.
On the getting out of the car to check: When I did a mock test, we were performing the old three point turn, and I was a touch heavy on the brakes during a reversing segment. I could tell what my instructor thought had happened. I asked if she would like to check my position, saying (paraphrased, because this was years ago) I didn't hit that kerb, but I know it felt like I did. She was very surprised, because the sudden stop had convinced her that I had hit the curb. As I recall she put that down as a minor for vehicle control. Now, the two lessons for students taking their test that come from this. One: if you are certain that something had not happened, but circumstances would lead the examiner to think it has, ask them if they want to check. The wheel may be just inside the line (for older fans there is a tennis joke to be made here), or maybe you didn't hit the kerb. Better to get a mark for being a little heavy handed with the controls, than a mistaken belief you did something dangerous. Two: You can ask the instructor for a redo. Examiners tend (this may depend on how good their mood is on any given day) to be a little more lenient during manoeuvres than regular driving. If you hit the kerb driving down the high street, you can expect to need to rebook a test. On the other hand, if you are doing your parallel park carefully, with control, and accidentally bump into the kerb, all may not be lost. Acknowledge your mistake, and ask if you may attempt the manoeuvre again. A simple "I'm sorry, I have touched the kerb. May I attempt this manoeuvre again, please?" Can go a long way with an instructor. Show that you are composed, and aware of what is happening around you, and the examiner is at liberty to use their discretion. ENSURE that you reposition safely if given the go ahead. Do your checks, because if you do something dangerous when starting the manoeuvre again, it will be held against you, but take your time and remain calm. It is surprising to many just how much can be salvaged. I know a person who redid their reverse parallel park several times because they kept hitting the kerb. They performed the manoeuvre carefully, using the slow and steady "pound up, pound down" on the clutch method, and acknowledged the kerb hit each time when asking if they could reattempt the manoeuvre. They passed that test. You don't have to be perfect, but sometimes you do have to let your examiner know you are aware of what is going on around you, and that you know when you have made an error.

People should never overtake a learner car and cut infront like that. Brendon needs more practice, as once he does not have pin in the car, it would really feel different .
For some reason when students are doing the reverse bay parking or any kind of bay parking they don't use the lines of the other bays to line up their car. In most situations the bays in front and behind your one are in line so use these lines as a rough guide if your own car is straight. Works almost every time and the only reason I say almost is because someone would say they knew a carpark with wonky lines if I said all. lol

Stay calm Brandon! You did well. First time is not easy. You will get your driving license soon but it will be a sad time not seeing you on the channel. ☺😫 Hi from Sweden 😁
Hej
I just wanted to say I passed my test today , thanks for your videos, they are really helpful
Pin, I bought your ultimate driving course and watched loads of your videos as well as my other peoples and I passed my driving test the other day first time with 0 minors. Thank you so much for all of your great content you helped me out massively!
What why, I must know! I’m so tempted to take a mock test with you, but I’m also equally worried about failing!🙈
Trust me he tries his best to not pass people on his channel. Unless your a really lucky charm he’ll fail you most likely.
As the old saying goes...."you only truly fail when you quit!"
12:43 dude could have whacked it in neutral and could have chilled. crazy the little things you learn when you have ur license
Most instructors advise against that so that you’re ready when you need to set off. Mine does atleast
@@pugsterjosh7925 you have enough time to set off when you see the lights turn amber
@@iamatwat6386 I suppose if you’re a few cars back but when you’re first it could cause some learners to rush and stall cause they’re scared of holding traffic up
@@pugsterjosh7925 like i said, once u pass u pick up on tricks. i don’t expect learners to do it lmao
Iv had weeks off due to my instructor not having a car for while 🙈
I started around the same time as Brandon…. This was amazing to see!!! You are doing awesome. I am no where close and now 7/8 weeks without lessons. I feel like I am starting again :( am starting again week one tomorrow… with a new instructor……
so well done Brandon!!!! You have done so well and good luck 🤞 in your test.
He is getting better. He is doing exactly what I used to do and helped me. That was where I always talked out loud the steps I did for each manouver
Helps massively
@@brandonkaila so true it helped me pass my test first time
This man deserves more subscribers.., I’m not even British and I watch his videos. I don’t live in the UK.
20:07 A seriously uncool Ford B-Max.
I really enjoy these type of videos as I’m mainly watching for entertainment but I learn a lot aswell 👍🏻🙌🏻
i passed my driving test yet im still watching this, Lovely content.
Brandon you are a youtube sensation! What zlatan is to football..Brandon is to driving!
😂😂😂 This comment is great 😂
Got my driving test tomorrow, bircking it a bit but nice to be binge watching these close to my date, since i started watching them last year :D
Good luck!!
@@kategriffin7477 Just taken it! passed with a few minors!! :D
I had my test on Friday the 13th of august and failed for not looking to the right on two mini roundabouts that were right next to each other, and then 6 minors. I’m so gutted but I just know I’m going to smash it next time, and I do believe these videos help me so much because it allows me to pick out what’s wrong with my driving so I just wanted to say thank you very much 😊
27:59 brooo🤦♂️😂😂😂
One thing that really annoys me is how Brandon presses the button when putting the hand break up. When doing that sometime the hand break may not be fully applied
I thought this was what you're supposed to do otherwise the handbrake just keeps clicking?
@@scunnygal Nope you aren’t meant to use the button when applying the handbrake. You pull up without pressing the button. The clicks are there to lock the handbrake into place when pulling it up. You only use the button when putting the handbrake down.
@@aidanhughes3655 in that case, I was taught wrong when I learnt to drive 14 years ago!
@@scunnygal that’s amazing 😂😂😂😂don’t make that mistake on a hill
I failed my mock tests but passed my driving test. Don’t worry Brandon you need it to know what parts of driving you need to work on to pay more attention to to get you closer to your pass!
How many lessons brandon had?
Ive always wanted to say this so here we go ... i passed my test afew months ago and now i still come back here and watch these videos 😃.
Has nobody else noticed the suspicious couple in the trolley bay?
think they just got exposed trying to sneaky link lol
@@loveisfourwalls6377 😂
8:08 what sun? Or did he say song? I don't see a sun anywhere near that country HAHA
I watched these videos religiously before my tests. first test i failed due to junctions as i was so nervous. 2nd test i passed i watched this video before hand and i luckily was within the bay for my reverse parking ha! i passed with x3 minors. these videos helped alot on what to do and what not to do! thank you pin :) good luck to everyone on their tests x
I passed two weeks ago on Thursday, thank you pin for these videos they really really do help!!🧡🎉
8:40 At the lights, he puts the handbrake down, then selected the gear. Arent you supposed select gear, THEN put the handbreak down?....he rushed for the gear last second. I think he stays on gear 3 on that whole stretch of road after that.
People should never overtake a learner car and cut infront like that. Brendon needs more practice, as once he does not have pin in the car, it would really feel different .
I was watching the video and then the girl come on going “HORRRRAY” and it made me jump😂 0:14
Thank you for your videos. I passed my driving test yesterday with 3 minors. Thanks
For some reason when students are doing the reverse bay parking or any kind of bay parking they don't use the lines of the other bays to line up their car. In most situations the bays in front and behind your one are in line so use these lines as a rough guide if your own car is straight. Works almost every time and the only reason I say almost is because someone would say they knew a carpark with wonky lines if I said all. lol
A lot of test center car parks dont have bays in front and are a lot tighter than supermarket car parks.
He did better than me on my first mock!!
I got 1 dangerous, 10 serious and 20 minors😂 I passed in July!! Been driving over a month now.💖
i wish this was on video 🤣
I follow all your videos in order to learn the instructions because I am new in Britain. Can I ask the examiner to be slow with the instructions or is that unacceptable? Thank you very much
I was laughing during watching this test, i I joined and learned more from this guy, he did well😂😂😂😂
