Looks like you've rectified the problem 👍
Yep, that's the second bikevto have the same failure. The scooter failed earlier in the year but was home then.
Good work, like the charger. You’ll need a hi top van to rescue the BMW though! 😂
Hopefully I'll never need to recuse the BMW. Thanks for watching.
what a beauty. Nice work, she does indeed, live once more!
She does indeed. She has a way to make the odd ride out a challenge.
Hi Heath & Kim,
I am working through my subs list backlog one channel at a time and have finally arrived at yours 🤗
This incident reminded me of my days with the Bullet 500 which towards the end would just cut out mid ride and not start again until you left it overnight.
I changed all sorts of things to fix that but have since concluded that the replacement coil I ordered from Hitchcocks' was probably slightly damaged.
I think continuity in the coil would break up when it got hot enough, which was usually when I was 10-20km from home. Then it would refuse to start until the next day, by which time the coil had cooled down and restored its continuity. Even though I had road side assistance, I usually got recovered by some kind local passing by. My Bullet was seen on the bed of pickups and various trailers during my time with it. It always amazed me how quick people were to stop and ask if I needed assistance. They wouldn't take any payment either. One guy just wanted English lessons, so I agreed and gave him my number, but he never took me up on it 🤷♂
But yes. I am familiar with electrical gremlins and not making it home under your own power 😝
Glad you got it sorted. That generic rectifier was just the job, so a cheap and easy fix in the end. Good work ! Can't beat a proper printed on paper workshop manual, can you ?
Cheers you two, Happy Christmas of course !

I guessed you are working through the videos. I have back log to get through. Yep, the TL is full of eletrical Gremlins which i've learned to live with. I left the bike in work and came home and got the van, when i returned to pick the bike up no one question me of why I was loading up a motorcycle in the van but I got an offer of help!
Happy Christmas to you.

I wonder how many bike thieves actually do get the help of a member of the public when nicking bikes.
Probably a fair few !
Well at least you can now show people the bike appearing on your channel should you ever get interrogated by a paragon of justice, querying your intentions !
Easier to fix than to get out of the van 😎
I did struggle to get it out of the van. It broke down in work, what I found amusing is no one question me loading it up and checking I was the owner etc but I did get offers of help to load it. 🤔🤣😂
@@lipglosshelmetsandhim 🤣 wow! 🤷🏻♂️
I just bought a TL1000s its rather taty but it runs and ride good lovely bikes ❤v❤
Welcome to the club. You will love it. Make sure you join a suitable forum to get help with the issues you will come across.
@@lipglosshelmetsandhim cheers I'm already in love wonderful machine 👌🙂👍
Well done getting it sorted mate, not too tough a diagnosis compared to some electrical gremlins thankfully! 🙂
Thankfully an easy fix
Had a rectifier go on my 3 yr old VFR 800 (in 2002) near Lyon in France. Cost me €700 then and tha was 22 yrsago. No choice though😮
Wow, that was expensive but if its the only way to get you going then you have no choice.
