Thank you Shandy for having Anna and Chris on. They have a wonderful dynamic that pops off the screen. I would certainly hate to be forever judged by my worse mistake in life. Wishing both of them continued happiness together
I was not a fan of Anna or Chris on their seasons, but this was one of my favorite LoveFests! Evidence that “villains” on the show = complex human beings IRL. ❤
I'm sure Shandy has gotten this request millions of times and I'm sure if they could make it happen they would, but I would love a Lovefest with Godmother Trista and Ryan Sutter! Also Clare and her new husband, also named Ryan!
Yay! Was patiently waiting for another Love Fest and this one was (surprisingly?) so enjoyable! To reiterate another commenter, I honestly didn't know what to make of Anna and Chris either: I'm also en elder millenial and remember Chris from way back Bachelor Pad (RIP) so am tangentially aware of all the negative backlash--same for Anna. But I found them both so sincere, well-balanced, natural and...well, refreshingly normal here! In the best (and unexpected) of ways! I think people so often forget and condemn people for being on a *highly* produced TV show that knows what it's doing and has been doing it for so long. As much as we want to believe we are "unmanipulatable", the forces that work behind the scenes can be so much stronger and beyond our expectations that by the time we are aware it might be too late (cf: systemic powers).... Anyway, Anna and Chris seem like they've honestly learned from their BN experiences and have managed to move on, for the better, from it, and I, for one, am rooting* for them! *(As much as any stranger can root for a couple they know nothing about and have only seen, once, on the internet!)This is actually one of my personal favorite Love Fests! So many exclamation points for the surprise of it all!!!! 😅 EDIT: To add, I really appreciate the age difference conversation. In some relationships it can be a real stickler (e.g. power imbalance, generational misunderstandings and expectations, etc.) but the fact that they are aware (at the very least of the perception) but also mention how it ultimately doesn't affect their relationship is something I find v positive. Especially when Chris mentions that he was worried about "holding her back" etc. -- these are often thoughts or concerns that a lot of ppl in relationships with a big age difference don't like or feel confortable adressing and, maybe bc Chris is someone who needs to have these conversations, the fact that they do is not only a green flag but is also helpful for others in understanding how to navigate such discussions ourselves! Much better, I think, than to pretend it isn't a concern whatsoever :)
Man, I can totally relate to the "babysitting" comment. I have absolutely had exes where they either (a) would barely say a word to my friends/family and just sit there waiting for the conversation to turn to their specific interests or their personal situation, or (b) not care at all about being controversial or antagonistic and just say whatever he felt, even if it was bordering on aggressive. Ugh. One of the things I love the most about my current partner is that I can go in the other room and take a nap and he'll make conversation with my 14-year-old nephew or my 79-year-old mom. And he's just nice about it.
I'd hate to be forever vilified for something crappy I did at age 23 and on a show where there's a pro team of producers whose job it is to manipulate and make its contestants look as bad as possible. No one's giving her a pass but she apologized and has been punished enough. On a lighter note, I loved this love fest! As others have said I wasn't sure what to expect with this one but I really enjoyed it. The game was one of my all time faves!
I was so curious how this love fest was going to be and I’m so glad I watched. I wasn’t sure what to think about either of them. I’m so glad to see that they have grown and matured and are able to move past the nonsense that BN can throw at people. They seem so great together. I love how this love fest was really able to demonstrate how different people can be when they aren’t be televised and/or manipulated on a TV show. They had me smiling the whole time. I wish them so much love and success together. They seem to compliment each other so beautifully.
File this one under: Thought I was going to hate it but didn't. I didn't hate it at all actually. I... loved it? This is what love fests are about folks
This was soo much fun to watch! I'm glad you guys picked them and for the naysayers out there, we all do stupid shit when we're young and don't need it held against us forever!
Great Love Fest. I've really been rooting for Chris to find his partner. Glad they found each other. And they are happy together. That was an entertaining competition too. I thought they would tie until the end.
I loved this! I always liked these two and they seem great together. If I still lived in Chicago I’d be wishing we’d run into each other and become friends 😄
It's weird but despite the 10 yr difference, they seem really compatible. Anna looks very pretty here. Chris seemed grumpy on the Bachelor with Katie Morton. Chris and Anna seem like they would bring out the best with each other and Chris actually seems like a nice decent guy here. I guess him and Katie were just the wrong match and brought out the worse in each other.
“I blame the cold on a lot of things” - Andy 😂😂🤣 Loved this interview. I remember him on all the seasons and it was fun to see them “IRL”. Dear Sunday is the best podcast ❤️❤️❤️
i met anna at a restaurant the other day at a restaurant and she was so gracious and lovely! this has nothing to do with the podcast but she was so warm and poised compared to how i would be if i were her
@@dearshandy I'm so glad you had them on and gave us all a chance to see more of them than the slivers we are shown on the Bachelor! Keep up the amazing work.
I was a figure skater from 8 yrs old thru high school and my dream and goal was to tour with Ice Follies and Holiday On Ice (it’s called Disney On Ice now and at 18 yrs old I tried out, I traveled 45 cities in 11 months for 10 years. Peggy Fleming time. I’m a young 76 yr old living in Florida very close to the beaches. Loved this episode.
Ohhh, I can so relate to Anna's comment about a LDR being immediately a relationship. My partner lives in France, and we had to be a committed couple right away. Neither of us would be flying overseas for just "dating".
It would be so embarrassing to see a "reaction video" of myself watching a Dear Shandy show. As always, my cheeks hurt from smiling for over an hour straight. ❤
Aww.. She is beaming. )) It’s so nice to see two people in a harmonious relationship. I’m very happy for Chris. Especially after his last public relationship, where the girl (Katie?) seemed totally nuts and didn’t have his back. Made me worry for him, but he found a good one this time. 🎉 Re Anna’s edit: she owned her mistake. That’s all you can do at 23.
Maybe Katie and Chris just weren't compatible. Why does she need to be described as nuts? And owning your mistake is the best you can do at any age, I'm not sure what her being 23 has to do with anything.
Such a wonderful episode, and an especially warm attaboy to Chris for landing SUCH a terrific (and HOT) partner. I've rooted for the guy for years, and I'm proud of him. They are so good for each other. Thank you.
I’ve met Chris couple times and he’s decent. Never really liked Anna though and still think she comes off quite annoying on here. This is such an odd pairing to me
I LOVE Shandy and I usually love these Lovefests, but I can't listen to this one. Anna is the woman from Matt James' season who accused fellow contestant Brittany Galvan of "entertaining men for money" simply because she was jealous of B. That's a reputation and life-ruining accusation. Anna deserves zero attention. It's a shame because I've always loved Chris "I'm not Gerard Butler" Bukowski and I would love to listen to him being interviewed.
I am actually disappointed they (Shandy) gave her attention for the same reason you mentioned. I don't see how they overlooked that and decided to give her space or worse, didn't overlook it but decided to give her space regardless.
I don't think we always understand the context and pressures around the show. Producers may have pressured her to say that rumor. I know she's apologized sincerely. I think she received appropriate backlash and she deserves the opportunity to change and to be better. I think since then she's remained unproblematic, and most of the girls her season are her friends like Serena.
@Valley Girl you're entitled to your feelings and opinions. I ultimately don't think she's a horrible person for one egregious mistake. I have mistakes people can judge me for from my past. I don't blame Brittany for being upset. I don't blame shandy for letting them speak.
If you are interested, jump to 21ish minutes as the villain edit is addressed. Everyone has a right to feel the way they do, but I personally like to give people second chances, especially those on TV. I would hope for the same thing I guess. Being a human is hard lol

By far the best and most compatible couple that you’ve had on love fest. They really care for each other. SO HAPPY FOR THEM!!! Great love fest guys!!!
