    A major key feature you missed is Stereo Mode. You can use Bluetooth to link to 1 more EXMMOBILE 8 or the battery-powered EXM-Mobile-Sub.
    The EXM Mobile8 supports wireless stereo playback between two EXM Mobile8 cabinets, for an
    enhanced listening experience. One cabinet will act as the Primary unit, while the other acts as
    a Secondary unit. The Primary unit will play the left audio channel of streamed music, and also
    maintain the Bluetooth™ connection with your device, while the Secondary unit will play the
    right audio channel. Your device only connects to the Primary unit, not the Secondary.
    To enable Stereo Mode, simply double tap the Bluetooth™ button on the EXM Mobile8 that
    should act as the Primary unit (left channel), then double tap the Bluetooth™ button on the
    other EXM Mobile8 (right channel).

      Will this work with a 12 paired with an 8?

    For musician the Ev Everse8 is a much better choice and will blow all the competition away as noted in your comment, the verse actually goes down to 50 Hz at -10 DB and 60 Hz at -3 DB. It also has a killer app where you can control all your functions. You’ve got a graph, queue, a parametric, EQ, and on each channel you have a high, mid and low for shaping your sound. It has compression, phantom power, and over 40 different effects. Plus at 95 DB you’ll get 12 hours of life. You can power from the speaker a wireless mic as well as an iPad or iPhone. It also has Bluetooth Yorkville builds good stuff but it just doesn’t compete when you look at the whole package.

      Ev distorts at high volume... Yorkville doesn't. Plus you can play yorkville for hours and hours and hours... the amp never gets hot. Just warm. Ev will shut off. Plus ev is easy to clip. Yorkville doesn't clip at high volume. The only speakers I would preferably think that can take a yorkville are RCF... but everyone has their own opinion so whatever you assume can also be correct in your preference 👌

    I have the jbl. It’s ok. Sound clips easy. But what sold me was the app and the parametric eq. Comes in handy, especially if you have to eq a lav.

      I own a few JBL EON (Mk2 and compact) but I wouldn't use the compacts for a room that big. I'll take the EON One MK2; a line array fills a room much better, without the need of cranking the volume too high.maybe one compact to fill if the room has an L-shape (this is where the delay feature for the passthrough in the Mk2 comes handy).

    A room that size for cocktail hour, I would have set up 2 speakers situated on the opposite of each other. That's probably why you had guests telling you to turn it down, your volume was set to cater for the whole room but ends up being way too loud for one corner. 2 speakers at a lower volume, perfect!

    DJ Barr. Love the video. Could you please do a Yorkville EXM Mobile8 vs Bose S1 Pro sound review?

  • @roberthasslocher7086
    @roberthasslocher7086 ปีที่แล้ว

    DJ Barr - Please keep the reviews rolling. I think you, and the rest of the DJ community, overlook an important aspect of products - and that is where they are made. Do you research and you will find that the majority of DJ products - no matter the price tag - are manufactured in China. Yorkville is designed, engineered and made in Canada. Despite their quality, I don't really see many reviews on TH-cam, or online dealers selling/promoting them. Don't sleep on this brand. I recently purchased an Everse 8, being a long-time fan of EV, and thought it was a U.S. brand, proudly made in the USA. It's made in China. That said, I am looking at Yorkville's portable sub to match it with for cocktail hour/small venues.

    I'd take this over that Everse 8. I don't want to be fumbling through user menus to equalize on-the-fly situations. I can imagine that LCD display on the Everse going out over time... NOPE! I'll stick to analog buttons and knobs for my controls.

      @ABETTERDJANDPHOTOGRAPHER 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mwenemusic4489 the 120 was an error, it is actually 60 for the EV. That being said, the Yorkville has better bass because the 8" is dedicated to the lows while the Everse handle lows and mids.

    Love that speaker, I was going to order the Mackie Thump go, but not a fan of Mackie but the price was appealing. After reading some reviews of guy sending them back because the Mackie wasn't loud enough so I decided to spend the extra money on the Yorkville. Money well spent, It's an awesome little speaker. I use it daily, for practice or just playing music around the house and then carry it out to the garage while working on all my projects.

    Question about servicing. Where to do you send it and how long is the waiting for repairs? The exm mobile 8 helps us a lot to my weekly performance invites, hotel, wedding, gigs etc. Its really a good speaker and really over use this one because of really good sound.

    It's been over a year since I changed everything to Yorkvilles and I love the products (ES21Ps, EF215s, PS12Ps) but not the company that much. What I mean by that? Well, When I bought two EF215Ps, the grills were pushed in and the bottom of the box was broken during transportation. You would think being almost 2k USD speakers were a bit more durable. But since they have a 10 hear box warranty I wanted the parts. So when I contacted them about it, they refused to send them because they wanted me to go through the seller not through them. Which is kinda weird since any other company will be glad to send you parts as long as you send proof. Sk that's what I did. Went back and forward with the seller I got parts, but Yorkville sent the wrong parts. So it was again back and forward with the seller and when I got the other parts I also got them wrong by Yorkville again. I sent Yorkville a message about it and they never responded. So all be aware about it.

    Close to buying two Everse 8 (In Melb Aus, they are the best battery speakers without latency at my size needs) and this is the only other option on the market that is potentially better. Main question I have at the moment is - can you replace the battery when it dies? I can't go into a store to test or ask questions here unfortunately.

    You really should have mentioned this: No user replaceable battery. When the battery goes, I have to send it back to Canada? This is already an expensive speaker compared to the others at $720. This battery issue will be a deal breaker for many.
