For two years, every night while sleeping, from my shoulder down to my hand, both sides, would fall asleep. I would have to shake them to wake them up. I didn't know what was wrong and was worried. I searched online and found it may be due to a b12 deficiency. I bought some b12 and a bottle of b complex and within a week it worked. It still happens sometimes, just in my hands, but it's about 80 percent better. I'm 50 years old.

Wow! I had that too! But I didn't know it was a B12 issue. I recently started taking B12 because I started metformin for pre-diabetes. I do not have the numbness and tingling as much anymore and my energy is better but not where I want it to be. I've only been taking it a couple of weeks.

I love your hair color! It’s very flattering.
Thank you for so much valuable information. I am in perimenopause and have been on a roller coaster ride with my body lately. Current issue is ovarian cyst and right side/low back pain. Fun stuff!
I use nutritional yeast (as a source of B vitamins) and sprinkle it on potatoes, soups and salads.

So wise so clever so reasonable explanation. Thank u so much. I experienced it. Low iron low ferritin and b 12. Though doctors keep saying it's hormonal change .. perimenopause ..symptoms are exactly the same. . 🤔 not trusting them started my own research on the Internet and found good specialists like you ..

This one is so timely. A couple of weeks ago I had all these symptoms. A lot of these symptoms also are anemia symptoms. I am anemic and always have been even before Peri. The standard course is to give me iron. The first time in my life I overdosed on iron. That is very scary and one of the worst physical moments in my life. I stopped taking the iron. I couldn't take my B's because I needed to do the iron. Once I started taking my B's within a week I felt so much better and myself again. I just want the ladies reading here to be aware because we are in Peri and presenting these symptoms our doctor's will just assume iron deficiency too. If we are skipping periods or in Post Meno we do not need as much iron. That is what happened to me.
The PPI's is a major B deficiency. My husband has to take PPI's because he had a major stomach surgery when he was a teen. He will be on PPI's for life. Now, he gets a lot of calories from his food. He is in construction so he eats well and is athletic. Last year he started becoming very ill, tired, and all the scary symptoms. It turned out he was B deficient. Within one week of fixing this issue he is much better. Yes, the PPI's will destroy your B's.

This by far makes more sense. Im post menopause but still get anxiety, depression, irritability at different times. I take a one a day for seniors vitamin that has lots of b vitamins..when i remember. I can really tell when ive missed it after a couple of days. I eat healthy, but i believe the lack of estrogen must work against the absorption as well. I bloat easy, used to have chronic uti's, but thankfully i figured out how to beat that without antibacterial meds! Those meds destroyed my good bacteria. I will take the b complex and see if that helps. Even men get cranky...i tell my hubby he needs to take his vitamin, i can see a difference. B for behavior! It would interesting to see the levels of b 12 in dimentia patients.

Hope the B vits help Teresa, it's great to hear that you've managed without the medications. Yes, there are so many factors to dementia so it would be interesting to see this from a nutritional point of view.

Thank you so much Eileen as always. Your videos which are freely offer are so accessible & with such fab essential information that is vital for women to access if they wanted to, & men to become informed by. They feels deeply nourishing for health/wellbeing & for many, life saving/sanity giving/health restoring information because the NHS aren't providing this for women, along with how much can help naturally without drugs. So thank you so much : ) Are you able to let me know what the healthy range that Vit B12 levels need to be please? Thank you so much again. I feel your offering a really important & essential public service : )

I just had my vitamin b12 checked and to my suprise it was 799. My Dr said thats good and its probably due to i drink a protien shake a few times a week.
I do eat lots of chicken and fish too. And also red meat to keep my iron and good red blood cells goin.
My signs n symptoms are just perimenopause cause my vitamin levels came out normal.😊

Agreed completely. I was feeling like crap for years really. I take PPIs and nobody told me that you can become deficient in so many vitamins/minerals. Taking. B6 , B12, magnesium, vitamin D, Q 10, and iron with vit C and feel soooo much better.

I had a blood test on Monday evening, my B12 result has come back as normal but I have no idea whether that's correct or not? I've been getting a lot of the symptoms mentioned for B12 deficiency. I follow the Vitamin D protocol, according to that my level is optimal but the GP has said it's too high and want me to make an appointment.
