@@brendah4581 It appears that on facebook in particular, that there is a group of people (?) that are trying to highjack Jackson’s Facebook page. I know someone personally who almost got sucked in. Jackson is actively trying on his original facebook page for you not to engage them. Over the past few days when I have been trying to connect with the Jackson Browne facebook page. I was blocked , and a good thing that I was. It was not the “official” JB page. From now on that is what you have to look for : the " official Jackson Browne Facebook page”. Sorry to say.
No one else can be you, is defined so well by Jackson Browne. Simple truth, sublime and profound, speaking for the soul of everyman, what we all feel sooner or later. We are so worthy and Mr. Browne shows us how. 💙 God bless you always and thank you.
I'm not sure there's anyone who speaks to - and reaches in and touches - our shared humanity like Jackson Browne does. His words don't lose their relevance but only deepen in beauty and meaning. Grateful for the hills and valleys they've seen me through in my 54 years.
To add to Tracey’s wonderful words, she reminded me that in 1981, I would drive through Topanga Canyon to commute with the top down, and used to choose a different Jackson Browne cassette tape to listen to, then reflect upon his poetry while transporting time and space, absorbing the wonderment of that beautiful canyon. Your sentiments are so articulately well placed, that I hope when the future generations grow tired of AI manufactured music, will look back and read what you’ve written as they listen. As a Child of 18 when listening to, “Late for the Sky”, I had always fantasized and hoped that one day Jackson Browne’s messages might change the world. Perhaps they have but only within the few million minds of those who listen and then reflect. His echoing words will fill the air of the canyons for millenniums, but only if human kind survives. I want to believe that your words written will accompany his music with its unique style, his poetic lyrical prophecies, and placed within an air-locked Time capsule, unearthed thousands and thousands of years after the deluge, into the far future. Your words will be read, as they play what had been formally known as music, so that those surviving in the future will realize while they listen or “plug into an interface”, then comprehend his motivation and talent to touch one’s mind and heart. ♥️
@shivadasa if what you say were true, how did YOU stumble across my futuristic, science-fictional prophecy and the possibilities of how his poetic works will be interpreted? In my mind, the near future will not have the boundaries of language. Even now, if you were speaking to me in a foreign language, I could have easily translated the message by AI or any other platform. I wonder if you’ve even considered the messages in which Jackson Browne projects? So many of his songs contain the current trend of the world and its shortcomings. Your response to what I wrote did not contain your thoughts of what humanity will become. Without your own opinion of my point, your critique of me and my method is rather bland and incomplete. It’s easy to criticize what I wrote about the future, what you lack is an ability to recognize I only wrote down some fictional thoughts from my own beliefs. I used Jackson Browne as just a path to my beliefs. I’ve listen to him for more than 50 years. and it is of my opinion if you don’t consider its content, without consideration or acknowledgment, why bother giving your opinion? Is your name Karen? The future of this planet and all that live upon will perish, most likely due to the direction mankind currently face by the inability to see us all as as one upon this planet, rather than the separation of power, and the escalation of separate nuclear powers. Earth has no future for mankind, and that something you didn’t even consider in your message.

I’m sitting in the parking lot of the Huntington Beach pier, down the street from the Golden Bear referenced in the song hearkening back to those days. Gone is The Bear, Maxwell’s, Surf Theater, all of it. But the waves are still here, the sun, the birds and the sky. This song was done so beautifully, it gives me chills. THIS, youngsters, is art.
What someone else said - Jackson, it is probably hard to grasp what you have given to some many of us. I am 65 now, came to see you sing at Tanglewood this summer/ 2023. I have listened to your music, and it must be said, hung on just about every word you sung. Thank you for everything you have inspired in my life; so much more than you (or I) could have imagined. ❤
Was 20' from him at the US Festival in 1982. Got a couple great pix. He is always writing beautiful, meaningful lyrics. I am a published poet, so I know.
I see alot of comments saying his music is soothing for the soul, man is it ever! My kids give me the side eye when I say he has been a saving grace for me as I grieve the loss of my husband almost a year ago. And again I say thank you Jackson.
Prayers going up for you honey! Must've has a way of turning off lives into a soundtrack.. And Jackson surely is embedded in many of ours. Godspeed on your love & loss.....
You voice sounds just as rich now as it did back in the spring of 1978 when young me was hitchhiking from Florida to Berkeley California and then back again...rolling down the Coast Highway in an 18-wheeler, hearing your songs on the radio. Thank you for the memories....
JB has become more economical and precise with his voice, due to recent voice coaching. Obviously, his vocal gifts are considerable, being one of the best at vocal phrasing in the business. Age does take a toll on endurance and range, but he’s overcome those limitations by still being willing to improve his technique.
Yes Jackson you take me back to my youth. I’m 67 now. Your music inspired me to paint my art in my little apartment. I could really connect to your music then & now tonight makes me feel good inside.
There are very few artists who have stood the test of time, Jackson Brown is arguably one of my favorites. His voice is unchanged and unique and beautiful. Great tune and musicians. Live long Jackson!
I've been a fan of the album version of this song for years. This performance, so many years later, with Greg Leisz's impeccable steel solo, takes the song to a whole new level.
Been a major fan of Jackson forever and seen many iterations of him and his music, bot electric and acoustic, with a variety of band mates. Dating all the way back to his many shows at the Main Point in Bryn Mawr, with Lindley (amazing). His band Ensemble he had with him on his Tour stop at the Philips Center in Orlando, included Greg Leisz. I could easily recognize the talent he possessed and it was a great and memorable show. This rendition of Barricade is BRILLIANT!
It’s so nice to see a female drummer. We have been around for a long time, good ones, but perceptions and bias have kept progress slow. Thanks to Jackson and the others who have put talent above bullshit for the inclusion that has been lacking far too long.
The slide guitar work by Greg is simply fantastic in this video, his transition riffs between each verse and his solo are simply awesome. So subtle and smooth.
65 this year. Been following him since early 70s. Go see him every time he's reasonably close by. Last time my adult sons and friends brought Mom and Son's tickets. We all sat together on blankets in the grass and loved Jackson Browne. Thank You!)))
Jackson had his first Hit, Doctor My Eyes, when I was starting to listen to the radio, 1972. Fifty years later he is doing the same thing, and I am still listening, and buying his albums. Thank you, Jackson.❤️🔥

Thank you for coming to Edinburgh to play six years ago. Never thought I'd see you live since I first heard the The Pretender more than 50 years ago. Thank you for being a constant companion over the years and now after retiring. My classmates sneered at my choice of music (Joni and Van M) then and tried to get me to listen to Hawkwind, Black Sabbath, etc but now on our annual reunions, they admit to secretly listening to JB. Our lives have been made infinitely better for knowing their music. Don't stop playing Jackson.
Awesome comment ! You know your shit ! Jackson saved my life so many times ! He educated me and serenaded me thru life !! I love this guy !!! Always have !! “ These Days “ will always be my anthem ‘!
Wow. The only thing that makes sense these days is music. We’re safe in its arms. I’m diggin the female rhythm section. The master only better with age. I expect there will be a lot of profound music in the coming years. Can’t wait 🇺🇸☮️✝️

I've watched this about a dozen times and I'm still blown away each time. This is a great example of how less is more in a song. The style and feel of each player, and how they compliment each other is pure perfection.
Love this version. They are a very talented group. I Love Erin's drumming fits perfectly. Jackson, you are the best hands-down songwriter, singer, and person. I hope to see you again in Birmingham soon. I listen to this every night before sleep. Beautiful!.
simply,...the "best of" the "best of". that steel guitar is the grace of wind over water.....spectacular! and the smile at the end letting them know... thank you Jackson!
Usually re-makes of songs I really like fall short to me because I am used to the original album version. Somehow this version has managed to supplant the original in my eyes. The original is still fantastic but this one is even better. Mr. Browne, your arrangement with Greg, Mai and Erin is simply perfect.
I started listening to Jackson Browne when I was a teen. I am now 70 and his music, passion, empathy and ability to translate his reality into poetry and song resonate deep within my soul and have since the first day I heard his music. Few musicians and songwriters can convey their thoughts and feelings as beautifully and effectively as this gifted composer does. God Bless you Mr. Browne.

I have listened to many live versions of this song and the clarity between these musicians it remarkable , everyone is so polished with age and experience, the steel guitar player is one the best i've ever heard in sync with jackson they have played many years to get this kind of music quality... keep it coming....yeah

No one else can be you, is defined so well by Jackson Browne. Simple truth, sublime and profound, speaking for the soul of everyman, what we all feel sooner or later. We are so worthy and Mr. Browne shows us how. 💙 God bless you always and thank you.
Well written and soulful, akjam1!

You`re so right. Couldn`t agree more. Would love to hear Warren Zevon sing this one. Guess I`ll have to wait for it to happen.
This version is so much better than the original studio /album version. The steel guitar is AWESOME!
I'm not sure there's anyone who speaks to - and reaches in and touches - our shared humanity like Jackson Browne does. His words don't lose their relevance but only deepen in beauty and meaning. Grateful for the hills and valleys they've seen me through in my 54 years.
Very well put Tracy .....my sentiments exactly..!!..His songs don't age, they mature like a fine wine...🎶🍷🍾🍷🎶
@@XENONEZZ2 So Cute!
@@tracycarreon9204 That’s the way I feel, too, and I once heard Bonnie Raitt say more or less the same thing.
OMG, the voice is still so pure, so beautiful.

Better than ever, I reckon. The age and experience and wisdom sits well in his voice.

LYRICS
Running down around the towns along the shore
When I was sixteen and on my own
No, I couldn't tell you what the hell those brakes were for
I was just trying to hear my song
Jimmy found his own sweet sound and won that free guitar
We'd all get in the van and play
Life became the Paradox, the Bear, the Rouge et Noir
And the stretch of road running to LA
Pages turning
Pages we were years from learning
Straight into the night our hearts were flung
Better bring your own redemption when you come
To the barricades of Heaven where I'm from
All the world was shining from those hills
The stars above and the lights below
Among those there to test their fortunes and their wills
I lost track of the score long ago
Pages turning
Pages we were years from learning
Straight into the night our hearts were flung
Better bring your own redemption when you come
To the barricades of Heaven where I'm from
Childhood comes for me at night
Voices of my friends
Your face bathing me in light
Hope that never ends
Pages turning
Pages torn and pages burning
Faded pages, open in the sun
Better bring your own redemption when you come
To the barricades of Heaven where I'm from
Better bring your own redemption when you come
To the barricades of Heaven where I'm from
Thank you 😊

So smooth and complete..a beautiful song
and spirit.. a poetry of expression
He still has my heart after all these years...
Thank you Lee
Absolutely beautiful piece of live music. Love Jackson and how he surrounds himself with such high quality musicians.
And if you were that good wouldn’t you just love to be in his company and play with him, how does he make the common place so existential
He is old but cooler than any young musician there there is.

Doesn’t get any better this… Jackson is always so brilliant. A great artist.

Agree!!!
I start my mornings with this and black coffee.
@@JDKingStratslinger lol. I like sugar and cream in my coffee and enjoy it on my deck every morning with Jackson..he is incredibly beautiful after all of these years!! His voice is still as beautiful 😍 💗
I wonder if he played there? I saw a few great artists there in my youth (70’s) that went on to have great success.
@dontbugme we were all there with you 🦋
What someone else said - Jackson, it is probably hard to grasp what you have given to some many of us. I am 65 now, came to see you sing at Tanglewood this summer/ 2023. I have listened to your music, and it must be said, hung on just about every word you sung. Thank you for everything you have inspired in my life; so much more than you (or I) could have imagined. ❤
Dear I always enjoy what's you share here that would be great 😊.
Hello dear.
How are you doing today?
Ive been addicted to Jackson Browne since 70s. Handsome and greatest singer around!! 😍🥰
Jackson you will always be #1
Was 20' from him at the US Festival in 1982. Got a couple great pix. He is always writing beautiful, meaningful lyrics. I am a published poet, so I know.
Jackson Browne, one of the best artists on the planet.

I see alot of comments saying his music is soothing for the soul, man is it ever! My kids give me the side eye when I say he has been a saving grace for me as I grieve the loss of my husband almost a year ago. And again I say thank you Jackson.
Very sorry for your loss.
May God speed your grief..
And Music be your instrument for Solace !
Prayers going up for you honey! Must've has a way of turning off lives into a soundtrack.. And Jackson surely is embedded in many of ours. Godspeed on your love & loss.....
"Take me to the hole in your garden wall and pull me thru " says it all
I lost mine in 2018💔
You voice sounds just as rich now as it did back in the spring of 1978 when young me was hitchhiking from Florida to Berkeley California and then back again...rolling down the Coast Highway in an 18-wheeler, hearing your songs on the radio.
Thank you for the memories....
I was thinking the same...that his voice hasn't aged. A few differences but not an 'old' voice.
JB has become more economical and precise with his voice, due to recent voice coaching. Obviously, his vocal gifts are considerable, being one of the best at vocal phrasing in the business. Age does take a toll on endurance and range, but he’s overcome those limitations by still being willing to improve his technique.
@@jwsuicides8095 - Because this is his singing voice, not his speaking voice...
@@pit2ryan3 so much can happen with singing voices as we age...widening vibrato, loss of top notes, etc...

Yes Jackson you take me back to my youth. I’m 67 now. Your music inspired me to paint my art in my little apartment. I could really connect to your music then & now tonight makes me feel good inside.
I’m 73 and and lots of my favorite singers voices have faded somewhat with time. But Jackson Browne seems to get better.
JB Helped us make it to 73 with our sanity!
Dylan:).... But he is 100 now;)
There are very few artists who have stood the test of time, Jackson Brown is arguably one of my favorites. His voice is unchanged and unique and beautiful. Great tune and musicians. Live long Jackson!
Thanks to Jackson Browne for uncovering fountains of emotion for the multitudes.
Love this- that lady photographer can really play drums. So very well done. Thank the four of you!!
Lovely music, many thoughts come back from far away in time....
Agreed. I can't imagine having that level of skill.
Love it when a percussionist can accompany an artist. She is exceptional!
I had heard enough of the British Invasion, Jackson Browne was a welcome sound on my radio. Thanks for all the sweet songs Jackson. :)
It’s so nice to see a female drummer. We have been around for a long time, good ones, but perceptions and bias
have kept progress slow. Thanks to Jackson and the others who have put talent above bullshit for the inclusion that has been lacking far too long.

Had a crush on this guy since 1974 when he was at Legend City in Phoenix. Great Voice Great Music.
I wish this man knew what he's meant to me for my whole life.. Thank you JB 🙏
I believe he knows. We all need each other. It’s in the music. Been there for a lifetime.

65 this year. Been following him since early 70s. Go see him every time he's reasonably close by. Last time my adult sons and friends brought Mom and Son's tickets. We all sat together on blankets in the grass and loved Jackson Browne. Thank You!)))
The steel guitar adds so much beauty to this unbelievable song. Thanks all. Xo
Steel Guitar player rocks. I love the Steel Guitar. This has become my favorite Jackson Browne song.
We all be gettin’ old but hopefully aging like fine wine. Love this!
Jackson had his first Hit, Doctor My Eyes, when I was starting to listen to the radio, 1972. Fifty years later he is doing the same thing, and I am still listening, and buying his albums. Thank you, Jackson.❤️🔥
I am 79 now and Jackson Music helpt me trough very difficult times in my live but his Music always gave me comfort and helpt me to go on.i sas his concerts in Holland even came back for one on my honeymoon from italy stil loving his Music and offen maken me cry please go on for a couple of years hope they play your Music for me in heaven
What beautiful things to say!!
I grew up listening to this beautiful man. I'm 58 and still listening! And he's still beautiful!

OMG probably my favourite song EVER, and that's in a world that has Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Joan Armatrading, John Martyn, Del Amitri etc - so: thanks Jackson!!

Beautiful!.
Mr. Browne, I`m from germany.....my name is Ingrid and 70 years old. Your music is coooooooooooooooool....
This is such a supremely tight group, all wonderful, and the drummer - perfect.
Like all of Jackson Browne's song this song is so beautiful. I love how the bass and drums work so well together.
simply,...the "best of" the "best of".
that steel guitar is the grace of wind over water.....spectacular!
and the smile at the end letting them know...
thank you Jackson!
I gotta pull out his first two albums. Again. It's about a millionth time for both. I've spent weeks with EVERYMAN by itself.
Usually re-makes of songs I really like fall short to me because I am used to the original album version. Somehow this version has managed to supplant the original in my eyes. The original is still fantastic but this one is even better. Mr. Browne, your arrangement with Greg, Mai and Erin is simply perfect.
I fell in love with my husband of 46 years listening to you! We both loved your amazing songs
Your lirics are unbelievable. Love you still in 2023❤

He is the American Dream ... Thank you Jackson ❤
Love this song. Meaning that you understand looking back on life.
Browne.
Nothing to do with god ...
Been a follower of JB for decades / from LA / to present. I'm 69 he gave me comfort, would give anything to sit for an hour and play with him.. Take my 1971 Martin D 35 and just jam.. I know everything. Ty JB
Love love the smile at the end. My heart was smiling just like that…. ❤️
Never tired of jackson & that killer lap slide .Thank you for that music in a troubled time.
...and THAT ladies and gentlemen, is how music is done!
Overall, JB peaking musically in his 70's. Can't believe he started writing hits at age 16.
I still have lyrics from For Everyman pop into my head daily, especially "don't confront with my failures, I had not forgotten them."
That look on his face at the end says it all......... perfection!
right ... nailed it
This reflective song says so much about his humility despite his being one of the greatest singer songwriters ever. He's one of a kind.
To me, any Jackson Browne music is wonderful. This is another gem.
I am particularly blown away by the drummer's work.
I have listened to many live versions of this song and the clarity between these musicians it remarkable , everyone is so polished with age and experience, the steel guitar player is one the best i've ever heard in sync with jackson they have played many years to get this kind of music quality... keep it coming....yeah
Artists who are unique, stay true to what they are and develop their sound or art ,they stand the test of time and stand alone .Much Mahalo Jackson Brown and God rest the soul of David Lindley
Aloha from Maui Nui,Hawaii Nei.....Oh if your ever in the Pacific Ocean please come by relax and maybe play a concert
I really appreciate the expertise and the time spent on micing up the drums so that every subtle nuance can be heard with clarity.
Fine song, very smooth rendition, good voice, great slide, wonderful drummer.. what’s not to like?
The drumming is 100% on point, love it!
