    Hey Stangmode, big fan with much respect! As a valued member to the Ford society I have a favor to ask you. Recently I went to purchase a Mustang at a dealership in NC. Before I got there I spoke with the salesman several times and asked about the condition of the car, mainly paintwork and accidents. Each time he replied it's like new. So I called to give them a deposit to hold the car for me since I'm from Pittsburgh and its 500+ miles away. At that time I asked him if for any reason when I arrive and inspect the car if it's not as nice as you say can I get my 500 dollar deposit back. He said "it's not a problem dont worry about it" meaning yes I can. So once I got there the car has been wrecked on the drivers side and the paint is shades off and looks terrible. At that point I asked to get my deposit back and they will not give it back. It's been days now and it's all over social media and I would like your help reaching out to other Ford fans warning them of this dirty dealership. Its truly a disgrace they are representing the Ford name. I understand if you dont want involved but I would appreciate the help m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2590243914333358&id=100000433237034&sfnsn=mo

    If your plan is to go boosted I dont think a higher stall will help you a whole lot. If you punch it on the street you'll flash to 3200 ish rpms and blow the tires off. The only place this will help is at the track, which is fine if it's a track car but it seems like you'll mostly use it for street duty.

      @Drty_Windshield That's pretty accurate man. The best thing he could do with the 4.6 2v is swap it out for a better engine.

    Not too thrilled to hear that it is going to get a supercharger....would rather see it kept naturally aspirated.

    You know, every time I see a clutch or torque converter, it always amazes me how small they look when you consider the power that they're asked to transmit. Your new torque converter is a 3500 rpm stall speed. Do you know what the stock torque converter stall speed was? I also found it interesting that you swapped the rear end ratios too, going from a 3.55:1 to 3.15:1. I would have thought the two mods might tend to cancel each other out on a NA engine but I'm certainly no expert. I, as we all, will be watching to see how it does at the drag strip.
    Something else I was wondering, did you have to flash the ECU before the test drives in this video? You didn't say anything about that. The reason I ask is, I swapped rear axle ratios on my 2016 GT and the car would not take full throttle until after I let the ECU know what the new rear ratios were. It was driveable with light throttle applications, but if I showered down on it, it wouldn't respond at all. It would just sit there, certainly not respond the way your car did in the video.

    Cool video brother, with a higher stall speed converter come more transmission heat, will the stock trans cooler keep up or will an aftermarket cooler be needed?

    Do you know if the 3.15s are only going to help with first gear or do you think that they will also pull harder from a roll?
    Looks like when Steeda swapped to a 3.15, they dropped a .10 and gained 3 mph in the 1/4, but not sure how this translates to the street.
    I guess the question is "is the 3.15 the best gear ratio on the street for a FBO, E85 NA car?"

    I had 3.15s in my 2016 and 3.55 in my 2017 I swear the 3.15 car was definitely faster from bottom to top.

      Even though people swear by those and 331s, the quickest all motor 6R80 car runs 409s.

    • @waynebollentin989
      @waynebollentin989 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@smokeum12 right because you said a 6R80 and not a 10R80. You don't under how the gear ratios work in the transmission if you don't see why the 10sp doesn't need 4.09. The 6sp with 4.09 in 1st gear is close to his 10sp's 1st gear with 3.15 final drive ratio.
      Now take 4th gear. The car with 4.09 gears would do about 130mph @7500rpm. Where he can only go about 108mph @7500 with 3.15s. So technically he has more low end gear then then the car with 4.09s do because of how the transmissions are geared. 4.09 is to much gear with a 4.69 1st gear. You spin and go through the gear to fast. The 6sp only has a 4.17 1st gear. For the 6sp to leave as hard as the 10sp it needs that 4.09 where the 10sp doesn't. It makes up the difference in trans gearing.

      We can talk without you making assumptions about what I do or don't understand.. I 100% understand how the ratios work in a transmission. And yes you are right, the 315s do well in the 10R... But Steeda did go 10s with the 409s as well, before they had a converter.

      @@smokeum12 if you don't have enough sense to comprehend one of the first thing's I said which was that you were talking about the 6R80. It's not even worth entertaining a further discussion. You also bring up steeda about 4.09 gear like a fool. The only reason they ran that gear was because there was no converter which you did mention. But it's meaningless being the first time back at the track with the 3.15 gear in a 20mph head wind on a 17in wheel they went 10.33 @ 132mph with a 1.46 60ft. I even agreed with you when talking about the 4.09 in the 6R80 smh... I hope you gave yourself that thumbs up to by the way.
