As someone who played Axebiter only briefly without really running 24 different Pseudo Absolute Ice Shields, I can say with confidence that whenever I dropped Axebiter, the match would slow down to paint drying speed. I don't wanna imagine what it felt like playing an actual White Control deck. I kinda feel like we are gonna see a lot of Nova decks. You gotta keep in mind, people have already played all the purple they wanted to and they still have Nova decks sitting in their closets.
I think Red Nova and Purple Meduke will probably be the strongest decks until Blue drops and shakes things up a bit. Yellow does have a chance now to do something, but it still seems to be lacking a few pieces to make the strategies more consistent.
Nova can't get through Meduke's blood curse. But meduke now has draw problem. So I am hoping yellow and green to do something. Blue's control will be annoying af tho......(tax on attack, a lot of cost based destruction, mill)
I am not overly upset about the ban list Axebiter is gone. Good. Depths... I don't want to talk about it since I used Depths. The Red cards are my bigger issue. I am a Star dragon player mainly and Raineedle is the 1 to 0 cost spirit I prefer I just don't want to see it go banned to. Star dragon is more fun then Terrasaur to me. Just saying.
The white control that i played didnt even need axe biter and it heavily countered the axebiter list because of the insane amount of bounce effects. Its not dead, its just not gonna be running the stupidly OP axe biter
I disagree that terra is going to fall with Ovi gone, in fact it still probably one of the best decks despite it. Even without it the deck can adjust to a midrange style and it has strong tools to play that while Gigano is still strong. Nova is still a very piece reliant deck and that will still be a problem for them
This Banlist is even better than I could ahve asked for.
I am very interested to see how much the Lore set and set 3 will change up the meta now that the tier 0 strategies aren't so strong anymore.
As soon as I get home from work, it's time to test everything again

@@yolotimitoloy Well no, but Nova CAN clear the rest of the field. According to a friend of mine who has played a lot of Curse, that's a huge deal.

Imo dephts was enough. Axebiter was necessary to keep white control alive.
