Yung authentic carbonara yung gusto ko, pero yun nga, magastos. Ang hirap maghanap ng guanciale at pecorino. Haha. Though may everyday version ako ng carbonara, gamit ko yung angel kremqueso, cream of mushroom in can, mccormick carbonara mix, tapos pork jowl (yung nabibili sa mga korean stores na sliced tapos lalagyan ko ng salt and pepper at ilalagay ko sa freezer at least overnight para kunwari madaliang guanciale).

Best carbonara I ever tasted was a Filipino version but can't find it on the internet. It was cooked by my aunt in law. Idk how she makes it so good. I could eat it everyday tbh. I wish people did not name the dish carbonara though. It deserves its own name and it's much better and tastier than the authentic carbonara.
Yes really true. I went to one of our local restaurants and they served a foreign carbonara and I was craving for filipino style but they served me the authentic one. I appreciated it but it was not I've been craving 🤣
