Oh man it was nice to be out of the city and get a change of scenery after 2 whole years staying within Sydney boundaries. We went to Bowral in Southern Highlands to stretch our legs and our stomachs.
We visited the award winning Gumnut Patisserie to sample their delicious meat pies, explored the nearby walking trails for some amazing views, had delicious wines at Bendooley Estate and rushed in for freshly made cream scones at Your Vintage Occasion Tea Salon.
International travel might not be an option just yet, but just as I rediscovered my city of Sydney this year, I think its time to rediscover NSW. 🙂

The No-Bake Coffee Cream Cheese Cake ingredient list:
1. Milk Coffee biscuits (or any slightly sweetened biscuit)
2. 600 g - heavy whipping cream
3. 700 g - cream cheese
4. A knob of butter
5. Coco powder (for dusting)
6. 1.5 tablespoons of instant coffee dissolved in 2-3 tablespoons of hot water
7. 150g sugar

This was really the perfect little trip after the dreariness of the last 2 years. Your road trip was TOTALLY charming and everything you featured was just perfect. Like a well choreographed dance it had all the elements to entice, entertain and excite. And charm. So...well done.
Here's an idea for you..... incorporate roadtrips as a regular feature of your channel. Especially showing all the quaint but delightful and charming hidden gems of Australian small towns. Great for Aussie tourism and who knows... it might just propel your channel to superstardom.

honestly Janice, I’ve been in Sydney for 5yrs and only been working in the city. your youtube channel is the only inspire for me to go for a trip or a dinner, coz by reading or listening to a trip advice does not really do anything for me. I haven't been to the Southern Highlands for quite a while. I miss most of it's towns's rural charm. A bit too cold to visit during winter. I'll be going there, come September or October.

Hello Janice! Loved your vlog. We like taking day trips to Bowral, Mittagong and Berrima. We love the antique stores, particularly Dirty Janes and Mittagong Antique Centre. The high tea place is so awesome ☕️ their sandwiches are amazing too. We like the Elephant Boy Cafe in Bowral as well. It’s great being able to get out of the city and relax a bit ☺️ Looking forward to all your videos!

Which AirBnB property did you stay at? The view is amazing! Last time we stopped at Bowral just for the Tulip Festival and high some rated cafes.
Excellent presentation. Eden pies are the best in Gumnut. Also their mousse ( hazelnut) are the best in the world.

We also went to Gumnut, and had a little look around the main street (wish I'd seen the book barn!) then headed on to Berry for lunch and a wander. We always stop by the Berry Chocolatier and stock up if we are ever in the area. I love the chocolate covered Turkish delight there. 😊

How good it feel when you realize that you have everything at home to do the cake that you did! 15 minutes later the cake is in the fridge but then I realize that I am missing one thing. I don't think I will have the patience to wait until it is ready! 😋Your friends really eat Kiwi with the skin?!? 😱I do just like normal people do, I cut it in half and eat the inside with a spoon 😉.

@@JaniceFung Ooh I thought I replied but it doesn't look like it worked - I went on the similar walks [but was very windy when I was there], and saw Dirty Jane's and Gumnut.
Eden Brewery [and its associated burger van] are great in Mittagong - great vibes and beers. I also enjoyed Artemis wines, just outside Mittagong. Great woodfired pizza there, and the cellar door. Definitely worth trying the gin there if you go.
Otherwise cheese etc. in bowral is a great little delicatessen in Bowral. There's a great little Polish deli in mittagong that sells frozen pierogi as well.

Totally eat kiwi with skin. I use a nonstick pan safe scrubber sponge to scrub the fuzz off though. Wash up a few at a time and keep in fridge for snacks 🥝😎

In answer to your question, I too eat kiwi fruit with skin off because of the furry skin. But generally don’t eat kiwi fruit on its own, but will in a fruit salad or on a pavlova. Personal preference, I say.
kiwi fruit skin is disgusting. theres very few situations where you want a mouthful of hair...
