Does it have a backlit keyboard ? Also you have mentioned below the battery life is poor, would you say this is a deal breaker or does it still have enough positives that allow you to deal and kind of let the low battery life pass ?
This model that I have doesn’t come with a backlit keyboard but my brother has the 13 inch version which does come with a backlit keyboard. As this is a mid-range priced laptop I would say that if your happy using it in battery-saver mode like I do then yes the good points will overcome the short battery life. I would still not recommend this for hard core multi-activity use. Hope that helps 👍🏻
Hi mate. I'm just watching your review and thinking of getting it for college/university. Have you had any issues? I know battery life isn't perfect which is fine with me. My Dell has battery problem. So I'm used to it. Lol. What's the harddrive memory like? Is it wise to get a backup harddrive? Thank you for your review. I appreciate it.
I would go for it if battery life isn’t an issue as it’s not given me any problems - the price will be quite good in the coming weeks due to Black Friday so it’s a good time to buy. I would recommend the i5 processor and at least 256gb ssd - for college/uni you will most likely need more hard drive space but you could easily get a high capacity micro sd card which will also be cheap on Black Friday. Always wise to get a back up hard drive in addition to the sd card or just get cloud based storage 👍🏻 Hope that helps and thank for your support 🙏🏻😁
It may struggle with two because the graphics card is not a dedicated card but it should work fine with one monitor. Probably will work with two but may slow down overall performance.
It’s been brilliant - I’ve set it up for all my kids accounts and it’s running super Fast! The ssd and 8gb ram make a huge difference. I’ve also added norton on it to be on the safe side 👍🏻
@@SketchingFineArt hello what is the best and also the best housing? asu acer or lenovo? I'm looking for one, but it has to be a good typing type and keyboard. today they are all becoming so light. thank you
I would say that I prefer the Lenovo keyboard - it has good travel and feels like proper keys. The housing and build quality is very good and feels premium for this mid price range. Hope that helps - the best way to decide is by going into a store where they allow you to test the laptops - I usually go to curry’s and pc world (im uk based!) 👍🏻
@@SketchingFineArt thank you I have acer 3 but find the case really fragile and you can feel it on the keyboard again. and keyboard with some lenovo is lit and they have a different notch that looks nice on those keys 👍🏻keyboard must be good tchiclet keys that type fine I use it quite often at home, too light weight should not I only take it to hospital not when I leave so acer i am not going to do asus or lenovo thank you dear friends
Should I buy Lenovo ideapad 330s with i7,12gb Ram, 4GB Rx540 or Asus Tuf fx505 with Ryzen 5 -3550,8gb ram,4GB gtx 1650 for around 900 dollar if I am interested in Coding ,Gaming, Video editing?
sorry mate - not got any experience with ASU’s laptops but generally the 12gig ram Lenovo would possibly be better, however, for gaming and video editing I would also consider Alienware by dell 👍🏻
This definitely isn’t a laptop for gaming as the graphics card is not a dedicated one. Not sure for games like Sims - if it needs a dedicated graphics card then nope 😀👍🏻
So far it’s been great for my kids online homework and general work web browsing etc. Personally I use my iMac which is a high spec power house for graphic designers like me so I’ve not done any video editing on this laptop. I would recommend you get a laptop with a dedicated graphics card if you intend to do video editing. This one comes only with an integrated graphics card and the battery life in my experience so far isn’t very good - which is why I use it in battery saver mode. Hope that helps 👍🏻
🤔 hmm... I’ve not had that problem yet with norton - I’ve also used mcafee and Kasperky which are good, and also use the free version of avast on my iMac which is also very good.
Just got one and my previous one was a T61 used with an external usb hdd on which I installed Linux debian in dual boot. I could boot on that external usb drive and use my good old debian (Kali) as usual, well, on a better machine. Nothing to install. Obviously, like that I don't take advantage of the SSD but it's ok, not in a hurry and I have still 2 OS.
Not had any experience with acer aspire 3 but these models are quite similar. I would recommend the one that has more battery life - the Lenovo doesn’t have good battery life 😕
My dad had a dell and gave it to me, That time i was only 8 and knew nothing about tech, and the battery stopped working or the charger stopped working
It’s a common battery problem with dell laptops - the same happened to mine but it still works if I keep the charger plugged in and I’ve had it for nearly 10 years now 🤔
will be difficult, as it would depend on the chipset and motherboard... I wouldn’t recommend it, as these laptops are usually designed with no flex in their component build. 🤔
You should be able to but I wouldn’t recommend it unless u are very experienced in adding ssds onto laptops! You are probably better off buying the model that comes with the ssd instead of a the classic manual hard drive like mine. I wouldn’t try to change it or add more to it in case you damage the components inside because the body of the laptop is mainly plastic which can easily break. Hope that helps! 👍🏻

Hi do you think it can handle 2 external monitors smoothly?
It may struggle with two because the graphics card is not a dedicated card but it should work fine with one monitor. Probably will work with two but may slow down overall performance.
How’s the laptop going for general use has it been slowing down at all as I just picked one up myself? Thanks

I have the Ryzen 5 2500u 256gb ssd, 1920x1080, 8gb ram version of the 330s. It runs well for light gaming and gaming on the go.
nice 👍🏻

Norton is overly "protective" that they actually block Facebook or Twitter. Never again. Got a hard time because it blocked so many apps.

Nice 👍🏻 I don’t think I’ll ever go back to non-Ssd! Hopefully the price will drop soon 🤔
What's the battery like ?
Not very good - I keep it in battery saver mode
SketchingFineArt Can you explain what you mean by not very good? Also, what were you doing with it?
Is the Laptop good?
Yes it’s good but battery life is not - so I use it in battery saver mode 👍🏻
SketchingFineArt How long does the battery last?
Only a few hours on full power mode so best to use in battery saver mode
Does this laptop comes with vga?
No vga on my model 🤓
Lenovo 330 or acer aspire 3?

SketchingFineArt thank you!😊
Que tipo de ssd se le puede poner?
This one comes with a 256 ssd so I would probably just use micro ssdd cards to expand the storage - I have a 128 micro sad card that use for this
Thanks for the review I am thinking of buying this.
You’re welcome 👍🏻

I bought a 8gbram 1tbhdd and 256ssd in 14 inch.
It that good enough
If it’s an i5 processor then it will be very good in your specs for general use and multi-tasking 👍🏻
Ohh ok thank you
I did get an i5
You’re welcome 👍🏻😁
Do you have booting and freezing issues with this?
No - ive set up logins for 3 users and have no issues. It’s super fast every time. I’ve also added norton antivirus.
How to start keyboard light
Not backlight on this model

Can i add ssd??
Yes you can use an sad card 👍🏻😁
This already comes with a solid state drive so not sure if you can add to it - I add more storage by using a 128gb sd card instead 👍🏻😁
