Nonetheless, the crafts are symbols of engineering excellence and an inspiration as they exhibit the endeavour of humanity throughout interstellar space! Perhaps aliens will find the remnants someday 😉

I made it through 12:10 mins. Will probably finish it later; until then here are some comments: feel free to disagree. Science is not all about telling a story. Telling a story is essential, but science requires more than that. I acknowledge that the speaker has gone through the book a brief history of time - Stephen Hawking for his cosmology background. It is unclear if the speaker knows any real physics carried by various parameters. He is just flying over the surface with what is written in WIKI. However, the time that he spent reading the wikis is appreciated. I feel the talk should not be reflected as the speaker’s intellect. I understand sometimes we miss information, but while building a block for science, it is crucial to amend the missed ones and take each step seriously. 3:25 - mathematical consistency and experimental facts. - All his talks about the parallel universe (speaker accepts this as only theory, which I appreciate), black hole (except the image - there are still some unanswered questions), wormholes and curving space-time are still theory (there is some experimental evidence about gravitational waves, but this does not assert any certainty yet). So, take his words as a wiki-theory. Planck length is said to be a real and tested thing (4:13), but it is misleading. It is the ‘ideal’ limit for the length as indicated by a theory of relativity at which all classical and semi-classical theories; standard model, quantum field theory and general relativity are expected to fail. 8:40 The speaker accepts that anything before the Big bang does not make sense. At 9:25, he says the Big bang represents the point where a new universe begins, which is acceptable; however, he continues and adds that there is a cycle and asserts that before the Bing bang there is another universe (How do you know about it?). This contradicts his view that anything before the Bigbang does not make sense at 8:40. Let me explain, there are three theories described in Hawking’s book (Friedmann’s solution page 46, Fig. 3.4), he seems to have merged two independent theories into one, which might have confused him. I comment that we can even see on pages 48 and 49, the theory he described (a cycle theory) is the least anticipated one. However, it might be possible within the quantum domain ‘non classical’ where time-symmetry is preserved within the coherence time. So please take the example very carefully.

Grandfather Paradox is very similar with the Butterfly Effect, They are the same. Everyone can relate their existence with their grandfather, its direct, simple and very easy to understand. But no one can easily relate their existance with a butterfly. It is beautifully sketched in a short Sci-Fi story - "A Sound of Thunder" by Ray Bradbury.
This is the right path forward. We need to focus more on exploring ourselves and the universe. Admit ignorance when we don't know something, ask the right questions and try to find the truth.

But the term is too vague to be taken seriously, and will struggle to garner a consensus among scientific communities as a complete theory because of that very reason. Mind you even as a theory it has very little ground, so I heard ( I am not an expert) as there are still some doubts in string theory because it has been hypothetical definition for far too long and has yet to validate itself as a real theory. I hope this made sense. I am not giving my opinion here whatsoever btw.

No one ever said that phrase from geeta as superstitious. But surely it is religious. And every religious beliefs from any religion are pseudoscience. And the concept of holographic universe is just a hypothesis. No one has said that it is real. To prove this hypothesis, it is physically impossible. So science doesn't state it as a fact. So your comparison doesn't makes any sense!

I have been watching these astro physics documentaries since quite a few years. As a non science guy, I had few bits of knowledge about what he said. But learning it from Nepali Physicist it became more easy to understand. It was very informative, though I don't know the technical core. As a layman this video helped me to grasp some knowledge on what science is, how this universe works and best thing is I got to know that we have brilliant minds like him in Nepal. Hope to see him and more Nepali scientist in this podcast. 🙏👍✊😀
The way he says "its true" with such certainty to something that is still considered speculative in science (parallel universes) goes against the very spirit of science and undermines his credibility actually ...as of now, it might be the best possible explanation, but no one knows for sure if its true or not...Such overwhelming confidence in what is still a speculation or a possibility is more in tune with a group that defy reason over faith - 'Religious fanatics'......thats just in the initial part of the interview though, for the major part of the interview, I loved the way he clarified the diffifult concepts and theories of physics and quantum mechanics to lay enthusiasts like myself...so, well done 👏

Astrology is also a science. There has to be done something to do research on it. We have gone so far in the field of technology and it's due respect to science which is undeniable. But, we have a vast majority of questions and things that remains unanswered and we haven't succeed yet. Our solar system planets revolve around the sun .But the sun doesn't revolve around any star. The whole solar system along with sun revolves around the centre of milky way galaxy called as Saggitarius.Saggitarius is about 26000 light years far from sun. Solar system takes about 230 Million years to complete on cycle around Saggitarius.. Or may be i am wrong.. Anyway... Thank.u..
Corrections: The origins of quantam mechanics can be traced back to Maxwell's laws of thermodynamics. Max plank introduced the idea that light instead of coming in continuous chunks comes in discreet packages called quanta which is represented by h. Later Albert enstien formulated relationship known in the form of E =nhf where n is interiger such as 1,2,3..... h is Plank's constant and f is the frequency. Although enstien contributed to the formulation of quantam mechanics he never believe in it. His quote " god never played 🎲 with the universe" was in reference to entanglement of two quantum particles say photons and then uncertainty principle formed by Wegner hisenberg, this formed the background of quantam mechanics called Copenhagen interpretation.
We will never be able to find the exact phenomenon of the whole mechanism of the universe as we are the minor particle originated from it.it is just like a single cell describing the whole body which is not possible
very impressed with his explanations. He for sure is an elegant thinker. Both Naval ravikant and Richard Feynman are like my heroes too. Naval Ravikant though not a physicist himself, is not any less than prof. feynman. People only know Elon Musk and Bill gates which is the biggest irony. At 1:03:12, sushant was asking the difference between dark matter and dark energy. He gave a pretty generic reply about the interconvertibility of matter and energy but this doesn't work in this case. Dark matter is the extra mass inferred from the gravitational effect on the motion of stars and gas. This dark matter is theorized to be in the form of dark matter halo in the galaxy (though it has never been observed). Axions are the possible fundamental particles of dark matter as suggested by the standard model of particle physics. Dark energy, on the other hand, is thought to be the driving cause of the expansion of the universe otherwise why would a universe not collapse under its own gravity. Also, I am somewhat not convinced that he said the parallel universe is true. That's just a romanticization and commercialization of physics. This romanticization definitely helps Marvel make huge bucks. Concept of Parallel universe were first developed by Huge Everett to make possible sense of the superposed quantum states (just like what Schroedinger did with his cat) but then they were later picked up by others since these concepts serve to wow and romanticize physics. This is still good because more people are interested in physics. But it needs to be known that that's not the complete story. Very happy to see this type of discussion.

If universe is expanding then does it mean that the radius of blackhole is also increasing.. Or does it mean that the relative distance between any two heavenly bodies is also changing??
No even with expanding universe ,the radius of black hole won't increse due to this reason..instead radius of black hole increases due to another reason...not this.. The relative distance between two galaxies may differ due to expanding universe but the position of astronomical bodies within galaxies does changes usually..Einstein general theory of relativity says the distance between two fixed points on the universe will increase on expansion..but it will be a misconception to say that the distance between sun and earth will change or more like this... or may be i am wrong... anyway.. Feynman didn't crack the Challenger disaster. NASA engineers were well aware of the potential O-ring issue and even advised cancelling the launch that morning. At the end it was a big bureacratic mess and PR disaster. Feynman was included in the committee mostly because of his public persona and credibility. Anyways, he is also one of my favorite physicists nevertheless.

I will provide you this reference. It's related to Brian Green who you know was very outspoken in favour of string theory as a theory of everything 6-7 years ago, now he is more of a realist with the idea of string theory as a theory of everything. I could have provided you other sceptic who are more hardcore and against the idea but it won't be fair as it could be their bias or something else (speculative argument).
You know the main reason for that is not the theory in itself but it's acknowledgment with the "theory of everything". Hence why I told you whenever one mentions this term scientists nowadays take it as a pinch of salt.

And the concept of holographic universe is just a hypothesis. No one has said that it is real. To prove this hypothesis, it is physically impossible. So science doesn't state it as a fact.

I have been watching these astro physics documentaries since quite a few years. As a non science guy, I had few bits of knowledge about what he said. But learning it from Nepali Physicist it became more easy to understand. It was very informative, though I don't know the technical core. As a layman this video helped me to grasp some knowledge on what science is, how this universe works and best thing is I got to know that we have brilliant minds like him in Nepal. The way he says "its true" with such certainty to something that is still considered speculative in science (parallel universes) goes against the very spirit of science and undermines his credibility actually ...as of now, it might be the best possible explanation, but no one knows for sure if its true or not...Such overwhelming confidence in what is still a speculation or a possibility is more in tune with a group that defy reason over faith - 'Religious fanatics'......thats just in the initial part of the interview though, for the major part of the interview, I loved the way he clarified the diffifult concepts and theories of physics and quantum mechanics to lay enthusiasts like myself...so, well done 👏

Astrology is also a science. There has to be done something to do research on it. We have gone so far in the field of technology and it's due respect to science which is undeniable. But, we have a vast majority of questions and things that remains unanswered and we haven't succeed yet. Should we are arrogant and adamant about the only one way of explaining the universe phenomenon, then I bet we will not achieve too much. Let's incorporate every ideas and notions and do a very good research...
No, it is not! Just tell me how the position of the sun, stars and planets determine your future? How does their position affect you based on the time and day you were born? Astrology is a complete pseudoscience...for it heavily relies on anecdotes, experiences and testimonials. It is unfalsifiable and commits logical fallacies. Any laws of physics discovered up to now can't prove it right. Only if there is a law of physics which is undiscovered, and may work like Quantum Entanglement...then only it could have some logical scientific reseasonings...but up until that, it is a complete hoax.

I think if u r interested in theoretical physics, u don’t even have to go to college, if u have passion then u can even study by urself. Nobody is perfect in every aspect of physics. If you pursue ur career foreign then it’s the same that nobody will help you to build up ur concept in physics. Hence, it doesn’t matter.

Our solar system planets revolve around the sun .But the sun doesn't revolve around any star.
The whole solar system along with sun revolves around the centre of milky way galaxy called as Saggitarius.Saggitarius is about 26000 light years far from sun.
Solar system takes about 230 Million years to complete on cycle around Saggitarius..

At 1:03:12, sushant was asking the difference between dark matter and dark energy. He gave a pretty generic reply about the interconvertibility of matter and energy but this doesn't work in this case. Dark matter is the extra mass inferred from the gravitational effect on the motion of stars and gas. This dark matter is theorized to be in the form of dark matter halo in the galaxy (though it has never been observed). Axions are the possible fundamental particles of dark matter as suggested by the standard model of particle physics. Dark energy, on the other hand, is thought to be the driving cause of the expansion of the universe otherwise why would a universe not collapse under its own gravity.
Also, I am somewhat not convinced that he said the parallel universe is true. That's just a romanticization and commercialization of physics. This romanticization definitely helps Marvel make huge bucks. Concept of Parallel universe were first developed by Huge Everett to make possible sense of the superposed quantum states (just like what Schroedinger did with his cat) but then they were later picked up by others since these concepts serve to wow and romanticize physics. This is still good because more people are interested in physics. But it needs to be known that that's not the complete story. Very happy to see this type of discussion.

If universe is expanding then does it mean that the radius of blackhole is also increasing.. Or does it mean that the relative distance between any two heavenly bodies is also changing??
No even with expanding universe ,the radius of black hole won't increse due to this reason..instead radius of black hole increases due to another reason...not this..
The relative distance between two galaxies may differ due to expanding universe but the position of astronomical bodies within galaxies does changes usually..Einstein general theory of relativity says the distance between two fixed points on the universe will increase on expansion..but it will be a misconception to say that the distance between sun and earth will change or more like this...

Feynman didn't crack the Challenger disaster. NASA engineers were well aware of the potential O-ring issue and even advised cancelling the launch that morning. At the end it was a big bureacratic mess and PR disaster. Feynman was included in the committee mostly because of his public persona and credibility.
