Hello everyone,
Mera naam Assadullah hai aur originally Afghanistan se ho. I studied in incredible India from 2009-14.
Thank you Ranveer and Abhijit sir for this wonderful talk.
There are certain things I need to highlight about this talk:
1. As far as I know, the whole Afghanistan was never geographically part of India but culturally yes because Buddhism, Zoroastrianism and Hinduism were common religions before Islam. Kandahar is a city in southern Afghanistan which is mentioned in Hindu religious scriptures.
2. Afghanistan is a multi-ethnic country since the beginning. No ethnicity makes the majority (50% or more). Tajiks, Pashtuns, Uzbeks, Turkmens... all were divided as a result of foreign interventions. In the northern parts, Tajiks. Uzbeks and Turkmens were divided by the USSR and British agreements which considered Amo river as a natural border between the respective countries in Central Asia and Afghanistan.
3. Pashtuns were originally residents of the Solomon mountains near the Pakistani border who eventually left their homes for better life and more sustenances. They built a local government in Kandahar which was occupied by Iranian Nader Shah Afshar. Ahmad Shah Abdali and his brother was captured by Nader Shah soldiers. His brother was killed but the young Ahmad Shah was always accompanying Nader Shah. As he grew up as a man, he gained fame for his bravery and skills and was eventually promoted as an army general. Upon the assassination of Nader Shah, Ahmad Shah built his own empire in 1700s who attacked India 7-8 times. The Afghanistan history from 18th to beginning of 20th century is full of developments and the key players inside Afghanistan were grandsons of Ahmad Shah Abdali.
4. Ahmad Shah Massoud (the photo in the video belongs to his son Ahmad Massoud) was a very well known Tajik commander from Panjshir who fought the USSR and then the Pakistani-backed Taliban. He was mysteriously assassinated to pave the way for foreign troops to come to Afghanistan.
5. Considering what Afghanistan residents prefer, the Taliban or a democratic system, it is absolutely a democratic system. Superpowers have always divided Afghans into Pashtuns and non-Pashtuns and have mostly given Pashtuns the sole power to rule over the whole country. Even the government discrimination against non-Pashtuns, against the majority speaking Farsi (Dari) and punishing non-Pashtuns for fighting against the Taliban along with many other events led to rising resistance against injustice by the Pashtun-led governments. Especially in the past two decades, Hamid Karzai and Ashraf Ghani assassinated majority of Tajik, Uzbek, Hazara and Turkmen leaders to pave the way for the Taliban. So while majority of Pashtuns in rural areas are pro-Taliban and their fake-Sharia Law, non-Pashtuns (which constitute Tajiks, Uzbeks, Hazaras, Turkmens, Kyrgyz...) and even educated Pashtuns are absolutely against the Taliban, their strict ideology and their Haqqani version of Islam. Since August 2021, more than a million people have left Afghanistan fleeing the Taliban and thousands more are waiting for their passports to leave or on their way as illegal immigrants, unfortunately. Please do not forget that majority of Afghans are non-Pashtuns and they DO NOT WANT the Taliban. In fact, the Taliban are imposed on us by force and we have no other choice.

@@flashgaming4004 Though no independent body has ever conducted a fair and just census in Afghanistan since many decades, the figures are most probably biased and influenced by the politics for getting more share in the already Pashtun-dominated governments.
Even if those numbers were correct, the majority simply means “more than half”.

@@harishsr97 There are hundreds of Afghans still stranded because the Government of India did not process their visa applications despite creating a special visa scheme for Afghans in August 2021. I believe not a single visa application was processed as per the speech of former head of intelligence and a popular Anti-Pakistani figure Rahmatullah Nabil, whose Indian visa application was also rejected.

We want more videos of chavda sir very knowledgeable very intresting and gaining lot of information about our neighborhood country's
As an Afghan, I can say the history narrated here is a bit different than what we know on our side. Other ethnic groups-Uzbek, Hazara, etc. did not come to Afghanistan but lived and were already there and some had their own dynasties such as Koshanis. Afghanistan used to be part of Persian empire and some provinces were part of Delhi government- back then India was a collection of small kingdoms and not the Hindustan we know now or the Bharat he is referring to, so we couldn't call ourselves Hindustanis, but sure we shared culture and religion back then, both Hinduism and Buddhism until Islam came.
Today, we all love India and gladly share so many cultural similarities including the mass consumption of Bollywood. Even the very fact that I speak and understand Hindi while listening to this podcast is the proof. Our two previous governments had close ties with India and in fact the first president after 9/11 was educated in India.
Personally, my love for India goes beyond Bollywood and its music, I love the spirituality, yoga, and all those topics that Ranveer shares in his shows.

Hi. You are correct. In the legend Mahabharata Afghanistan was called Gandhar kingdom and it was separate from the Bharat kingdoms but it was Hindu🙃The name of its Princess was Gandhari and she was married in a kingdom in India. This proves Afghanistan was a lone wolf🙂

Pakistani here. Super interesting. Dr Abhijeet Chavda has always been my favorite on TRS. Watched all his episodes. He’s got a very systematic approach to explaining things, and especially presenting a clear bird’s eye view of matters in geopolitics. As an average Joe on these matters, it’s pretty convenient to listen to him since he touches on all aspects and leaves little to no questions unanswered. More of him please!!

@@sharmarahul1199 I actually work for the armed forces lol. Ofcourse I do take pride in my work and organization. Without delving into too much detail, we’re actually working on several projects for the benefit of our citizens. There could be other factions within the armed forces that may have that sort of anti India agenda which Dr Abhijeet was talking about. Or it could be just speculation. Nonetheless, the man is more knowledgeable than I am so there could be truth in his words. As far as treating civilians, from first hand experience I don’t think they exploit them per say, but do however hold key posts and positions in several government and private establishments. Dr Abhijeet is right in saying that they run the country; well almost. Wherever they are in key positions, in essence they’re calling the shots there on hiring and making decisions in these establishments, that impact the country overall. ‘Exploitation’ might be an exaggeration.

Abhijit sir is a gem person. Really love your podcast bro. But when you were interrupted abhijit sir speech the way he handled it proved that he is a gentleman.
After watching all this content, it strikes us alot that geopolitics is not just an intrest but a "need" for youth to understand the POV of our nation's policies and governance. I'm sure internal matters still tops the list but in upcoming elections youth should also be focused on geopolitics as well.
