She has performed this one quite a lot, so I think it's safe to say that she does indeed connect with it. In fact, she's closed many concerts with this song, including the great Nidarosdomen concert. I think this performance is the best, though.
I didn't know this was recorded that soon after his death. I hadn't discovered Aurora when she performed this, but if I had, her cover would absolutely destroy me. David Bowie was loved by both of my parents. They are gone now, but I remember his music and acting being such a big part of my childhood. I'll never forget the day he died. My father texted me at 4 a.m. and told me Bowie had passed. He was devastated. His death affected me in a way that no other celebrity death has. I was truly sad for months. I couldn't listen to his music. I'd never thought about the impact Bowie had on my life, but apparently it was great.
Recently, another reactor called her “The Queen of Glissando.” Indeed, she swoops and spins the melody and takes us up into space! She takes a surrealist lyric and creates the emotional depth of a Verdi aria. What a talent! Thanks, Saeed!
Thanks Saeed, we all have our favorite version of Life On Mars. This, the Howard Stern version and Aurora closed her Nidarosdomen concert with Life On Mars. All three are wonderful in their own way. Read a story that this was a seminar/debate type setting with people coming and going, it was not a concert based on readings. People knew there would be entertainment but didn't know who.
Thanks Dave, nice choice as always. Of course, there really are no bad choices when it comes to the wonder of Aurora. Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving Warrior friend.
Great Saeed! You know how much effort she doing in this one. The emotions are skyrocketing and technicque is flawless especially i love the timing in the slow part. Hope to see ya soon friend
She did it to me again, made me cry and I have seen this performance several times. I love the original but never really understood the words until I heard this performance.
Expect the unexpected from Aurora and you are on the right track. Mostly every cover song she did sounds like she had written these songs of her own. This one, too, a masterpiece.
🐴🐪🦓👤I'm glad you did Bowie before ; so you know the difference ... * says THAT guy ( :👤💙 Your pronunciations of foreign words Saeed , are always far better than an attempt I would make !
One of the most astounding live performances I have ever seen ever. I am not a fan of her music (although "Conqueror" is great), but she is a MAJOR talent. Maybe the most gifted singer of the century-so-far.
Oh wow, and you just did the second of my top two live vocal performances of the century, with Aretha Franklin at The Kennedy Center Honors. Your viewers are killing it with suggestions!!
This is an absolute banger of a cover, just phenomenal.
I could listen to Aurora sing all day long. Her voice is magical and ethereal. I think she relates to this song because she's not of this world.
I have heard this preformance 1000 times, it gives me goosbumps every times. There is no word that can describe it.... I am so thankfull for her art ❤
Amazing performance! Thanks for watching.
She feels music for sure. So much expressiveness and talent. It is one of things I love in her performances. Amazing cover!
Aurora
The beautiful fairy with amazing talent and soul ❤

Condolences, Yes, David died in January 2016. This was recorded in February but not shown on NKR tv until March.
❤❤❤
I love this rendition of Life On Mars, it’s so delicate and yet powerful 💜
Nice reaction, I read where Aurora said she could relate to and really understood the "girl with the mousy hair". Thanks

She definitely is. What a talent, indeed!
Great reaction....once again Aurora made a masterpiece her own. You should try her Leonard Cohen's cover of " the famous blue raincoat".
Second this suggestion Michael👍🥰

Certainly gives this song a different feel 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Both Bowie and Aurora were/are very unique
It really does. Really enjoyed this performance. Thanks for watching.
Only a ruthless and coldhearted person would pause this.
Exactly!

Amazing performance. Really captivating. Thanks for watching.

trygdekontoret = social security office
@@Dave-hb7lxYou’re right Dave, it is a talk show/debate show, but it’s the correct translation👍🥰🥰
Good job on pronunciating Trygdekontoret, it was not bad at all!
Thanks for letting me know. Love language!
Trygdekontoret is/was a Tv talkshow and means The social security office.😂
Interesting name for a talkshow 😄
