8:14 Correction: *Kishiryu-oh.* Kishiryujin was the name of the repaint mech for the movie, which was a recolor of Rex without the drills and guns, in exchange for some cobra-looking things that become shoulder drapes and the tails detach into swords.
The most noticeable differences I could see is that the zords have more molded details than the originals and a lot more range of movement on the combine forms.
Considering Hasbro showed just what they are capable of with this Dino Fury Megazord, it's a huge shame they just phoned it in with the Cosmic Fury Megazord.
Going to get a 2nd Trex Champion Zord when it hits retail for backup and if Hasbro does Dino Fury Lighting Collection Figures. Anyone who seen Ryusoulger knows why.
Yyyyyup, also probably why getting Toqger is unlikely, other than that trains just aren’t as famously liked in the west as in Japan. I don’t understand why they did the same to the top of the Tiger, I see no reason for it. The Tiger has a winged lion configuration that the Zord Link version can’t recreate because of those fake connection points.
I figure the codpiece is Hasbro covering themselves (no pun intended). Some kid making lewd combinations and then the parents going after Hasbro instead of looking at their own subpar parenting sounds like an all too likely scenario these days.
I absolutely love the combination gimmick, drawbacks and all. I spent the first week just pulling it apart and putting it together in various ways, so as a toy it's exceedingly successful. As a Megazord? . . . It just doesn't have that feel to me. The T-Rex Champion zord makes up too much of the combined modes to give it that blended feel. To me it feels like the T-Rex Champion is the actual Megazord, and the rest are just accessories. The different combined modes look cool, but they're all mostly just T-Rex Champion doing a fashion montage in some sort of rom com. T-Rex is definitely the star of the bunch, as he should be, being the centerpiece and largest figure. The poor Tigerzord is my least favorite. I really like the tiger mode, but everything else just feels lacking, mainly because it just ends up looking like Champion ripped a tiger in half and glued it to his forearms. I do like the tail as a chest piece though. I think it would be 100% better if the legs were removeable as well using a similar peg to the one that holds the two halves of the torso together. Though losing the pegs on top of the tiger does take away some of the utility of those individual parts. All that being said he reminds me of cringer from Masters of the Universe, being a green tiger. After trial and error I think my favorite combination is one I cooked up. I use the T-Rex with the rex head on the chest. I put the black cannons on the sides of his knees. On the right arm I put one of the blue cannons backwards (so that the stegosaurus weapons will fit), and then I put the triceratops head. On that shoulder I put the ankylosaur head and top it with a black drill. On the left arm I use the other blue cannon as a spacer as well, and I put the ankylosaur tail with with pink drills like a spiked hammer. That shoulder has the triceratops butt and a black drill on top. (I would put the triceratops butt on the right shoulder to match with the head, but his butt doesn't peg as well on that side, but none of the other pieces have that problem, and he doesn't have that problem on the left shoulder) I use the arm pieces from the smaller zord sets as kind of platform shoes, two under each foot. Finally I take the stegosaurus and I make the shield from the 5-warrior mode, but I use the top spikes instead of the rex head, and I make a blaster with the other parts. The legs are the handle, the tail is the barrel, and the head clips to the bottom of the tail as a sort of ammo magazine.
7:41 The reason their megazords have articulation is they have dealed with transformers before and power rangers is somewhat close to transformers so they know what to do here the changable megazord head reminds me of the headmasters which the driver becomes the head of the robot also at 1:26 i don't think they be ending at season 29 because season 30 is the 30th anniversary of power rangers meaning they could adapt zenkaiger which can fill the spot
After watching this video.my resolve to get the Japanese version has strengthened, while articulation is a great selling point I could just go out and get the minipla
In my opinion the articulation, molds, and (mostly) better paint apps put the US one over for me. But that's not to say the Japanese one looks bad by any means.
I have the Japanese version. As much as I like the polish and the building gimmick, the articulation of the Hasbro version really does have me drooling. I just want so badly for my mecha to MOVE.
Thanks. I needed this comparison. I felt burned by Hasbro with the cheap quality of the Beast Morphers and the fact that they never completed the line, despite having TWO years to do it. I think I’ll be getting the Japanese version, while I want to support PR and Hasbro, that cod piece is a big negative, quality seems hit or miss, and I’m afraid they won’t release all of the zords.
That's how it felt with the Mastodon for the Hasbro Dino Megazord the first time you fold it apart the form the Megazord if feels like you're going to break it
Off topic but Hasbro showrunner Simon Bennett said there won’t be Kyuranger due to too many Rangers or Lupinranger/Patranger due to political climate with police and Rangers being robbers. Yeah I don’t get the latter since I thought the concept of Lupin is well known in English speaking countries
I saw! He wrote it very cleverly leaving himself room to do a 180 if they do decide to adapt either season, by just acknowledging how difficult they would be. Personally I believe we're moving away from sentai, but I guess if there's going to be multiple series, I guess a younger targeted show could still use it. Out of the ones available, my ideal would be Kyuranger.

Tbh I'm not the biggest fan of the lego thing for megazords but I like the way it looks for the most part so I think I'm gonna get the amazon exclusive pack as my next megazord, especially since the 2 I actually want are so hard to find for me(ninja storm megazord and thundersaurus megazord in case someone asks)
As someone who has largely skipped the recent Megazord’s I rather enjoy the look of these zords. However I hate the instructions, and some of my joints are really tight, and really loose.
I really enjoyed Dino Fury, so after season 2 I decided to get this, my first megazord since the Ninja Megazord in 1995! Mine has a couple of loose fitting ports, but overall is pretty good. I do want to say that for me at least, a Megazord I about transformation, not so keen on this lego-y many pieces thing. I love Lego, but I have Lego for Lego if that makes any sense. You're right about kids probably losing half of this over the years
I'm just glad Hasbro decided to package all the pieces of the main Megazord, rather than making their customers hunt down the individual pieces, like with their Transformers combiner figures. And I want this to continue! Also, I hope they eventually give us the Dimetro Blazing Zord, Moza Razor Zord, and Raptor Zords, that can combine with the Dino Fury Megazord?

I know my comments are late to the party. So here goes, given that this is essentially a lego like system where you can attached almost anything to anything else, Hasbro probably didn't want anyone to be able to attach anything to the crotch area of the toy that would result in the figure looking too suggestive. And while the pegs on the T-Rex are obvious, the sabertooth has gained a new bipedal mode that its Japanese counterpart didn't have. So any piece that can basically become the crotch area of a humanoid figure would need to lack the ability to attach anything in that manner. There's a lot of parents in the US that likes to find things to be upset about, and Hasbro probably did this to avoid any controversies and potential recalls by making sure that their toys and any of the potential play patterns are "age appropriate".
I have an issue with mine. The pegs on the sides of the tail of the Black Ranger's Zord have no friction on them that the drills will fall off if you so much as tap them.

Great video! I just got my three (sets?) of these guys and was confused about the extra pieces. I don't follow Power Rangers really at all, but I always buy the zords, as I am a sucker for combining robots! Agree with what you said, quality is definitely not all the way there, but infinitely better than that Beast Morpher one (sneeze and that thing falls apart lol)
I was fiddling with mine, and I have the same problems. Tricera Blade Zord comes off way too easily from the shoulder of the T-Rex, while the head of the Tiger Claw Zord is stupid tight, and hard to remove. There are times when I'm worried I'm gonna break it.
I picked one up I actually wasn't a fan of the five night mode because of how many pieces are just left out I managed to come up with a pretty impressive-looking alternate mode uses all the pieces from all five all of pink and the bottom part of black become feet and most of green becomes a backpack but it also lets the tail become kind of a bow
All I know is the Hasbro Zeo Megazord is utter trash. They should have made it able to combine into the Zeo Megazord instead of having it be one big action figure that you can only swap the helmets.
I do wish all the pegs & holes were available, U can't actually do all the fort/tank modes, just the one with the main 3, or 2 of the Japanese alt modes with the Tiger, just what's on the boxes.
i just got this megazord as the three packs version and i have ad no problems with loss joints, loose connection ports or stability problems, tho i will say my ports are super tight tho i won't be switching out until the the six zord comes out, tho here in aus i payed $42.99 for each pack
I get why the red zord has a different port, so the megazord won't be too happy if you know what I mean. Same reason for the lost galaxy bull zord not having a tail like in Japan. But I don't understand why green has a different port too. I would love to have the tail be wings in tiger mode. Oh well. Still a cool and great zord pack. Hope I can get my hands on it soon. Congrats on 10k btw. Been here since 2017 I believe :)
As for the cod piece, Hasbro didn’t want people to stick something like the Dino tail to the cod area to give it a dick. Tbh it’s needless and unnecessary.

According to Hasbro it has too many rangers. LuPat isn't happening because of the current political stuff involving cops, and the fact that Hasbro doesn't want rangers to be in conflict with each other for more than one episode. ToQGer isn't appealing to them(though they have used ToQGer villain suits in Beast Morphers, and will do so again in Dino Fury). Pretty much the only Sentai shows they might do next are Kiramager and Zyuohger.
Hasbro probably roped Takara into the design process, just like they do with the TF toys. Takara is a really good toy design company compared to bandai
I'm kinda hoping Hasbro does what Bandai amaerica did and make original words based on the keys but then again we didn't get everything from Beast Morphers.
Anybody else having an issue where the tab like bits on the T Rex feet actually dig into and wear down at the rims of the holes the feet plug into? Other then that I haven't had any issues so far with my T Rex Champion zord, although I am hesitant to buy the other zords now.
time repeats itself, overdrive has big zords, beast morphers did the same. jungle fury had a mix, dino fury is doing the same. rpm fixed it, the 30th anniversary series will fix it
I generally agree. A couple dead ends but overall it's solid enough to warrant buying. And if they ever do a new version way in the future they can fix all the nonsense 🤷♂️
I love how you mention about the combined form having parts left out when we've had multiple megazords/ultrazords where several zords are missing. Hurricane Megazord/Ultrazord for example as the dolphinzord is missing, Super Megaforce where several forms have the the other four zords missing.
To be honest i like a bit more the zord keys from Hasbro than the Bandai ones except the one from black that one really needed some more detail, soo far Hasbro has been doing quite well with the brand soo let's go they keep improving and add more to each line
3:42 the only problem that I have with dino fury megazord is that they mimic in some way the disaster that dino thunder and dino charge did with is megazord which is make one zord ranger the entire megazord. I like when each rangers zords are needed to form any kind of megazord, couldn't them mimica littlebit migthy morphin megazord? 😂. But If I'm honest I like the megazord it looks cool.
is it just me or does anyone else find the new zords to be way overly detailed and extremely ugly? here and there there are some good ones, but generally anything past lost galaxy is just ugly imo.
Trust me, the studs aren't as distracting in person as you'd think. I've had the Japanese version for years and I kinda like the extra bit of texture it adds. What this system effectively does is turn these zords into one of those mecha videogames with loads of swappable guns, wings and melee weapons, like Armored Core. It's all about customizing your Megazord's perfect loadout. Wanna focus on firepower? Better reach? Armor plating? Balance? The options never end.
I can tell you why Hasbro made that small piece of green shield. If you get more than 1000 times complain about some toys have problem about sexual. That’s you will not take this risk.... Hasbro would like to keep their reputation more than the toy value. US is US, everyone can get refund after complain. I recommend you can study and research a bit the differences between Japan and US culture and market before you make the conclusion. We may ask a question: Who kill the toy? I think is many of crazy customers.
Heck, one of my friends told me a woman walked into their store complaining because her son built a p*nis out of LEGO pieces, and she said it was irresponsible of LEGO to "let kids do that." Parents are SO DESPERATE not to parent.

Mine is rock solid, don't have any of those issues on mine. Of course I used clear nail polish as soon as I got it out the box.

I don't follow Power Rangers really at all, but I always buy the zords, as I am a sucker for combining robots! Agree with what you said, quality is definitely not all the way there, but infinitely better than that Beast Morpher one (sneeze and that thing falls apart lol)

I was fiddling with mine, and I have the same problems.
Tricera Blade Zord comes off way too easily from the shoulder of the T-Rex, while the head of the Tiger Claw Zord is stupid tight, and hard to remove.
There are times when I'm worried I'm gonna break it.
I picked one up I actually wasn't a fan of the five night mode because of how many pieces are just left out I managed to come up with a pretty impressive-looking alternate mode uses all the pieces from all five all of pink and the bottom part of black become feet and most of green becomes a backpack but it also lets the tail become kind of a bow
All I know is the Hasbro Zeo Megazord is utter trash. They should have made it able to combine into the Zeo Megazord instead of having it be one big action figure that you can only swap the helmets.

with these we can make our own custom megazords zords and ultrazords as we see fit
They changed it to dino fury since that name was already taken cause jungle fury
when argos finally release i am getting these zords but as for the cod piece it for is going to stay on the t-rex
I do wish all the pegs & holes were available, U can't actually do all the fort/tank modes, just the one with the main 3, or 2 of the Japanese alt modes with the Tiger, just what's on the boxes.
Ah I wasn't aware of the tank combo of all 5 but you're so right, it's not possible for dino fury cause of the fake studs 😩
i just got this megazord as the three packs version and i have ad no problems with loss joints, loose connection ports or stability problems, tho i will say my ports are super tight tho i won't be switching out until the the six zord comes out, tho here in aus i payed $42.99 for each pack

I get why the red zord has a different port, so the megazord won't be too happy if you know what I mean. Same reason for the lost galaxy bull zord not having a tail like in Japan. But I don't understand why green has a different port too. I would love to have the tail be wings in tiger mode. Oh well. Still a cool and great zord pack. Hope I can get my hands on it soon. Congrats on 10k btw. Been here since 2017 I believe :)

As for the cod piece, Hasbro didn’t want people to stick something like the Dino tail to the cod area to give it a dick. Tbh it’s needless and unnecessary.
I like the hasbro Dino fury megazord I only have a few complaints not a lot over all I really like it.i plan on buying another t Rex zord so I display all my zords

Why didn't they adapt kyuranger
According to Hasbro it has too many rangers. LuPat isn't happening because of the current political stuff involving cops, and the fact that Hasbro doesn't want rangers to be in conflict with each other for more than one episode. ToQGer isn't appealing to them(though they have used ToQGer villain suits in Beast Morphers, and will do so again in Dino Fury). Pretty much the only Sentai shows they might do next are Kiramager and Zyuohger.

Hasbro probably roped Takara into the design process, just like they do with the TF toys. Takara is a really good toy design company compared to bandai
I'm kinda hoping Hasbro does what Bandai amaerica did and make original words based on the keys but then again we didn't get everything from Beast Morphers.

Anybody else having an issue where the tab like bits on the T Rex feet actually dig into and wear down at the rims of the holes the feet plug into? Other then that I haven't had any issues so far with my T Rex Champion zord, although I am hesitant to buy the other zords now.

time repeats itself, overdrive has big zords, beast morphers did the same. jungle fury had a mix, dino fury is doing the same. rpm fixed it, the 30th anniversary series will fix it
I actually really hate the Ryusoulger designs, but hasbro's toy definitely makes the best of that bad, bad situation.
Megazord combinations have become so convoluted and messy that it’s just bad. Astro megazord looked so much better and it was just a ship.

I generally agree. A couple dead ends but overall it's solid enough to warrant buying. And if they ever do a new version way in the future they can fix all the nonsense 🤷♂️
I love how you mention about the combined form having parts left out when we've had multiple megazords/ultrazords where several zords are missing. Hurricane Megazord/Ultrazord for example as the dolphinzord is missing, Super Megaforce where several forms have the the other four zords missing.

To be honest i like a bit more the zord keys from Hasbro than the Bandai ones except the one from black that one really needed some more detail, soo far Hasbro has been doing quite well with the brand soo let's go they keep improving and add more to each line

I'm not a fan of the lego connections. Seems very cheep
3:42 the only problem that I have with dino fury megazord is that they mimic in some way the disaster that dino thunder and dino charge did with is megazord which is make one zord ranger the entire megazord. I like when each rangers zords are needed to form any kind of megazord, couldn't them mimica littlebit migthy morphin megazord? 😂. But If I'm honest I like the megazord it looks cool.

is it just me or does anyone else find the new zords to be way overly detailed and extremely ugly? here and there there are some good ones, but generally anything past lost galaxy is just ugly imo.

While I appreciate all the articulation I really don't like the Mega-Block gimmick of this series Megazords.
Trust me, the studs aren't as distracting in person as you'd think. I've had the Japanese version for years and I kinda like the extra bit of texture it adds. What this system effectively does is turn these zords into one of those mecha videogames with loads of swappable guns, wings and melee weapons, like Armored Core. It's all about customizing your Megazord's perfect loadout. Wanna focus on firepower? Better reach? Armor plating? Balance? The options never end.
I can tell you why Hasbro made that small piece of green shield.
If you get more than 1000 times complain about some toys have problem about sexual. That’s you will not take this risk....
Hasbro would like to keep their reputation more than the toy value.
US is US, everyone can get refund after complain. I recommend you can study and research a bit the differences between Japan and US culture and market before you make the conclusion.

Heck, one of my friends told me a woman walked into their store complaining because her son built a p*nis out of LEGO pieces, and she said it was irresponsible of LEGO to "let kids do that." Parents are SO DESPERATE not to parent.
