@@emgo316I like the look mostly. Something about the T-Rex's head doesn't sit right with me but can't say why. Not sure why they put non-rolling wheels on the feet for tank mode. I think the front legs of the sabertooth need to be in the lower position for it as well. As it is, looks like cat is chest surfing instead of rolling (like a gangsta). I like what they did for the pteradactyl with incorporating the sword into it. It made me actually like it. With the nice detailing and colouring not being cartoony bright, the whole set is very nice and if I was still collecting them, this would be my number 2 Megazord choice. My first is the black&gold version done decades ago using the original Bandai molds.
Not sure why but the other version you have looks to be leaning to me and despite more accurate show colours looks off model imo.

It’s certainly a unique take on the Dino Megazord. The chest piece, the T-Rex tail still being visible, the Pterodactyl’s wings being a part of the final transformation. It looks more like a powerful Demon Lord than just a mecha.

While I personally disagree with the decision to design the Megazord with the T-Rex tail attached, I do admit there is a Goliath (Gargoyles TV series) charm about the overall design that I do like.
Overall, very nice redesign.
I mean multiple times in the show the T-Rex cords tail was used as a functional weapon in combat so this kinda gives me the vibes that they gave this "ultimate weapon against evil" as much versatility as possible

Have have that figure as well. The cannons store literally in the butts of the saber tooth tiger and triceratops. They have little tabs for slots on the guns

I wish we would of gotten this in the 2017 remake. I like this a lot I wouldn't be surprised if someone did make this into Godzilla. I mean they made a mmpr vs godzilla comic i see the possibilities.

@@thelordsigma well yes it is cause the Dragonzord stand upright swim in water shoot lasers out of his mouth one part that the Dragonzord is missing is the back spine aka dorsal plates so technically the Dragonzord is kinda of a rendition of Godzilla although if they want to put the Dragonzord in a movie they gonna have to get permission from either Toho or Legendary to put the Dragonzord in a PR Movie only if they design the Dragonzord to look like Godzilla

The big ol wings make me think of the cube version that came out recently & the aesthetics really remind of the SIC figures with the whole super stylised nature.
O_O As someone that grew up in the 90's with the ORIGINAL megazord design, OMG! I WISH WE HAD THIS DESIGN BACK THEN!! O_O This looks Friggin EPIC!!!
This strikes me as more of a Daizyuujin than a Megazord, simply because Daizyuujin was actually alive and this...this absolutely look alive.
What I love about this new modern design is, he looks on par with Dream Works Voltron. They'd look so awesome next to one another.

I'm not into power rangers but this is a beautiful looking figure! Also at the 34:40 mark I had a pimp moment with "Where's my Powder"?, when you splayed his fingers in the perfect smacking position LMAO 🤣.
Well, this is a monstrous redesign of a old classic (pun intended). I like it.
Makes me wonder how Dragonzord might end up looking if it receives the same treatment from Flame Toys.
With a company name like "Flame Toys", you'd think you'd be getting melted toys.
The Mastodon always get the short end of the stick design wise since it needs to used for the shoulders and arms for the megazord form
When I first saw this, I knew I needed to get it - even though it was closer in price to Unicron than most of the toys I buy. And yet... I do not regret any of it. Knowing they are doing the Dragonzord is just the icing on the cake, but I hope it doesn't take them 2 years..... Of course, what I'd LOVE to see is a Titanus to go with it...
for me, the perfect third party zords would use a universal combination joint so any zord can be an arm, any zord can be a leg, and any combination is valid even crossing generations of the show. There'd need to be a side line of megazord helmets for all the many infinite possible unoficial combinations.

also I think the cannons store in the butt connectors for the triceragiraffe and the sabertooth tiger, the place used to connect in megazord mode. personally I really dont like how tank mode needs to hold the cannons, rather than them plugging in on a rotation. the fist spin as it stands is one of the more iconic and cool parts of the tank-to-megazord sequence and having the hands already there kinda ruins it

the mecha in zyuranger (ancestor of mighty morphin where it was referenced from) is DaiZyuJin, and he's supposed to be a god in the show. This design in their toy screams of what god really is. I passionately love it.
I figured out where to store those cannons when they're all in Dino modes. They can fit inside of the Triceratops and saber-toothed tiger, Barrel first and can click in there like the T-Rex's legs
I just confirmed this myself. I just got this figure Friday and I've watched this video as well as JobbyTheHongs Just playing stream and it was driving me nuts where to store the guns in dino modes.
This is so friggin' sick. Some genius redesign ideas. The pterodactyl in particular got the best glow up. Why couldn't we have seen something like this in the 2017 movie instead of the trash we got? Great review, too.
Oh, and as an elephant lover, I'll just pretend that the mastodon is a baby elephant trying his best. That makes it much better, imo.
This thing is amazing. Spectacular detail, awesome designs, and only a moderately high price tag 😅 although I wouldn't mind shelling out for something so grand.
I will say though, if you like this design, but don't wanna pay the price, and don't mind having a smaller figure, there is the lucky cat micro cosmos beast lord toy, sitting bout 100-250 less than this guy, and has design elements incorporated that look VERY similar to this toys.
Now when I say smaller I'm talking waaaaay smaller. Lucky cats toy only stands about 20-25 centimeters tall when in megazord form. So you can guess how small the zords are. But the set does come with all sorts of weapons and option pieces for the megazord and zords (namely the pterodactyl zord) that imo make up for the size being so small.
This figure has the best posable robot hands ever! Fully articulated thumbs and fingers with different lengths! 💯

Got to love the shinyness of most of the parts, particularly that "race car red", I might just have to get this thing now >_
Got to admit High pitch long neck Stronius caught me of guard lol As for the figure it's beautiful, the level of detail and articulation everything feels like the level of quality that the ZAP version should have had. Granted this is a much more expensive toy but still it looks like you get what you pay for. As for the price though, I will say that it feels very VERY expensive for a plastic toy just like the ZAP version, that price point for all plastic feels very very high.
I hope Flame Toys continues with their MMPR line bc I’d pay my KIDNEY to have a Thunder Megazord in this style🤩

The Tyranosaurus absolutely looks like they used the unused Zyu2/3 designs for inspiration at the very least.
I've always wanted designs of those in toy form since they look way too cool to just stick as concept art.
You can pretty much see the T-rex zord is gonna be bulked up and repurposed into the Dragonzord.
Why don't you put the cannons in blue and yellow zord's back(that's empty)

Man I just got this figure and one of the mastodon legs (the ones on the back of the megazord) popped off for no reason. The tiny pegs that hold it in broke or something. Luckily I was able to super glue it back on

Biggest gripes for me is mastodon looks too weird and I don’t like the tail in combined form but other than that it’s super impressive. The combined form does look amazing. Those wings are awesom and I do indeed like how the pterodactyl is much more involved in this version.
The guns store in the triceratops and the Sabertooth. Barrel facing in. Line the little sight part up with the groove on the door that opens on each underbelly.
Why wasn't the 2017 movie megazord designed like this? It gives the techno organic feel they were going for but without the Xenomorph look

Aside from the Mastodon, I believe this is significantly superior to the OG Megazord!
I always thought the Megazord looked incomplete & needed wings!
It also always annoyed me how Pink's Pterodactyl completely disappeared & her color blended into Red's, leaving no representation to her being part of the team (the Thunderzords have this problem also with Pink's only representation being two tiny pink dots, and the Ninjazords have Pink blend into White, since Pink's Zord was nonexistent in Super Sentai).
I wanna see how the flame toys megazord looks next to the lucky cat megazord. Maybe it would make a fun yt short

.... god I REALLY REALLY hope that someone is planning to KO upscale this set! Love mine. But, I would LOVE to buy 3 of these at the scale of that Blitzway Voltron. KO upscale this and the coming Flametoys Dragonzord. OMG... take my wallet now, lol. Again. LOVE LOVE LOVE this set. But I wish it was a LOT larger!
i like Triceratops with legs makes it look more like one instead of the original with wheels i like it with legs more also the head and neck doing that makes it similar to the brachiosaurus with a long neck can’t believe they made this version of the Triceratops making it similar to that

Ironically, the coloration of Flame Toys' is more screen accurate than ZAP Megazord in Once and Always, funny when you realize the intention was make the CGI Dino Megazord match the ZAP version and wasn't toy accurate still
I've always thought it was weird how the fangs on the Saber tooth tiger were not in its mouth
My only real complaint beyond the mastodon size is the giant tail in combined mode. Still, gorgeous. Wonder if we'll get a Dragonzord that can combine with it

I found a few qc issues on my copy the "beak" on the triceratops came off, one of the mastadons ears came off, and one of the side pannels on the sbaertooth tiger too, but all in all it os a fantastic set all the above faults were easily fixed with a tiny bit of glue, maybe not quite worth the price point (i paid just under £400 for mine) but only by like £50, still love it and cant wait for their dragonzord release

Great review I’ve had this figure for about two weeks now and it’s the best megazord to date, now when flame toys releases the dragonzord for preorder ima be so hyped but so sad cuz I didn’t get two of these I would love to display both megazord and dragonzord in battle mode together

So basically someone took Moltor's design and mixed it with the Dino Megazord of MMPR and created this.
Is there some trick to extending the megazord head up "like so"? When I tried to pull mine up it popped off. I don't think it's supposed to do that, but it pops back onto the ball joint pretty easily... just want to know how to raise the thing the right way
