Alpe Express, a model of intra-resort mobility.
POMA, with more than 80 years of shared history with Alpe d’Huez, has assisted the resort in building a dedicated public transport system. Alpe Express is a gondola lift connecting the center of the resort to the foot of the slopes and will soon connect to the village of Huez.
The new dual-section gondola lift is a particle-free means of transportation and will replace the traffic previously operated by the numerous shuttle buses. Equipped with the DirectDrive® solution and the Cable Position System-an embedded security device-this unique peri-urban ropeway will be the first in France to use the Agent-Free Operation system.
POMA customized this equipment to adapt to the need for mobility of the resort's inhabitants and customers. It is part of a strong sustainable development approach. Alpe d'Huez is doing things differently and is taking a stand as the resort of the future!

Alpe Express, un modèle de mobilité intra-station.
POMA, dont l’histoire s’écrit depuis plus de 80 ans avec celle de la station, a accompagné l’Alpe d’Huez dans la construction d’un transport collectif en site propre. Alpe Express est une télécabine qui raccorde le centre station au front de neige, et bientôt au village d’Huez.
Moyen de transport zéro particule, la nouvelle télécabine double tronçons remplacera le trafic opéré jusqu’à lors par les nombreuses navettes routières. Équipé de la solution DirectDrive® et du Cable Position System, un dispositif de sécurité embarqué, ce transport unique en son genre sera le premier appareil péri-urbain en Exploitation sans Agent de France.
POMA a réalisé un équipement sur-mesure, qui répond aux besoins de mobilité des habitants et clients de la station et qui s’inscrit dans une démarche de développement durable forte. L’Alpe d’huez sort du cadre et réaffirme sa position de station du futur !
