Idk there is something enjoyable about planning your char and knowing its strength. Like why watch this if all you care about is playing the class you like? :P
I feel like there's a disconnect in my brain between what I think I will like and what I actually like. Like I would love to be a prot paladin, a rogue, a warrior, a hunter, etc. but in reality the gameplay of aoe farming on a mage and doing most damage in dungeons and near-top in raids and farming the most gold and portalling and free food and water and being a god in pvp just actually plays out so much better than anything else
Ret isn’t the only way to level a Paladin. You can go straight down holy into consecration, then grab some shield talents at the top of Prot and you can pull 3-4 mobs at once constantly even in the low 20s. Perfectly serviceable to tank or heal dungeons in this spec. Just rock stam/int/spirit gear. Once you get level 38+ you can do insane aoe pulls with judgement of wisdom and seal of light. Also, call it cope, but I think with Dual Spec in we will see Prot paladins tanking raid trash and swapping to Holy spec to heal on bosses.
yeah it's basically cope unless you're in a guild with bad/undergeared warrior tanks or warrior tanks who dont know how to fury prot, plus you will likely be behind them in gear and also you should just be healing if that's what you were brought to the raid for.... like you already have a tank war there, what else is he gonna do? talent swaps are probably not going to work outside of major cities
Yeah, if you know what you are doing (i.e. one-hander int/stam gear 11/x/0) paladins are basically melee priests - cast your buffs, sit back and auto-attack/wand to 60 while also being able to heal AND tank in dungeons as a pala.
@SolheimGaming In my point of view, dual spec actually pushes druid up a tier, because you can (as the only class) join a raid to fill all 3 roles. The versatility-kings get even more versatility. Cats will also get a tad more dps than before due to being able to use rip.
@@plasticbudgie Do you have a reference for this? All the official information refers to dual spec being introduced at some point, not at launch. There is no information yet about where you can learn dual spec, at what level or where/when you can swap between specs.

Sadly Tier 1 gear form Molten Core is all you ever need. The difference in damage to T2 is not much :/ . And back then with limited debuff slots full T2 was out of question anyway. Because of that most progress-guilds only raid with 2-3 Hunters in their 40 man raids (just enough to Tranq Shot certain bosses [Some guilds even let you only join for that specific fight with your hunter and switch you out afterwards]. If you don't mind to see every cool Item that other classes can use go to anyone but you and i mean ANYONE then ok you can do it. I more than probably anyone want Shadow Priest to be good in Vanilla, but I know this just isn't the case. In PVE, a full shadow priest isn't worth the raid spot and most guilds will have you as a hybrid disc/shadow to off heal. SP dps is very bad and the mana issues can't be ignored either. They are great in PVP and will have their come up in TBC, but till then, get used to healing if you want to raid.
@valitsemllaluokanavahyvaks3556 there wasn't much of a problem with that last time I played. Yeah there are sweaty players but there was plenty of guilds that will let you play what you like.
@SolheimGaming I'm wondering what your thoughts are on just how much of the playerbase will be sticking to the toxic, min-maxing gatekeeping mindset that's been plaguing classic since 2019? I mean, it's our 4th go at classic, we know how easy the content is, and a lot of classes just got a lot better with the debuff limit removed, and yet I'm still seeing creators pushing out the same guides where they basically say you NEED to be running 25/30 warriors in every raid or you won't clear. They don't specifically say 'won't', but they push the mindset to the absolute limit, with a little 5 second disclaimer at the end where they mutter 'play what you want' I know warriors will still be top dps, I KNOW the most 'optimized' group is 30 warriors and all that crap. What I don't get is how most of us haven't realized that we don't have to play that way, that just as much if not more fun can be had by just letting people play what they want, and the same results can be had. I'm just terrified that these servers are just going to be a rinse/repeat of everyone reinforcing the absolute WORST aspects of the game, and just deliberately ruining things for people, because instead of the 'journey, fun and experience' all that ends up truly mattering is 'numbers, math, and efficiency'
I think the playing for fun players are the silent majority. Just ignore all the sweaty players and guilds and find like minded players and you will still clear content. Does suck that gaming in 2024 is nothing but the meta for a lot of people, and this is supposed to be a PVE game from a bygone era to get a break from PVP sweat in say an RTS or FPS. But I think a lot more people have that resentment against that like we do than you realize.

@@BurgydaHerky Shadow still has mana issues and can't do even a fraction of the DPS other, better specs can even with the removal of the debuff limit. Affliction warlocks aren't viable either, regardless of whether they can cast all their dots.
Hm warrior will not be that strong. Remember, we have 10/11 months of raids only in total. That is a good chunk less resets, so only a few warriors will gear enough to become machines. The rest will wonder around like "wtf"
lol, warlocks are crazy strong in pvp, sure they are not good dps, BUT, they bring good utlity AND you NEED warlocks for curses for overall damage of the raid. Also, its extremely easy to get raid spot because no one plays warlock, despite them being good + in TBC they become actually god tier. So putting them in B tier is legit a disgrace for this fresh server. Also, again, paladin, auras and buffs, best pvp healer, so many good things about them, B tier???????? This tier list is so biased xD
Obvious your opinion of Ferals is a bit off... go watch the Vods of Guzu on his Feral Druid leveling... The pommeler is not the only path to playing it well... My guess is you've never played on in classic and are guessing based on other folk's opinions.
Not at all. People Min max too much and classic was about just having a good time. A healer is a healer, plus like previous commenter said classic will just be a fun waiting room to re-live all the classic content before TBC. There won't be any time to Min max stuff
The problem with the information in this video is that the classes are ranked based primarily on their desirability in raiding. You tell us at the beginning just to play the class we like and don’t worry about what anyone thinks, but then the rest of the video is about why no one will want to give you a raid spot for one reason or another. I happen to be a big raider myself (mostly rogue), but many players are not; for many, hitting 60 and then doing end-game dungeons, maxing reps and professions, acquiring their class dungeon sets, etc. is their idea of end game-those folks are getting mixed messages here. Edit: For example, if you don’t plan to do any serious raiding, shadow priests and druids are amazing for dungeons. With a hybrid druid spec, you can be a terrific healer and also a kick-ass tank. If you omit raiding, I would move druids and shadow priests up higher on your chart.
So true, and for sure the best answer here, Druids (in a raid setting) is a healing class, obviously, we all know that, they still bring Innervate, buffs and okay ish healing, but looking past everything else, they are pretty good. Its an extremely biased tier list lol
Druids can beat any class 1v1 easy as hybrid caster. cat dps with shifting is decent for raids. Bear tank is good for certain bosses with that huge health pool. Druid all around with a true classic player can be unstoppable… I was doing that kitty quick shift back in 2004 owning people. The leveling as Druid is great, no down time at all. Can jump in and tank instances or heal without a problem.
Play what you want. But dint play these classes are they are dog poop at end game. Lol. All seriousness druids are great levellers, not deserving of c tier. Easily a to s tier.
How does duo spec being out mean this video is void LMAO This video was literally made after dual talent spec was confirmed & was made with that in mind. No idea what you're smoking but give me some.
dual spec changes maybe that players like me will even try to play because due to my limited time I can only play healer or tank (less time spent in lfg) and without dual spec its a no-go for me removed limit on debuffs is way bigger impact than dual spec
Surprised you mentioned that rogues will be one of the more populated classes. I think that's your PvP server bias showing. When I played classic era on PvP, rogue was one of the most played classes, but on PvE it was one of the least played classes. I think you'll be surprised how few rogues you'll see on the PvE server this time
I started as a rogue in Vanilla on PvP server and you are right. I could get into dungeons but it took hours it was horrible (I just had a ton of free time back then). In TBC I had to abandon my rogue completely because only 1 or 2 could fit into a 25man raid on my server, it was basically one melee group with windfury and thats it (dunno how it was in last TBC classic but this was my situation in the past). +I never liked combat, I loved subtlety or poisons but many mobs were immune to poisons and bleeds.
Sorry but this is a lazy video. These servers will progress through TBC. Which means the class rankings should be based on TBC not Vanilla. Warriors in TBC aren't as good as they are in Vanilla. A lot of classes get a lot more viable specs in TBC

lol, warlocks are crazy strong in pvp, sure they are not good dps, BUT, they bring good utlity AND you NEED warlocks for curses for overall damage of the raid.
I have 3 Ferals at level 60 in Classic, one on priv server, one in Classic Era, and one in Hardcore. I've played Feral 😊👍
You did not take pvp into consideration
I really want to shadow priest in pve but classic won't allow it. Guess I could level and do some pvp until BC.
Shadow Priest hype!
hes wrong about that my old classic raids had at least 1 shadow priest for the debuff +shadow damage
I’m rolling a resto Druid, am I cooked chat?
Not at all. People Min max too much and classic was about just having a good time. A healer is a healer, plus like previous commenter said classic will just be a fun waiting room to re-live all the classic content before TBC. There won't be any time to Min max stuff
Resto Druid is spamming rank 4 healing touch and you will be the weakest healer. Weaker than priest, pally, or shaman. Tbc Druids get way better.
@@Toweliee69will see, druids can use their hots too now, since buff cap is removed… I think they’re gonna be better then people think…
Resto is fine, but you might have trouble finding raid spots because 1 resto druid is enough, especially since hots from multiple druids don't stack.
with duel spec druids will be goated
If I could pay for my sub I would choose a Warrior.
Warrior has been my pick since 2005.
For the Horde!
I appreciate your videos. Thank you.
I know its a streamers job to do tier lists and hype vids but really.. classic has been re-re-relaunching every year lately those vids are countless 😂
Hype is real
Druid is S tier
Druids can beat any class 1v1 easy as hybrid caster. cat dps with shifting is decent for raids. Bear tank is good for certain bosses with that huge health pool. Druid all around with a true classic player can be unstoppable… I was doing that kitty quick shift back in 2004 owning people. The leveling as Druid is great, no down time at all. Can jump in and tank instances or heal without a problem.
the best class to play is the one you ahve the most fun on. the content is so trivial it's an absolute joke.
Hint...it's furry warturds
Play what you want. But dint play these classes are they are dog poop at end game. Lol. All seriousness druids are great levellers, not deserving of c tier. Easily a to s tier.
Duo spec confirmed so this video is void.
How does duo spec being out mean this video is void LMAO
This video was literally made after dual talent spec was confirmed & was made with that in mind.
No idea what you're smoking but give me some.
Dual spec will be allowed on lvl 60 is my guess… maybe 50…. It’s for end game content
Dual spec doesn’t change the meta lol
dual spec changes maybe that players like me will even try to play because due to my limited time I can only play healer or tank (less time spent in lfg) and without dual spec its a no-go for me
removed limit on debuffs is way bigger impact than dual spec
Surprised you mentioned that rogues will be one of the more populated classes. I think that's your PvP server bias showing. When I played classic era on PvP, rogue was one of the most played classes, but on PvE it was one of the least played classes. I think you'll be surprised how few rogues you'll see on the PvE server this time
Why that?? So I’ll roll rogue
Lol why, half the pop is not even gonna play TBC.
Tbc is in 14 months anyway
@ClintOrris
Dumbest comment I’ve read in quite some time.
It’s a year from now. You can level an alt.
Whatever
Theres no GDKP and multiboxing farming frostmaul ekkos with 30 accounts to make shekels is frowned upon, so ima pass on classic, no dough to be made.
Thank fuck for no GDKPs
@@SolheimGaming100% 🎉 GDKPS made the game unplayable for casuals
Thank you for not playing and screwing our fun. Good riddance!
