Her technique and tonal mastery is second to none; for instance she builds the music to a terrifying climax in the first mvt development section which perfectly evokes the savage conflicts of war torn Soviet Russia, and the finale is simply breathtaking. A remarkable young woman.
How did the piano not burst into flames?! Seriously, piano playing better than this doesn't exist. Powerful, passionate, lyrical, mysterious, ... Just perfect.
The music perfectly encapsulates the mental landscape of angst and internal discord when trapped in a system of lies....which is what America has become as well. It's ugly and it sounds that way as well.
What a chaotic and rambling performance... It’s not a good performance.Palpably, Prokofiev it’s not her cup of tea and she completely doesn’t understand the score of this work. 👎
